Finally - an eye primer that WORKS
-06.06.13
I've used Urban Decay's Primer Potion for years and have tried many other eye primers searching for a product that will prevent my eye shadow from creasing and fading. What's the point of carefully applying eyeshadow if it fades in a few hours? A Sephora sales associate saw me select yet another primer in my hunt for something that actually works and he told me to try this product instead. I love MUFE but didn't think it would be much different than the others. It works! Eyeshadow looks almost the same after 10 hours as when I applied it. It is a bit different consistency than other brands and requires a bit more careful application of shadow and blending but I don't mind because my color lasts and no creasing!

Poor Primer

Quick Take: color correcting
This primer was difficult to apply and made wrinkles I had on my eyelids more visible.

I will never, ever buy another brand of primer again. This is the best primer I have ever tried period. My eye make up looks as good at 530pm as it does at 745am.

The Best!

SO much better than ALL of Urban Decay's eye primers. Not at all greasy, blends seamlessly, and the applicator makes it very user friendly.

Something that finally works!
-03.04.13
I bought this a couple months ago and use it almost everyday. Love it! There is a trick to get the most product out of the packaging. Similar issue with the old UD packaging. You need to remove the silicone ring (with tweezers or needle-nose pliers)that is around the tube. After doing that, you will get much more product out. I only do this when I feel like I am running out of product.

Definitely worth the money! I expected it to be tinted since it looks that way in the image, but once applied to the lid it actually fades to clear.

I have been using this eyeshadow primer for about 2 months now, and I think it's ok. It gets the job done, but when I work for 8 hours, my makeup still looks faded. It's not a long-term product for me. I don't like the applicator, I'd rather have a squeeze bottle.

No more transference

I have drooping eyelids, so my eye makeup transfers to the undereye area constantly. I have to clean it up several times a day. Since getting Eye Prime, I no longer have that problem. The downside is there isn't much product in the tube, so I only use it on the narrow band of lid above my eyelashes.

Fine product, problematic packaging.
-01.12.13
Quick Take: crease resistant
I used this for about four months after several years of UD. It works fine as a primer; I saw little noticeable difference from UD, though I preferred the straight applicator. It kept my shadow on all day (except when I used too much or didn't get it spread out well enough over the lid before it dried), dried in a reasonable amount of time, etc. It never seemed to get as goopy as UD did after it aged awhile, but that could be because...the amount of product offered in this tube lasted much less time than any UD version I've used. I can't tell how much is actually left, but the applicator really needs work to feel like I've got enough product on it now (after I've had used it for four months, and that's not even daily use), whereas I've had tubes of UD that lasted one or two years. If this was a comparable size and price, I might keep purchasing it, but it's given me no reason not to shop around a bit.
Also, and this is a total clumsiness fluke on my part, but I was using it a couple days ago and the applicator slipped and I accidentally stuck it right in my eye; the product clung so firmly to my brand-new contact lens that after two sessions of overnight cleaning it hadn't budged and I had to throw out the lens. I had coincidentally just ordered the Too Faced primer to try, so I'm looking forward to using one without an applicator and hopefully decreasing my chances of clumsily ruining more contact lenses.

Ok but wouldn't buy again
-01.08.13
Quick Take: not worth the price
I bought this online based on how much I like the Make Up Forever line. This keeps eyeshadow in place but the product is hard to get out of the tube and is very thin when applied. It offers no coverup at all and really is just a base for shadow. I don't see that it "intensifies" shadow color. I also thought the price was very high for how little you get.

Not for oily lids
-01.06.13
Quick Take: creamy, crease resistant
This isn't a bad primer. It goes on very smooth, doesn't crease, and I liked that it matched my skin tone very well. I have oily lids and I had heard that this primer worked well to keep it at bay. While my eyeshadow lasted a lot longer than it had without primer, I was disappointed to find it had faded noticeably by the end of the day. I'm sure this primer would be great for those with drier lids, otherwise save your $$

I had high hopes for this primer. Unfortunately, it did not work at all. My shadow was literally non-existant after about four hours of wear underneath this primer. I apply it to my lid only, and after a few hours, the crease of my eye still has shadow, but my lid is bare - it's a really odd look, I don't know how that happens. I liked the texture though, it was a bit waxy, which I prefer. I'll be returning this soon.

-01.03.13
Quick Take: crease resistant
I was using Urban Decay primer for the last several years. Within the last year, the product 'stopped working' for me. Not sure if their formula changed along with their packaging. My shadow creased about 3-4 hours after application. About a month ago I was on the hunt again for another primer. I have oily skin and hooded eyes. I decided to go to Sephora to get an express service done on my eyes with this primer. I had tried their waterproof eyeliner in the past with success. Although the eye shadow application was not so good by the makeup girl, it stayed on all day. A few days later, I decided to buy the product. I've been in love ever since. I'm waiting for summer to come around so I can test it out in the warmer months.

This is a nice primer, however; not that nice for the price. There doesn't seem to be that much in this tube. I don't think it will last long.
