With the help of a Sephora consultant we bought this for my daughters very fair, sensitive skin. It went on nicely but as the day went on it oxidized on her skin leaving darker places over a few blemishes which didn't look good at all. We returned it for another brand.

This is my new favorite powder! I love the coverage and that it matches me perfectly. It provides a natural finish. I'd say it's sheer-medium, it'll even out skin and cover minor skin imperfections but it might not cover any major acne scarring or blemishes, but that's what concealer is for anyways. I have an oily t-zone and I really appreciate that this powder doesn't oxidize. I apply it in the morning and it stays put through out the day, I only ever need to touch up like once and that's only because my T-zone gets oily. It hasn't broke me out. Doesn't feel heavy or thick on the face. Overall a really good everyday foundation. I hope this NEVER gets discontinued!!

I loved the old Sephora brand pressed mineral powder foundation. My color was always running out so I would buy 6 at a time if they had them in stock! I was so sad when they stopped selling it and discontinued the item. So I finally tried this one. Not at all the same! The coverage isn't near as good and the texture of it is thin. Please bring back the former pressed mineral powder foundation!

This purchase stems from a makeover by a Sephora makeup artist. I loved the way my face looked that day and scooped everything she used right up. Then I thought, maybe I'm not applying it right since now my friends point out my face looks cakey, and was more natural looking with my DiorSkin Nude Foundation. Not until my 5 year old daughter said my face looked better ( in the Dior) did I think "okay, we have a problem here." I went back to the store and found the same girl. She said she liked what I had on. It dawned on me her face looks quite unnatural, very textured and noticeable, so of course she likes it! Bottom line, if you don't mind people being able to tell you've got loads of makeup on, go for this.

This was suggested to me as a replacement for Smashbox's HALO which I normally use. The Alderwood Sephora was out of my color, so the artist helping me reccommended I try this one, stating that it creates a smooth, airbrushed finished- similar to HALO. It doesn't. I found it to be dry, and very cake-like once it went on. However with that being said, had I not gone in with much higher expectations, I think I would have really liked the product for the price I paid- $30 for a foundation versus the $70 (CAD) that I normally pay. It's 100% true, you get what you pay for, and as long as you purchase this with the understanding that it is a decent foundation for a good price, I think you'll be much happier than I was.

I like this product. It is almost exactly like Mac mineralized skin finish natural powder. Except this one from sephora has better shade selection. It's looks very natural. I wear this alone. You can also wear it over your foundation. I feel it looks too cakey on top of foundation. It looks better wearing it alone. At least my experience with it. I will repurchase!

Quick Take: buildable coverage, long wearing
I really love this product. I use it over my liquid foundation as I like a satin finish, plus it gives me a better all over color than my other bronzers (I don't bother with those any more!).
The dome shape doesn't bother me at all - I use a stippling brush to apply this, which I find gives me the right amount for applying. I find a little goes a long way (it is build-able), and it lasts all day too. Bonus!
I use Bronze and I am SE Asian descent (tanned).

I can not wear my makeup without this, it has become an essential part to my makeup routine that I first fell in love with when I bought it as part of a Sephora Collection starter kit. It does not lay heavy on your face and if I want to go out and not put on all of my makeup I can just throw this on and I'm good to go. It's completely natural looking, if worn by itself you can't even tell you have any makeup on. I've been recovering from severe acne and still have some breakouts and scars, this miracle worker is great at covering up most scars and downplaying any redness or inflammation. I wear this as a base foundation/concealer underneath my bare minerals concealer and foundation and it leaves my face looking great and I can go out feeling confident and not withdrawn because of my acne and acne scarring. I was really sad when I found out it had originally been discontinued but my local Sephora helped me find this one, which is just a reformulation of the one that was discontinued.

I love love love this Microsmooth Foundation Face Powder. It goes on so smoothly and leaves my face a flawless satin finish. It blends in so easily after foundation. Coverage is very buildable too. The 8 HR Mattifying Compact Foundation makes my face look very cakey, however, this Microsmooth Foundation Face Powder does not!
