Doesn't seem as effective as advertised
-11.01.12
I was going thru a bout of sensitivity for my skin, and it was also peeling. I decided to give this a try, since I thought Dr. Brandt's (my usual microdermabrasion scrub) may be too harsh. I think this is just too gentle. I'm halfway thru the tube now (good packaging on the tube so you can squeeze as much of the product out, w/o having to dip you hand in a large jar) and I don't see any difference or improvement on "leaving skin smooth". I'm still experiencing skin peeling (mild) and I also feel that there's not enough "microdermabrasion" going on (despite following the directions exactly). Wouldn't recommend to others and will not be re-purchasing.

micro exfoliating beads

Quick Take: gentle, effective, exfoliating
I had tried out a sample of La Mer Refining Facial and have been trying to find a cheaper alternative micro-scrub; I think this one is pretty close! The scrub is finely textured enough not to scratch if you accidentally get too close to your eye area, but the fine magnesium oxide crystals also have enough texture that you can feel where you might want extra buffing.
I have used a jar of Dr. Brandt's microdermabrasion exfoliating cream but since I also use other hydroxy acid and vitamin C creams I don't like to overlap multiple hydroxy acid products on the same day. I also think the exfoliation on this product is better and less sharp-edged.
The Miracle Skin Transformer has a very slight clay smell which doesn't bother me at all.
Together with the Korres wild rose vitamin C facial, these 2 products have really improved my skin that is normal-oily and prone to dullness.
