So dissappointed! made my hair soooo DRY!
-03.01.13
My hair is wavy, on the dry side and is regularly colored. This shampoo and the conditioner were just horibble on my hair. I read glowing reviews but relaized many women review how the hair looks after blowing it out. Thats a big NO NO! I can use a $5 shampoo and have it look great after applying a ton of product and blowing it out. I washed it and let it dry naturally, it was super frizzy and felt as if it had been coated. I returned the products, thx sephora! And bought bumble super rich shampoo and conidtioner, works well and actually mosturizes. We all have different hair texture and strands so what works for me may not work for you is the bottom line. Buy it from Sephora, try it and if it doesnt work go back to the drawering board so to speak. ;)

Phytonectar Ultra Nourishing Shampoo
-01.09.13
I love this shampoo. It really cleans up my hair and scalp, while being very mild and gentle. My hair is always shiny and I constantly get compliments on how well I take care of my hair.
For those who like lather, try this:
I find that, to get a good lather, I need to take a small amount (dime size) and work it through my hair, and do a quick 'rinse' (5 seconds). I then use a larger amount (quarter size - I have long hair) and shampoo as I would normally, and it lathers like crazy!

excellent for course hair
-11.29.12
Quick Take: hydrating, excellent for course hair
I have very coarse, short hair. Until I found this shampoo, nothing left it soft. I never would have thought to buy a shampoo marketed to dry and over-processed hair (my hair tends to the slightly oily side and is not colored), but I got a sample and was blown away. It leaves my hair so soft that I don't even need conditioner most of the time. I am on my third bottle and will never look to another shampoo again.
My husband who has medium-textured hair also loves it because it doesn't irritate his sensitive scalp.
It also smells wonderful--like orange blossoms.

Great for dry hair

I love this shampoo. I've used it for years because it really makes my dry, color-treated hair healthy looking. It also smells like orange blossoms which is lovely.

So, Gentle, So Hydrating, So Wonderful!
-07.30.12
Quick Take: hydrating
This is not your typical, run-of-the-mill shampoo... this is a deeply hydrating shampoo for hair that's damaged, weakened by processing and in need of TLC. My hair happens to be shoulder-length, curly, fine and a little thin.
Don't expect this shampoo to lather as it doesn't have a lot of detergenty-type ingredients. I use it along with Phytokeratine Conditioner and get excellent results. My hair feels silky smooth, easy to detangle and full of body.

Lathers well. You have to make sure your hair is rinsed well before applying. My hair is dry and thick and I had instant results. The smell is pleasant too.

Best Shampoo
-01.07.12
Quick Take: smoothing, hydrating, rich, improving the texture and shine of my hair
Previous reviews have complained about the lack of lathering and the fragrance of Phytonector. It is a little less lathering, and hasn't got the best shampoo fragrance from this line, but I really want my hair to look and be healthy... my scalp too. Nothing has improved the health and look of my 52 year old, thinning, colour treated hair like this shampoo. No other shampoo can touch it. And anyways, it does lather up, and the fragrance is not all that bad... it's just not incredible like some of the other phyto products. I'll always use phyto products now that I've discovered them, and this will always be my first pick for shampoo. And, thanks to the other reviewer for pointing out to use this only once or twice a week! Didn't know that.

love the smell
-01.02.12
Quick Take: hydrating
I really like this mild shampoo. The smell is great - like orange blossoms and it cleans the prodcut out of my hair without drying it out. I guess my only complaint is that you need to use a lot of the shampoo. I have very long thick hair so I'm used to using a lot of shampoo but this stuff is expensive. Nevertheless I am on my 2nd bottle and will likely buy more.

my hair likes it, I don't
-12.16.11
Quick Take: smoothing, hydrating
My hair does well with this shampoo. I don't care for it's inability to lather. The smell leaves a lot to be desired too. I don't think I'd buy it again, even though my curly hair stays hydrated and frizz free with it. I'd like to at least enjoy the smell for the cost.

Moisturizing shampoo
-11.07.11
Quick Take: hydrating
I've been looking for a moisturizing/hydrating shampoo as I have thick hair that I straighten almost every day. So far, this shampoo seems to be helping, but you need to pair it with a moisturizing conditioner.

PhytoNectar..
-10.25.11
Quick Take: smoothing, hydrating, nourishing, protective
I have a lot of hair (as opposed to think strands) which can be coarse and difficult to manage. Almost every shampoo I've used works nice to great once, and downhill from there till I'm on my last usage and my hair is completely greasy and limp in spots and dry in others, while also frizzy! ALL AT ONCE, immediately after blow-drying. Talk about a nightmare.
All this changed for me when I found Phyto. The man who convinced me to buy it when I was 16 pointed out something that still hasn't changed - this line is one of the few, if not the only, hair care systems that does NOT have water as its first ingredient. This speaks to both its level of potency as well as the fact that, even at more than $20 a bottle, you don't have to USE as much product at each wash. You need to make sure your hair is quite wet, and then really rub the shampoo into the hair; do not worry much if it doesn't always foam - this is normal, and it is getting your hair clean and healthy and nourished! Unlike other pricey hair products (a la Kerastase), these shampoos are not meant for "cosmetic" affect alone - they are meant to restore hair's vitality and luster, and the look and feel of soft, manageable hair is more a consequence here than the only end-point.
Finally, this shampoo in particular is great for thick/coarse, frizzy, color-treated, and ethnic hair. Enjoy!

Instant results
-09.07.11
Quick Take: smoothing, hydrating, rich, pleasant fragrance
My hair is chemically-treated, and needs a little something extra to achieve silky smoothness. This shampoo definitely does the trick. I received a small sample-sized bottle, and after a single use, I noticed dramatic results. The only disadvantage I would warn folks about, however, is that my curls didn't seem to like this formula; I hot-roll my hair (virtually) every day, and my curls were significantly less-pronounced and much shorter-lived after using this product. For people with straight hair who are looking for silky texture and shine, though, this stuff is awesome.

Proper use
-08.29.11
Quick Take: hydrating
I really wish Sephora gave you proper instructions with the Phyto line. I absolutely love phytonectar, however, you are not supposed to use it every time you shampoo. It should be used 1-2 times a week and interchanged with another hydrating shampoo (I recommend phytojoba). Even with the unclear instructions, I still love this product.

I have never had a problem with dry hair until undergoing chemo treatments, since then I’ve battled extremely dry hair. This product is amazing; I noticed a difference in the appearance and the feel of my hair after one use. And I love the smell.

Great for Psorasis!
-05.17.11
Quick Take: hydrating, calming, smells yummy
I've had issues with scalp psorasis (forgive the spelling) ever since moving to Los Angeles - the dry climate does not bode well, and stress exacerbates it even more. This is the first non-prescription shampoo i've tried in forever and it was fantastic. They don't advertise it as a fix for psorasis, and while my issues are not cured, they are MUCH more manageable. I'm already on my second bottle and I don't forsee using anything else anytime soon!

Great shampoo, only a small amount is needed and I have medium-length hair. When I combine this product with the Phyto conditioning mask and Phyto 9 (the 3 parts for the dry hair regimine) my hair comes out really soft and it feels very healthy.

Hated It
-05.12.11
I really didn't like anything about this product. It doesn't lather at all, and with thick hair, you really need lather to move the shampoo throughout the hair. I figured out I could get lather if I used a whole palmfull. That made this last about 20 shampooings. I was so glad to run out of it and go back to my usual shampoo.

-04.12.11
Quick Take: smoothing, hydrating
I'm a shampoo junkie and my shower is stacked with names like Joico, Fekkai, Redken, TIGI, and others... I received this as a sample but am buying the whole bottle now! My hair normally gets frizzy and pseudo-curly when I let it air dry, but nor with this shampoo! Every strand feels so soft and smooth, my hair looks so shiny. I've got gorgeous volume. A plus? I don't have that putrid, fake smell like some shampoos give you. Instead, it's a subtle hint of natural, but I don't smell like a tree or grass like some natural-smelling shampoos tend to do.
Buy it or try it, I think this one is a winner.
