Quick Take: long wearing, fast-drying
I haven't actually done the ombre thing on each nail and have just been using each color normally, but they're all really great pink/red shades. Fast-drying, pretty shades, chips like any normal nail polish will, but definitely a worthy addition to my already large nail polish collection. I am thinking of getting Haze next.

I got a 60 dollar gift card for my 16th birthday to Sephora and i bought one of The New Black Ombre nail sets in Floyd. And the colours are beyond amazing!! It last 3-4 days on my hand (along with my Butter London Topcoat) and it chips but only because i cook a lot as my volunteer place and i use my hands a lot at school. But on my toes (along with my top coat) it last 8-9 days and on the 4th day i will apply more topcoat to expand the life expectancy of my pedi, which is the longest my pedi ever lasted. I can't even describe this set of nail polish, lets just say that i am in loveeee with it and i am planning to buy the teal blue set called Wave. These polishes are a bit on the expensive side, but since my mother gave me a gift set, she told me that i should try it and that i might like it. And i am so happy that i listened to her! And the bottles may be small but that is great because i can just throw one in my backpack or purse and i barely finish a big bottle of polish, so these are amazing, good quality and gorgeous colour! I will be buying more sets when my Floyd is done!! :) P.S. When i apply these polishes i use 2-3 coats, let my nails dry for an hour (20 mins is all you need, but i wait an hour just to be on the safe side), and 2 coats of Butter London P.D. Topcoat and i don't do any hard manual work for 2 hrs at least and my nails come out looking amazing!! OMG!! And all i get are my friends at school gushing over my nails! ;)

I love the shades of this nail polish set but I was so disappointed when I was in the shower the next day and it was already chipping off. In fact, I could peel the nail color right off my nail. For the amount of money it cost, it was disappointing.

Horizon - quality a bit disappointing!

I got this set in the blues (Horizon) and love the 3 darker shades, but that doesn't offset my disappointment with the quality and how quickly they chipped. I tested the set 3-4 times to ensure it wasn't an application problem. Even with proper prep, 2 coats of polish and top coat ... on day 3, it would chip. It's too bad, because I wanted to get some of the other shades. I'll keep this set, but won't be buying any more. Better off to purchase 2-3 shades of full-sized OPI in similar shades.

I got these as a gift and I'm pretty happy with them. The ombre effect is a little bit off because three of the colors are shiny and two are matte. Other than that, when applied properly they last a few days before chipping.
Since I didn't have to pay for it, I'm happy with it. Probably wouldn't have bought it myself though.

So Sad...Wanted to Love

Quick Take: great concept poor quality, a waste of $$$
I love anything ombre, so I immediately purchased 2 sets, the greenish and pinks. SO disappointed, great idea but does not deliver. 2nd day, chipping and peeling like crazy, especially the glittery shade. I use Deborah Lippmann's primer, Seche base and top coat, and with OPI I can go 2 weeks with perfect nails. Plus the paler shades seem to need 3 coats to appear opaque...I can see through my ring fingers and pinkies! I hope I can find my receipt because for the price of 2 sets, SO not worth it...I am planning to return.

I have to admit, I have a vast collection of nail polish but this set is pretty awesome getting an ombre effect on my nails. It's easy to apply and stays on well with my seche vite base and top coat. The colors look amazing!! I really enjoy this because I can use the colors separately or together. The colors are beautiful :)

Love these colors! They really do work well together and make a very cool ombre effect. I've gotten lots of compliments and am absolutely going to buy the set in pinks. The polish itself applies very smooth and dried at a good rate.

Quick Take: pretty colors, peels off easily
I have the Walrus set and the color range is so pretty. The problem is that the polish lifts off very easily, even with a base coat and top coat. My fingers got wet while wiping the snow from my car and half of the polish peeled off even though I had wool gloves on.

I bought these nail polish because I loved the design and the colors were what I wanted. I was disappointed in the size and also quality. The quality is super cheap and dull; looks ok with base and top coat but doesn't last long. I don't think I will buy anymore from this company :(

Quick Take: expensive, chips quickly
I've been craving this set ever since I first saw it this summer. I LOVE the idea of ombré nails and turquoises/teals are my favorite colors. Finally bought the kit in WAVE with my VIB holiday coupon and...meh. The colors are pretty enough, but they all feel reminiscent of shades I already own. I like the heavy bottles and the polish applies very easily and evenly, but I just wasn't as wowed as I thought. The 2nd lightest shade, especially, was disappointing. It went on very light and matte compared to the others. However, the glitter shade is GORGEOUS, and I really like the darkest and lightest shades. I've been wanting a pale color that goes on this evenly and thinly for awhile. Finally, this polish does NOT hold up. I started getting chips the next day, even after using a base and top coat. I'll hold onto them, but probably won't be buying The New Black products again. They're nice enough polishes, but not even close to being worth $22.

I love these little polishes. The pink and the black definitely get the most complements. I love how they are singles, great in the ombre, or for stripes, polka dots, and everything else.

this brand is freakin amazing. all the colors are cool by themselves and there are so many ways to combine them....i did a super fun ombre manicure with three colors that went from dark to light on each nail and i just kept staring at my nails. it was a distraction! nice formula, quick drying- the glitter/shimmer shades were dry instantly. the visual appeal of the bottles together is off the charts. do it. i want to collect them all and i think they would be awesome gifts too.

Ok first off tis nailpolish is out of this world!!! It only took 2 coats (couldve gotten away with one but im not great at doing my own polish). The SAME day I did the dishes, cleaned the house, washed my car, I didnt get any chips in the polish until day 4! This is the best quality nail polish I have EVER come across!!! I full intend on getting more sets! I recieved SO many compliments on how great it looked!!
