SEPHORA COLLECTION Pro Fan Brush #65

What it is:A fan-shaped brush used to expertly finish and perfect makeup. What it does:Add the finishing touches to your look with this brush that dusts, wipes, and redistributes powders along your features. The flat fan shape allows for even and soft definition, making it an ideal tool for gently sweeping bronzing powder, illuminator, or even tinted moisturizer on the face. A must-have for clean-up, this brush can also be used to fan away excess product like eye makeup fallout, without leaving traces in its wake.

I must have gotten a lemon, a curly lemon
-05.21.13
Quick Take: curly
I had to return this brush. As a matter of practice I wash makeup brushes when I get them. The hairs on this brush curled A LOT. After gently washing I tried to shape it and even put it back in the shaped case that it comes in; but it was still a fluffy mess. I exchanged the brush for the similarly priced Laura Mercier fan brush and am satisfied.

Love the brush
-05.14.13
Quick Take: natural hair, fan brush
I bought 2 of these brushes because I have one at home, and another for travel. This is great for shadow or mascara fallout, or for a light face power, and for powdering under the eyes. Its a great multi-purpose brush that gets into the hard to reach places like the inner corners of the eye.

Great brush! It was recommended to me by a Sephora employee and I love it! Works well with bronzer for a natural look. Hope in the future this brush is offered in a synthetic form

Brush isn't for me
-04.27.13
Quick Take: natural hair
It's a great brush, it's just too big to fit into the lids of my bare minerals products. It's not the brushes fault, I should have thought that one through! I have several sephora brushes, and I love them. The quality is really good, so if that's your hesitation, go for it!

High-quality brush
-04.25.13
Quick Take: synthetic hair
I am very pleased with this purchase. I was using a kabuki brush to apply finishing powder over my foundation, but was still getting cakey, no matter how lightly I applied! Switching to this fan brush is perfect. It applies enough powder to keep me from getting shiny (oily skin, what can I say), but not so much that I get cakey. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars (I really wish I could do 4.5) is that it is more difficult to apply loose powder with this than with a kabuki brush. I'm sure a pressed powder would be easier.

Perfect for a Soft Finish!
-04.24.13
I use this #65 brush and my sephora #59 (pro precision powder) brush for contouring. I first use the 59 to put on bronzer and blush & then blend/buff with light sweeps with the 65. I love that my 59 places all the powders in all the right places but when I try to buff, the color comes out too strong and unnatural.
For a more natural and softer look, I use the 65 to just fan it out evenly so that it looks better with a softer finish.
I absolutely love this brush. I would've never thought to spend this much on a fan brush but it really helps aid on the softness if that is the look you're looking for.
I love that it applies powders softly so I use it for times when I need a softer buff out.
It truly does distribute the powder perfectly on my cheeks so that I get even better contouring with it along with my 59 brush.
I just can't do without it even when I try to talk myself out of it!
Love the quality and the application. Try it! It won't disappoint ! Plus, the goat hairs are super soft so no adverse reactions for those with baby sensitive skin like yours truly.

Heavenly
-04.23.13
Quick Take: angled
There are so many uses for fan brushes--applying highlight, applying a light sweep of blush, wiping away eyeshadow fallout, applying finishing powder, etc. This is a must have brush for me. My most favorite use for it is to take a bit of LM Brightening Powder on the fan brush and set my undereye concealer with it.

Not that great
-04.16.13
I guess This brush would work well if you never wash it. After gently washing it and shaping it back it dried and the bristles went everywhere.

Perfect brush to apply a light touch of powder.
-04.15.13
Quick Take: a must have for any finishing powder.
I love this brush. I use it to lay a light finish of Laura M's finishing powder over my face after foundation. I wait a few minutes after applying liquid foundation by finishing up on my eyeshadow or getting out other products on the counter, and then apply my powder with the brush. After I wipe it off on a tissue and blow out any residue,I put it's plastic cover back on, it keeps the brush in shape.

Quick Take: soft, doesn't shed, great for eyeshadow fallout, curls after washing
It's a great brush for fallout, it's soft, doesn't shed. BUT once you wash it, it curls! It's terrible, especially because it's such a nice brush prior to washing.

A Must Have Tool!
-12.29.12
I absolutely love this brush. Perfect for finishing your look as it removes anything that dropped where is shouldn't have and helps even out powder, etc that may have not gotten evenly distributed.

Not quite right
-12.18.12
I've been wanting a fan brush to help sweep away eye makeup that falls during application, and I thought this one would work, but it's too large (I feel like). It does do what I want it to do, but only after several swipes and at various odd angles. Plus the brush is not soft... but I'm guessing, it might not do its job if it were a soft brush.

Works great.
-10.10.12
The brush is soft and evenly distributes any highlight I want to my upper cheek bones. It is also a great tool to sweep away any excess makeup on my face. The only thing I didn't really like about it was that the fan bristles started to spread out too much but other than that it still works great!

Versatile brush
-09.17.12
This brush is very versatile. It's great for highlighter as well as blush. Use the flat side to deposit color where you want it and contour with the thin edge. It puts color exactly where you want it.

I purchased this to use for applying face powder (Laura Mercier's Invisible Loose Setting Powder) on the recommendation of a Sephora salesperson. It provides for a nice sweep of powder that's not too targeted but not too broad either...and the softness feels great while also helping to distribute the mica particles evenly. I find this helps create a more natural look than my previous brush which tended to place too much powder in one place. At the checkout counter, the girl working the register told me she uses this herself and loves it. Two happy customers....

OK - a little stiff
-08.19.12
I bought this brush to obtain a sheer veil of blush. It's just OK. A little stiff feeling. I returned it and bought a more traditional blush brush.
