Returned it
-05.21.13
Quick Take: smells
I returned this because it said in reviews it had a nice tropical scent to it. Figured out that bronzing self tanning lotions always smell gross. It's the chemical reaction your body makes to it that makes it smell bad so I wouldn't recommend this

Stinky
-05.20.13
Works ok, smells gross. Wish my perfume scent lasted as long as this stinky, chemical smell. The color lasted and it was gradual, but I couldn't get passed the all-day-long stink.

great color- horrible smell
-05.08.13
Quick Take: gradual, long lasting, very strong self tanner smell
I would have given this 5 stars for the color it gave me and for it not coming off on your clothes...however, the smell is very strong and not pleasant. Smells like really bad self tanner. And it doesn't totally go away after you shower, but it does decrease quite a bit where it is tolerable. I would have kept it, and put up with the after shower smell, but ended up having to return it as it made me break out very bad. Not just on my face, but my body, when I normally do not at all.

Orangey
-05.08.13
Quick Take: gradual
Quick overnight darkness, but yes it is on the orange side. I used it once, took my time applying it on my body (not face), but by the time I reached my feet I got sloppy and the next day you can tell the orangey contrast. It's okay, but I did return mine.

Not for me
-05.06.13
I usually buy the drugstore brand gradual tanner, but thought I would give it a try. It does have a great smell but it turned my skin a very dark orange very fast. I am very pale so that could be the issue but it didn't work for me.

Really Great Gradual Tanner
-05.05.13
Quick Take: gradual, long lasting, awesome, for olive/tan skin tones
I read the other reviews about the product leaving blotches but I went ahead and tried it out because it was on sale. I'm glad that I did because I really love this product. I have no doubt that skin tone probably plays into the success of using this product. I'm a medium-olive tone and I have to imagine that it would work well on anyone else with the same tone. (Maybe not as well for fair/light tones) As with any sunless tanner, you want to be really thorough when you rub it in and then wash your hands! I also applied a just a little the first few times to get a sense of how "potent" the product is. That technique has really worked for me and it's gradual enough for me to use everyday. As for the smell, I wouldn't exactly say it's "scented." It doesn't smell as much like a sunless tanner as other products I've used but there is a light tanner scent ---however, it fades quickly. Also, I really like that this product isn't shimmery! I feel like the glitter in other products gives the your secret away! Not the case with this. If you're thinking about trying it and have brown/olive tones to your skin, get this!

First review ever..
-04.29.13
Quick Take: gradual, long lasting
I went to sephora to buy St. Tropez self tanner but got this one instead because it was on sale and iI just wanted to try something out.. I really tan.. I was pale white before and it did not make me look orange or streaky.. Going back for another bottle!
The first time i did not apply it on my feet so i looked like a track runner since my feet were white; but, as soon as i applied it i had an even tan through- out.

Normally only use clarinet gel but this did more in the way of Browning than expected. I purchased due to reviews and not disappoint ed at all. Great tan lasts a week or more when built up.

Great Color - Slighty Funky Scent
-03.06.13
Quick Take: natural color, some tanner smell, no shimmer, streak free, easy to apply
Like all self tanners, this one has a slightly funky "tanner" smell after 30 minutes or so. The initial smell is a nice beachy smell. What I really like about this product is that the color it produces is fantastic and not streaky. The first day you use it the color is light. After the second day I got comments on how great my tan was and questions on where I went for vacation (ha, nowhere, lol). I will continue to stock this product as my go to tanner.

A summer MUST have!
-12.31.12
Quick Take: gradual, long lasting
This product is amazing... It glides in amazingly! Some people claim that it's too orange for some paler people, but let me tell you that being a cool undertoned pale, this product actually cancels out some of my skin discolerations! Also I've gotten complimented by many people saying how much greater I look afte going to the beach (This is like beach in a bottle)

Love this product!

This totally works- I got noticeably darker in less than a week as promised! I recommend putting it on just after you shower so that it spreads better without you having to use a whole bunch. Also, it has a little bit of a self tanner after smell which I happen to like but thought I'd mention it just in case others don't.

Great...If you love being orange
-08.16.12
Quick Take: obnoxiously orange
This item smells wonderful, but the self-tanner is way too strong for medium-fair skin colors. It turned me completely orange after two uses; I had to clean my skin with hydrogen peroxide to get the awful color off! Also, even if you let it dry, it stains your clothes! I'll stick to the perfume.

One of my 2012 Summer Favs
-06.23.12
Thank you Charlotte Ronson for creating a product that provides that awesome beach scent, gradual tanning, silky feeling going on and provides even coverage. My 14 year old niece had some mishaps with other tanning lotions and I bought her this. She and I both love it.

Wonderful!
-06.04.12
Quick Take: long lasting, amazing!!
Im not sure what the other reviews are talking about... This product worked AMAZINGLY!!!! You cant see the tan when you first put it on, but by the next day, your tan! I could not believe the amazing results after just one day! I was at Sephora, put it on one spot on my arm, (not expecting it to work.) By the next day, I looked down at my arm and was shocked! It stayed on so well when I tried to get it off so that it wouldnt be on just one spot on my arm, it WOULDNT COME OFF!!! This was bad for me because I only put it on one spot and looked diseased!! LOL! And also, the scent smelt very pleasant!! This product is amazing and I defininatly will be purchasing this soon.

Nothing gradual about it
-06.03.12
There is nothing "gradual" about this self tanner. I have fair skin and it was really orange, intense and blotchy. I might give it one more shot by mixing with lotion first.

Quick Take: orange, splotchy, unflattering, poorly scented
This product looked promising, and I'd been eyeing it the last few times I visited my local Sephora, so I decided to give it a try. I was sadly disappointed.
The product goes on nicely, but the colour appears a few hours after application. At first the colour looked nice, but as the day wore on, the product wore off in places, leaving me with an uneven, splotchy, orange-tinged tan. Very embarassing! The scent is not very pleasant either.
I will definitely be returning this product, it did NOT live up to my expectations.
