I love the Embossed Traincase - Black Faux Croc. It is not only beautiful, it is sturdy. The compartments are wonderful because they can be adjusted to my preference. I love the lock feature because I have two little girls who love going into my things. I also like to grab this when I travel because my make-up is in one place and organized. Before ordering, I was up to four separate make-up bags and my make up would get knocked around and sometimes broken. This case allowed me to put everything together in a safe place. I shopped around a bit before I ordered this item and found it to be one of the more beautiful and well made products for this price-rance. The size was just right for the essentials and it overall helped me to be more efficient when retrieving specific make up items, especially the slim and little pieces. My tip to users is to be gentle when lifting and closing the compartment layers. Overall I think it is a great buy. For me a it costed a bit more than I anticipated but after shopping around, I found that it was worth the extra.

A very sturdy case! The adjustable dividers slide out with ease. I wish it was a little bit deeper, which would create better access to the larger items located at the bottom of the case.

Quick Take: amazing
This is by far hands down the best way to organize your make up. I'm no make up artist just someone who likes to keep their makeup organize and this saves me so much time because I don't have to spend forever looking for everything and you can move the partitions anywhere you want them. If your thinking about it just do it' you will seriously love it.

I was skeptical about purchasing this train case because of the price... But after searching and seeing other brands up close the quality of the cases in stores is just not that great for only being a few dollars cheaper.. I'm so impressed with the quality of this one and what I love most is that I can adjust the sections to whatever size is needed for my personal preference. Can't say enough about this. You will not regret this purchase. Love that you can lock this with a key also.

Quick Take: durable
I got tired of my make-up always breaking and this train case was the answer to my prayers. If you have a lot of make up this case allows you to view all of your make-up and forgotten eye shadows/lipglosses are a thing of the past. Sturdy, fashionable and compartment dividers are re-sizeable.

Great makeup train case!!!

This is a great makeup train case for those of us who like to keep things organized in a sleek stylish case. Originally I purchased the Houndstooth pattern train case but I did not like the "felt like" material. Given the price, I was concerned that in time the Houndstooth may not hold up to the daily wear and tear as well as the Faux Croc material. For that reason only I exchanged the houndstooth for the Faux Croc but both cases are equally spacious. The dividers are removable so you can adjust the compartments to fit your makeup accordingly. Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I highly recommend this train case.

Makeup Storage Love

Quick Take: sturdy, classy, well-built, gorgeous
I picked this up a bit ago with a $20 VIB gift card because I needed a makeup storage train case with some protective "oomph" while still looking classy. I have to say with the quality and design of the black croc train case, I'd pay full for this even without the VIB bonus for multiple reasons.
I do warn, some folks may not be up to spending $100+ for a travel storage unit for their makeup. That's fine, you might be more inclined for makeup bags, soft cases, a regular caboodle, or even an arts and crafts tackle box of some sort to store your makeup based on your personal budget and needs. Makeup storage is a highly personal so whatever works with your needs will work best for you with a little research and planning if you plan to "invest" in an expensive heavy duty piece to last you years or a lesser expensive piece that just fits your "right now" need.
For my needs, I was looking a heavy duty makeup train case that not only protected my gear when I road tripped but also gave me some adjustable options for shelf fit inside and felt sturdy enough to withstand a good tumble but was classy enough that laying around the house it wasn't going to be an eyesore. I didn't NEED a piece to store ALL my makeup as I have quite a bit and I like most of my usable makeup on display for easy grabbing BUT I needed something for just some basic storage for most of my important pieces and was sturdy enough to warrant travel. If you plan on this holding EVERYTHING under the sun, you may have to recheck the size dimensions and consider the size of your stash or else you may be disappointed that it isn't like a "bag of holding" with unlimited space for your gear.
This piece fit my original requirements to a T. The insides are lined with a black soft foam with adjustable niches to move shelves so your makeup isn't going to be sliding around too much if snugly fitted in and the foam will offer a bit of shock absorption if you have an accident and drop this sucker. This beast is STURDY. It does not feel as fragile as the cardboard-esque or plastic caboodles/train cases you find at your local walmart or target. Every grommit, buckle, latch, etc feels well put together like a real piece built for travel and storage. It opens up from the center out with the shelves cascading back on the left and right side. I can see where my things are with some area of the 2nd shelf tier tucked under the top tier and the base bottom in turn only slightly blocked in view by the 2nd tier. This was a complaint by some users but I hardly found it hindered my use. As another alternative, the smaller even more travel friendly size 9.75x6.25x6" in the Houndstooth collection's shelf tiers opens out to the side (see its respective picture elsewhere on the Sephora site if still available) which make it easier to see your stored stuff if that's an important enough of a feature to be a deal breaker but you'll be sacrificing size in that model for better visibility.
The croc train case does come with a removable strap but did not care for using it and really, it's a bonus rather than a necessity. I usually keep this case sitting most of the time or I'd carry it by the handle, it's not something I want to have bouncing off my hip as I'm running around like a tote bag or crossbody purse, ya know? It also comes with keys and is lockable which is very nice little piece of mind if you want to keep kids or nosy folks out of your goods. I think for most makeup artists on the go having a good lock is a necessity as well to prevent sticky fingers from making off a piece of your stash.
Would I recommend this piece? Well, depends on your needs and budget. If you want a high quality STURDY piece for travel and storage, this is a fine recommendation within a 100-120 price range comparatively to other professional models in this price bracket. If you feel like you would want more for spending over 80 bucks or are looking for a larger amount of storage than the size it has listed then you may want to reconsider other storage options.

I have been needing an organized storage system for all of my make up. I finally broke down and bought this, and I love it!! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is it could a little bit bigger. But otherwise it's great.

I really needed a train case to hold all of my make up before I went back to school. I really love how sturdy it is and how it locks, however for the price I paid I wish it was bigger. I have a lot of make up and I definitely wont fit it all in there. It's a really nice case though and very useful for traveling. I really wanna give it 5 stars but for my preference it's too small.

Quick Take: good space
I searched high and low for a train case to take to college. I am a little bit of a makeup hoarder, so everything was too small. I finally settled on this traincase from Sephora.
It's a sturdy train case, I'll admit, but I was a little bit disappointed to find that the moveable trays are difficult to move. They tend to want to pull to one side or the other when you lift them out. I always have to be very careful to gingerly tug on the sides. The dividers are also very difficult to move. You have to get a little bit rough with them to move them where they need to go for your individual needs.
That being said, the locks are metal, and the inside is completely padded with foam which I really like. I think it's overpriced for the quality, which isn't just amazing. It is GOOD not awesome, and for $100+ it should be absolutely fabulous.

I got it as a birthday gift. It is really stylish. The inside dividors are all movable, which makes it really handy. The quality is pretty good although the packing stuff makes it a little bit dirty when it arrives.

I love this case! I got it for my birthday. My hubby saw that i was using my makeup out of three separate makeup bags and saw how i needed one of these; especially when he saw how when we travel i had three separate makeupbags taking up all the counterspace in the bathroom of our hotel. He asked me what was the best kind that was affordable and i began to do my research. Having the iption of returning it if i wasn't satisfied made this case even more desirable. When i got it on my birthday( it shipped much sioner than my birthday but hubby hid it) i was very happy with the quality of this train case. Aside from the styrofoam stuck to the case that took nailpolish remover to remove it (used cotton pad and nail polish remover being careful only to only wipe on the faux croc). I love the space in it and the dividers are very easy to remove and replace.

I hesitated to purchase this at first when I saw it as an editor's pick with no feedback available but fell in love with it and LOVE it! It is bigger than I had expected so holds all of my cosmetics and accessories. The compartments can be adjusted to specifically fit your needs. The case is beautiful, sturdy construction and is very easy to open and close. I appreciate the lock and key, too. If you travel a lot or just need a beautiful case to store all your stuff, do not wait. I love Sephora and this is my favorite purchase of the year so far!
