Quick Take: classic, warm, inviting
Definately in the same family as the original Light Blue but warmer and more subtle. The compliments I get when wearing this are also similar to the original in number and enthuiasm.
I am very happy I purchased this, I cant imagine not LOVING my Light Blue but I think this might be even better for evening or when I want the general aroma family without the energizing 'zing' of the original.

I LOVE the Dreaming in Portofino!! I hope they continue in the line. It is nothing like the original Light Blue, which is too strong for me. So much softer, warmer, more relaxed. It is everything the description says and would be my new signature if they continue it. Who doesn't love a touch of Summer in the Winter too?
Fresh water, soft breeze mixed with gentle floral, light powder freshness, a touch of Lavender Vanilla scent (on my skin), and a warm base of Patchouli and a slight sweetness that is left on the skin, but not cloying or offensive. Fantastic blend! Lasted all day.

The moment I sprayed this on myself, I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply. Seriously, I fell in love! This hits all of the right notes and I'm just sad that it doesnt come in an eau de parfum. Its smells so clean and fresh, but still has sexiness and depth.

Quick Take: beautiful, smooth
I am obsessed with this scent. The original light blue used to be my favorite, but I am now in love with this deeper, more complex profile. Its definitely a bit sweeter than the original, but not cloyingly so. I cannot stop smelling it. I bought the 100 ml since it is limited edition and am so happy I did. Such an addicting scent.

Quick Take: great smell
I got a sample of this and I really enjoy the scent. It is a lot better than the first one in my opinion. Like others are saying it is a lot warmer,not as crisp as the original. I recommend smelling this.

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Dreaming in Portofino is like a dream! The original Light Blue is a zesty citrus scent where Dreaming in Portofino is sweet and powdery. I’m a huge osmanthus lover so after reading the notes in this I knew I had to get it! Sweet litchi and soft fruity osmanthus with powdery iris, warm amber, and a touch of patchouli. It’s a little bit of a crisp aquatic scent and has subtle hints of pink pepper. This is my new obsession, I absolutely love this fragrance!

Smells like a vacation

I just received the large size today. I was a little disappointed in the fact that their was no 1.7 oz bottle. I opted for the large one and I am happy I did. It smells like a vacation in a bottle. Not like those other beach scents that smell like sun tan lotion. I also have worn the original light blue for many years, but must admit there is no similarity between the two.

My boyfriend bought me the big bottle. I was SO SHOCKED because of the fact it was 100$ Pretty much?! He has the male version but not in the LIGHT BLUE. the the reg. Anyways i love it , and i LOVE the male version on him. Smells so SEXY

I am a D&G Light Blue fan and this one is yummy! The scent is great somewhat fruity/fresh, but with a musky/spicy scent. It smells wonderful! You will not be disappointed! I don't find the smell similar to the original Light Blue, but they smell wonderful. Great summer fragrance!

I love this perfume. It is such a fresh summery scent that is great for all ages. My mom loves the smell of this and I see her sneaking a couple sprays when she thinks Im not watching! I havent noticed if the scent fades away fast or if it doesnt. I will need to use it a bit more to find out. My boyfriend loves to smell! So thats always a plus. I cant wait to try the original light blue! It is a little pricey but most perfumes are theses days. If you like the scent pick it up fast because I dont hink it will be around forever!

I got a sample size of this a month or two ago and loved it...but already have J'adore, Givenchy's Very Irresistible, and Chanel's Coco Madmoiselle, so I really couldn't justify purchasing another fragrance. I like the idea of having a signature scent, so I'm not sure how I came to have the other three as it is! But, I really loved this scent, and since it is limited, decided to go for it. I purchased the largest size, and it will definitely last a long time.
The scent is very feminine and light - definitely more womanly than girly. It is perfect for summer nights.

Quick Take: fresh, fruity, musky, light, floral
I have never been on board with the original light blue so this one is pretty different from the original (there's a very very tiny bit of resemblance). Dreaming in Portofino is fresh, light, fruity with some musk and a little floral. I get a hint of the litchi and at times it's aqautic to me. I wouldn't consider it a unique/groundbreaking scent but it is, to me, the better/top of the fresh fruity scents. My only gripe about this is the scent is probably gone after 3 hours. I wan't expecting it to last long since it is an EDT but it would be nice if it stayed longer. Overall it is a lovely scent, nothing that would offend anyone. If you are looking for something similar to the original I'd look else wear but this is my go to summer fragrance!

I am absolutely obsessed with the original Light Blue, so when I saw there was a limited edition release, I purchased online without smelling first. Mistake! While the original is unique and light, this fragrance is so generic smelling! I cannot think of it right now, but I know I have smelled another perfume that smells almost just like it-- maybe Miss Dior or Miss Dior Cherie?? Too floral, not enough citrus, and just not right for me. Will be returning.

My friend recommended Light Blue and it is her signature fragrance - she doesn't wear anything else. In error, I ordered the wrong version - but really like this one - Dreaming in Portofino, too! I haven't had a chance yet to wear it and compare to my friend's Light Blue to see the difference, but I like this version very much!
