This gel is incredible. My hair is currently bleached and fried but I use this gel when my hair is damp and run it through from roots to ends and it smooths my hair and makes it look shiny and healthy while not leaving a greasy or crispy texture.

Cripsy Hair, Nasty Smell

Quick Take: awful
In theory, this sounds like the perfect product. I normally just use Moroccan or Macadamia oil in my hair before blowing dry. However, if I want to rock bouncy curls or loose waves, the oil keeps it from holding the curl for very long. So I thought this product would be perfect - the treatment qualities of an oil with the hold of a gel. Wrong. My hair was dry and crispy after using a small amount. And the smell! It smells like the fake lemon juice that comes in those plastic lemons at the grocery store. The smell was very off-putting. I returned this after one use.

Does nothing for my dry hair

I did not find that this product adds shine, smoothes, reduces flyaways or hydrates...The texture of the product is nice but that is the only nice thing I can say about this product... I have naturally curly, dry and color treated hair and I flat iron it 2 or 3 times a year... I will not buy again!

This gel is great giving hydration and smoothing very dry hair. Very pleased with this purchase.
Apply a small amount on towel dried hair. I apply the most on the ends and comb through the hair. Makes combing and styling easier and makes my hair look and feel much better.

Unusual product!

Alterna makes great products, overall not impressed with this stuff. Smells like sour lemons! Starts out oily, fine for moisturizing then it becomes a styling aid, which actually dried my hair out. Would not purchase, but love the Bamboo products they make, deep moisture mask is excellent and the Kendi oil treatment is good.

I had 7 (bad) chemical treatments in 3 months and my hair is ruined, however Alterna Caviar shampoo, conditioner, Overnight Rescue, oil gel and straightening balm rescued my hair. It looks and feels great, styles easily again and makes my hair look shiny and silky and no one would ever know my hair was completely chemically fried by a bad colorist. this stuff is a self esteem, ego and life saver!!!,

My hair is so damaged and I've tired every product out there to try and restore it back to normal but nothing worked. This makes my hair shiny, stronger and manageable. It's also decreased the amount of hair I lose.

Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight
This product was suggested to me by my stylist. It adds shine and a little weight to control fly-aways. I have thick, course, processed hair (I am too young to be grey) and this product helps control humidity and hold my style longer. Since I color my hair, I look for products without alcohol and sulfates to keep my color looking good longer.
