Did nothing.

This did nothing for me. I tried using it for my brows/upper lip and it was so, so horrible. And I was excited thinking I'd found something to use for upkeep. But...no. It was horrible, barely removed any hair - but made my face irritated due to the 'wax' stuff ripping, even though it did not remove barely any hair. Just an all together WASTE. Don't buy this.

Not worth it

This product removes some hair (I used it on my eye brows and upper lip). However, it does not get them all and does not keep the hair removed like one would think would happen with waxing. Not worth the money, buy tweezers instead.

Easy to use between wax appointments.

I have been getting my legs and underarms waxed for over 2 years, and my wax lady moved out of state. While I was trying to find someone else, I picked these up. They got the fine hair on my legs really well, but the course hair on my underarms wasn't as easy. I would get them again, and I like using them. They have a rosy scent, and you get pretty good use out of what comes in the box for the price.

better than any other wax strip on the market

I use the poetic wax strips on my arms and face, I have never tried them on coarser hair (which is better left up to professionals). My favorite thing is you can use each strip more than once- which I have never ever been able to do with any other wax strip. To do both my arms it only takes four strips. To make your waxing with these strips more successful, I'd recommend taking the time to warm them up between your hands prior to placing them on your skin, and then rubbing back and forth on the strip again once on the skin.

Quick Take: perfect for "petite" areas of hair
you need to follow directions and I would be sure to use this product on small areas of hair, such as stray hairs on the ankle or toe areas. Anything larger in circumference and it is not worth the investment

Quick Take: quick, neat, easy to use, effective
Worked great on arms and legs. The key to avoiding sticky residue seems to be to rip the strip off quickly. The body strips are too long to easily use and rip off quickly but once cut they seemed to be quite managable. Tried using them on my underarm area and that was not productive at all. Hopefully the regular Poetic Waxing will work better there.
I am anticipating this working well on the chin, facial cheek and eyebrow areas as that hair is finer. I'll update this review if I find out otherwise.

Quick Take: effective, easy to use
I have bought these twice now, after first using the regular Poetic Waxing kit (I was impressed with that system, but felt like it was too much waste). I cut the big strips in half and use them for bikini and underarm areas. Yes, it takes a few times to remove all the hair, but you can re-use the strip 2-3 times before having to start with a new one. Smaller strips are great for eyebrows and upper lip/chin. Overall, I'd say they're worth the price, and much better than other strips I've purchased in mass merchandise stores!

This was totally an impulse buy as I was poking around the store right before a trip. I used it on my legs and my bikini line.
I thought that it was much easier than some other wax at home products as the wax was integrated with the strip.

I ended up cutting some of the big strips into smaller strips to use in smaller places.
I was pleasantly surprised with the results, and I imagine that if I do it again, I will get better at the technique. I do agree with some of the reviewers that the wax got really sticky and left a ton of residue on my skin. I also got some bumps along my bikini line, but that has also happened to me when I have been waxed in the salon as well.
I have used almost all of the oil already and not all of the strips. Hopefully I can buy more of that separately.

Overall, I am pretty happy with this product and think that I will get better at using it in the future.

First Time Waxer

Okay, so I've never tried waxing before, except once a looong time ago, but it was the messy kind. Well, I have very sensitive, acne prone skin and was kinda skeptical about trying anything like this. I was pleasantly surprised. The wax strips are easy, no mess, and they work pretty good! I just wanted to use it on my fine hairs as I am not really a hairy person. It worked well on some area, while on my face I kinda got a few bumps along my hairline. I used it on my boyfriend because he was curious as to what this waxing biz was all about. He handled it like a champ as I waxed some of his chest hair :) lol I really didn't use the oil and I have yet to use the pads, but I probably will in the near future. Overall a good product from Sephora.

Quick Take: expensive, not impressive, messy, sticky
I usually see similar kits at the drugstore for about half the price so I bought the starter set, thinking it would be of a higher quality. How wrong was I ! It sadly wasn't :(
Only works on finer hair (facial area with the little strips), doesn't work with coarser hair (as in bikini area --- unless you wax the same spot at least 3 times, along with the hurt)
Also, tried it on my underarms, and the pink goo (wax? not sure lol sorry) kept sticking on my skin as well as on my hair..
I don't know, next time, I'll buy the poetic wax kit, the actual was that you melt in the plastic cup, because the poetic wax strips kit is a sticky mess waiting to happen :(

I couldn't get these to work for me. I followed the instructions, warmed them for 30 seconds, applied to my skin, smoothed the strip, and then tried to pull it off. What I was left with was sticky, pink skin! All the wax was left on my skin and it took lots of scrubbing and time to wash it off. I returned the rest to store the next day.
I've tried these kind of at-home kits before, and I always have the same results, sticky mess. But I gave these a try thinking this time would be different, but it was just as disappointing as the other brands I had tried.
Once again I learn it's not worth the hassle, just pay a professional.
