Quick Take: good for daily use
I use this about once a week to get the extra product buildup out of my hair, and off my scalp. Make sure you leave it sit on your hair for 3 min for full effect (usually while I wash & shave) It smells fantastic, almost like tea tree oil? Very invigorating!!

This product is great. I easily get buildup on my scalp which in turn was making my hair thin and scalp itchy. I was skeptical at first because I have tried clarifiy shampoos in the past and all they did was dry out my hair and make the situation worse. This is the best shampoo, it is super cleansing and clears out the DHT build up! LOVE IT!!! Even after using just a few times my scalp feels so much better. A+++ product

Everytime I move to SD, I keep losing hair..while combing, while brushing, in shower and my scalp starts showing. Bought this with high hopes. DIDNOT help. was nt help but didnt improve condition..

Thin hair and oily scalp MUST HAVE

I am always looking for a shampoo that fits my hair type. I have somewhat thin, long hair, uncolored. I work out often and tend to get an oily scalp. I used to use Rene Furterer products until the oily scalp shampoo just stopped having an effect on my scalp. I've also used tea tree oil based shampoos as well, and they don't really do much either. Then i read the name of this Alterna product and was sold. I have used Alterna's old Shine shampoo and conditioner from years ago and loved it. So, i gave it a shot and i am SO HAPPY. I pray that they never discontinue this shampoo. It is exactly what i needed. It's good for daily use, balances the scalp, and the effect lasts. I love it and would recommend it to everyone with a similar hair type.

Quick Take: the best
This is the BEST shampoo I'e ever used, I was losing a LOT of hair, plus i had a bad time with oily dandruff, anyway my hair loss started 10 years ago or more and i have been trying all kind of products,expensive shampoo, vitamin, etc... its a long list. Until one day I saw this shampoo at Sephora so I bought it, tried it and I'm in love with this shampoo I will never use another shampoo. It is expensive but worth every penny. My hair stop falling out, YAY!! it is growing fuller and thicker, and i don't have oily scalp anymore, my hair looks so beautiful... Amazing product. I love Alterna Caviar Clinical.

Dissapointing

I decided to try this shampoo due to the high reviews it has and also since my hair has been falling out alot. It turns out it did not work for me as I had hoped. This shampoo actually made my hair fall way more than it was before and it was acutally scary to see those big clumps in the shower. The consistency is also really thick and makes it harder to work the shampoo into my hair. Overall it did not work for me and would not re-purchase again.

Quick Take: hydrating, good for daily use, smoothing
I haven't noticed any "thickening" of my hair, but this is none the less the best shampoo I've ever tried. I use Wen, but I find that it makes my hair greasy after a while. I need something to cleanse it, but other shampoos are too rough on my color treated hair. Using this shampoo makes it soft and not feel like straw after I rinse it out. Totally worth the price tag.

I do like this shampoo, however I am having issues w/ hair loss and I thought this might help but it really hasn't. It does however make my hair feel thicker, smells great and you really don't have to use much at all! Seriously, only a quarter size amount will do. It a bit pricey tho...

My hair is similar to another reviewer's - dry at the ends but oily at the roots where even by the end of the day it looked like I hadn't washed it. Gross! This works perfectly. I was able to go 2.5 days without a wash. Probably more if I had used dry shampoo. It gives a nice tingly feeling on your scalp and I feel like that's getting it really clean, without over-drying. At the recommendation of the other reviewer, I also bought the Caviar Anti-Aging Moisturizing Conditioner and this combo, along with the Bamboo Volume 48 Hour Spray has my hair looking thick, lush, and clean. Alterna products really are the best!

The only one for me

Since using this product I've noticed a decrease in the dandruff and flakes my scalp would produce. I will never use anything else but this shampoo. Ive tried so many products with promises which lead to fusteration and discontent.
This product is the only one that worked!
I'd give it 10 stars if that were an option.

Quick Take: good for daily use
I bought this shampoo because I have very oily hair that needs to be washed EVERY day, but it's dry at the same time so I need moisturizing. So I bought this shampoo, with the Alterna anti-aging moisture conditioner. Let me make myself clear, my hair is fine, oily and dry. This combination helped my hair out big time! My hair is CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN, shiny, soft, smooth, and bouncy. This shampoo is really thick and lathers up nicely. It smells minty and does feel nice on the scalp. I got the Bamboo Color Care UV+ Fade-Proof Fluide as a sample (which is basically an oil/heat protectant) and used this on damp hair and my hair is seriously amazing. I don't rave about anything undeserving (look at my other reviews of make up and other junk)... This worked for me... I don't know how it works using a different conditioner, but this combination worked for me. Hope it works for you!! LOVE IT!

I have oily hair.. And since I starting using this shampoo my hair looks super clean, I dont have to wash it "every day" like before.. Smells great (mint) and feels fresh on your scalp. It also helped me with flakes problem.. You can see the difference in your hair since the first use.. It a little bit pricy.. But it's worth it..!! Great results..! :)

Hair grows more quickly and fuller

I alternate using this shampoo with Phytocyane Shampoo, followed by a hydrating conditioner. Twice a week I use Phytocyane Revitalizing Serum for Thinning Hair for Women (glass vials). I've noticed increased thickness and fullness, amazingly quicker growth and healthier hair using these 3 products.
