Quick Take: creases, muddy, fades
the lighter colors are somewhat more wearable as bases, but the size is smaller than color tattoos, and the staying power is less than good.
Darker colors fade with time and become muddy looking in the evening.
The only way I could make them apply well was with fingers, but then it is difficult to stick my finger in a such a small pot, without getting the shadow all over the nails as well.
I use them as a quick fix, if I'm not planning to be out for long. But again, why not EmphasEYEs or Sephora chubby eye shadow pencils then? Those are much more pigmented and stay budge-free all day.

Worst Tarte Product I've Ever Tried

Quick Take: difficult to put on smoothly, slimy and not durable if you sweat., not waterproof and not silky
Sadly,, this set is lumpy, the color payoff uneven, and I can't get it to work either with the brush or my fingers. The colors are SO pretty and I wanted it to work, but even with primer I can't get it to stay on and in place. I have to return this product and I'll be getting more Tarte BB Illuminating Cream instead.

lovely, sheer shimmer

i like the beige and the champagne pink to brighten my eyes. the staying power is enough to get me through a six hour work day. the plum and olive are sophisticated takes on those colors - subtle and not overly bright. i have fewer reasons to wear them, but they make a nice base for powdered shadows.

Quick Take: creamy, pigmented, easy, quick, versatile
I have never really given Tart much thought as a brand, they just don't catch my eye most of the time, but my obsession for cream shadows made me want to try these out and I am SO glad I did! The pigmentation of these is incredible, they glide on smoothly, blend well, and last wonderfully. I was going to keep two and give two to my sister but I couldn't part with them. Lol. I had to buy her another set!

Great cream eyeshadows

Quick Take: great additions to your makeup bag...
I have been wanting to try these, so when they went on sale I had to snatch them up. They last all day. I like to layer the shimmering golden beige with plum smoke. I also like the pink champagne. I like to put the beige in the corner of the eye to brighten them. The brush isn't anything special, but it works. I like tarte products & have the Amazonian eyeliner that goes well w/these eyeshadows.

I have oily skin and was hoping that because they were waterproof that maybe they would have staying power. The colors had disappeared by the end of the day. I did like the brush though.

Great eyeshadow set

Quick Take: easy to apply, great colors, good value
I am an eyeshadow junkie!! I have tons and tons of colors from all different brands and these are probably among my favorites. They glide on easily (love the brush that comes with the set). They don't feel "bulky" on the lids and they stay on all day. The colors are awesome too. They are a bit expensive but I got them on sale, so no complaints.

These are all nice colors you can layer to make darker or lighter. They do have a little shimmer which does not always flatter everyone. I love the creamy texture and they go on well. Great set for the price!

Great for oily lids

I have always found it difficult to find eyeshadows that work with my super oily skin, it got to the point where I just gave up and stopped trying to find any eyeshadows that would work with my oily lids and actually stay in place and not fall or crease within a half an hour. I just use my urban decay primer and a little of this product goes a long way so don't get discouraged if you think the pot sizes are small. I feel as though the brush isn't as bad as others are making it out to be. I love the pink and beige color the moist because they are more neutral but the purple and green set so well I was actually surprised at how pretty they were once I tried them out. Lastly, they certainly are waterproof but not hard to remove with some face wash! I would say try this product out and if you don't like it just return it!

Quick Take: portable, good value
I had this shadows on my shopping list for quite some time and when I saw them on sale I bought them immediately. The first time using these was interesting. It took about 10 minutes to open the teeney tiny pots. When I finally opened them I was pleased. I have oily lids and these did not crease on me. The champagne color is beautiful I'm in love with the purple. I'm not a huge fan of the gold (too shimmery) and i have yet to try the green. As for the brush... Meh... It's far too big for the little pots, but I didn't buy these shadows for the brush so I'm happy with my purchase!

I really wanted to love these. The colors looked beautiful in the jars and the idea of a waterproof, silky cream shadow sounds great. But . . . on me, it just looks flaky and not at all smooth. There are places where the color doesn't show up and it's just not flattering. Also, after having it on for an hour or so, my eyes started burning a bit so I'm just not thrilled. They're going back.

Nice shadow, worthless brush

The cream shadows are really quite nice! The have good color payoff and don't crease on me all day. My only problem is that the opening in the glass jar is so small. I have small/average size hand and its hard for me to get product out with my fingers. The included brush isn't much help either. It's too big to get in the pot, doesn't feel great on the skin, and doesn't distribute product well at all.

Quick Take: good value
I use the lightest champagne color as a primer and it can be a little pearly and over the top if i apply too much, but i mix this with my LM eyeshadow basics (primer) in wheat, and im telling you my eyeshadow will just not move. The purple is the most amazing purple eyeshadow I have used. its amazing I actually achieve a red carpet eyeshadow look with the purple one. The pink is a little too pearly for my taste but I still use it. I cannot believe the staying power on these babies!

Quick Take: good value
Great value of a set. These creme shadows hold up well even on the oiliest eyelids in the middle of a humid summer in Southeastern Asia (must use a primer). The best part of the shadows is that they can truly be layered and blended without caking up on itself or clumping into flakes that make my eyes crepey looking and gets into my contacts! Only other creme eyeshadows that work (but aren't the same everyday color quality...too glittery, too creme colored) are Bobbi Brown and Buxom.
