Quick Take: travel-friendly, good value, layers well
Wow, what a fragrance! Scent is personal and definitely subjective. That being said, I don't think this scent is saintly or doesn't fit the dark femme fatale line. This scent is beautiful, sensual, mysterious. I could use more describing words, but it meets femme fatale criteria! The cardamom really comes through for me which gives it a spicy feel. My boyfriend loved it too. Life and death is for me. :)

What's in a name?

This pretty tame fragrance is from the 'Dark' Collection ... but it smells fairly saintly. It's a lovely floral blend that works well for anytime (particularly daytime). I only gave it 3 stars because the fragrance really doesn't match the name. It's not dark, dangerous... and not even remotely worthy of the label 'femme fatale.'

La Vie La Mort is my favorite scent. Its a distinctive sweet botanical smell. It is by far the best TokyoMilk Dark scent. I found many of the others too masculine.

When I received this as a sample thrown in one of my orders, my first thought was "Cute Packaging!"...then I smelt the sample on my wrists. Needless to say I was jumping around singing because I had just found my signature scent. So interesting, so sexy, so mysterious and overall so tempting! I ordered within the next five minutes! Love this scent and would recommend this to the girl who finds the adjectives above describe her!

I love this perfume, it smells fantastic. It lasts for the whole day, and it's unique. It's not an overpowering scent, but it's strong enough to be noticeable. I love it, my friends love it, and my boyfriend always tells me I smell pretty when I'm wearing it :) buy it (or any of the TokyoMilk perfumes) because its totally worth it.

**But just a tip for fans of these TokyoMilk scents - the brand's website sells collection sets with the hand creams, lip elixir, and 2oz bottles of the fragrance!**

Quick Take: warm, spicy, light lingering fragrance
I received a sample of this with a recent order and will be purchasing a full sized bottle soon. It's absolutely intoxicating. The only downfall is it isn't heavy enough to last all day, but I presonally think if it were heavy enough for longevity, it would be too overpowering and lost its subtlety. I still give it 5 stars.

Starts with flowers, ends with spice

This is a nice scent. Pretty, not overly sweet or musky, and doesn't change drastically with my body chemistry. It starts off with beautiful floral notes of jasmine and tuberose (two of my faves) and dries down to cardamom/spice and ylang ylang.
Unfortunately, I'm not a huge fan of spicy scents -- I wish the florals had a stronger, longer lasting presence -- so will not repurchase. But I would recommend to those who enjoy a bit of spice in their perfume.

Like Marc Jacobs for men, but lighter

Something smells wonderfully familiar about this fragrance, and that's Marc Jacobs for men. I love that heavy, fig-gy fragrance, but it's ultimately way too heavy for me to wear. I think the fragrances have cardamom in common, in a great way. La Vie La Mort is not smelling sweet and blossoming, nor can I smell the tuberose, but I do like it.

Spicy and clean

Quick Take: good value
I got a sample of this when they ran out of the sample I had chosen, and I'm SO GLAD they switched it! This perfume manages the neat trick of being both spicy AND clean-smelling. It isn't a heavy or complicated scent- it's pretty potent in the bottle but on me, the dry-down is just crisp and faintly floral, with a light spicy twist.
It reminds me of the way I smell right after a shower with really good soap- not too "perfumey", just fresh. There's the tiniest hint of spice to keep it interesting.
My favorite perfume is the much heavier, much spicier Narciso Rodriguez For Her, but I will definitely be buying a bottle of La Vie La Mort No. 90 for hot days and other times when a heavy perfume isn't appropriate.

Subtle and unique

This is my second TokyoMilk Dark fragrance (I also have Tainted love). And as much as I love Tainted love, I think I llike this one better. I've always been more of a floral fragrance girl.
On me, this is initially very jasmine heavy with a strong base of the tuberose. As it settles, the tuberose becomes more prominent and the hibiscus starts to slip through. It doesn't last as long as Tainted love but I've been getting about 4 hours of scent off one spritz so that's pretty good for a floral scent.
Ups: It's not heavy or cloyingly sweet. The tuberose and jasmine play well together and don't interfere with any other scents you may wear (dryer sheets, lotions, hair products, etc...).
Downs: Doesn't have as much staying power on the skin as I'd like but that's probably as much my body chemistry as it is the perfume.

Mysteriously sexy

I purchased this fragrance without smelling it first, the price was reasonable, and I could always return it. I was very nervous about it. But once it arrived I was hooked. I love how spicy, but floraly it was. It smells alot like jasmine but with a spicy edge. The smell is very unique and not for everyone. My boyfriend hated it, but I am very impressed. I will say you will need to reapply during the day because it doesn't last very long, but because of the price you can do that. The bottles are also very pretty! I will be trying more scents!

I love this fragrance- as it's floral based and has my favorite note of jasmine. Toward the end of the day, it blends into your skin as a soft musk with the hint of cardamom. This a very unique yet beautiful scent: a marriage of sexiness with sophistication.

Quick Take: good value, unique
this scent is amazing. my favorite fragrance ive owned so far. theres something about it that just smells so unique and amazing. it lasts a few hours on me but i dont mind applying more based on the price. the bottle is also very sturdy feeling for the price not to mention its also beautiful sitting on the counter. i will have to pick up another one when this runs out.
