This is my absolute favorite masque, it makes my skin very clean and lightens little by little the acne scars. The best part of this masque is while it cleans the skin perfectly, it doesn't strip it off it's essential oils or makes my skin dry.

I was looking for something to soak up all the extra oil on my face now that I am pregnant...and something without all the harsh acne treatment chemicals. I have really been impressed with this mask and think it is the one product I've tried (of many!) that has helped to combat pregnancy breakouts. Would recommend!

This mask makes your skin ultra smooth and your face feels really clean afterward. But unfortunately I did not see any difference in regard to acne. I've been using this several times a week for the last month or so. Normally when I use a mask it stops more acne from showing up if used often enough, but doesn't really get rid of the current acne. This didn't stop more acne from showing up, and with the price it really doesn't seem worth it. I will either try something new or buy something I have used before that worked relatively well.

life saver for cystic acne

Quick Take: therapeutic, clinical, effective
okay. so the day I went into sephora and found this gem, I was pretty heartbroken.
I'm 25 and have been dealing with moderate to severe cystic acne since I was 14. I've been to loads of dermotologists and for the last couple years my skin has been tolerable for the most part thanks in most part to birth control to level out hormones. Anyways, I've still been getting random huge cystic break outs. it seems by the time one patch is healing up I have another one coming up. so frustrating.
That morning I'd went to a new dermotologist where he prescribed 6 medications that came to around $500. the meds he wanted to put me back on, retin-A, etc. dry out my skin SEVERELY and at my age I'm worried with dried out skin I'm going to have a problem with premature aging far too early.
When I went in I was looking for a cleanser with benzoyl peroxide since that's what he recommended, but I was planning on not filling the RX's except for maybe the antibiotic to see if it'd help. I asked a sephora lady if they had any cleansers with that ingredient and she looked through everything and told me clean and clear had one at target but everything they had in stock was salysilic acid. she explained all the ingredients, benefits, cons to me so clearly and recommended I try this sulfur masque as a spot treatment at night to dry out cysts and give my skin a fighting chance since my skin probably wasn't immune to sulfur since it's such a different ingredient than one usually finds. THIS DID MIRACLES. my skin is the clearest it's been in ages, my skin feels healthy, I've continued using my lancome serum, day cream and night cream for moisture and to help with scarring. I feel hopeful my skin will actually be clear and feel healthy. which my dermo didn't seem to believe was possible. this is rather a long review, but if you have skin like mine, now you know if it may be a good fit. cheers and good health!

I tried this to help clear up some blemishes and I don't think it helped very much. I didn't see a huge improvement in my skin after using this product. I have used other items in this line and can't really say that I am very impressed with them.

Quick Take: irritating, burning, drying
I am quite sure they reformulated this, when they really shouldn't have. I used to use this and LOVED it, it did such a great job and didn't even irritate my dry sensitive skin. I got a new sample recently and put it on my face, nearly burned it off! My eyes started tearing, my nose was running, I had to wash it off immediately because it felt so bad! I guess you can use it as a spot treatment but really, that's ridiculous. Way to ruin a perfectly good formula.

Quick Take: drying, effective
My skin is oily T zone, acne prone, sensitive, but part of my face is also normal. Using this as a mask, I like how it makes my skin feel but it dries the normal parts of my face out. Used as a spot treatment, it helps reduce the size of pimples but is not a miracle worker. A little goes a long way so this jar will last a while! Overall, I like it and would recommend it.

Quick Take: leaves me clean, amazing, prevents breakouts
I had been using a product that kept breaking me out and once I found what it was I in full skin repair mode. This has saved my skin so much! The first time I used this I could tell a difference instantly! Than I got a nasty pimple, I put this on as a spot treatment over night and it went from being big and full of gross stuff to already going away and faded. I have dry skin and this didn't dry me out but make sure to have a good moisturizer and all will be great. I paired this with the PTR Max Complex Pads which are also amazing!

Quick Take: amazing, long lasting, really combats acne, draws out the oil
I'm 25 and struggle with deep, painful acne on my chin and around my mouth and nose and this stuff is amazing. I feel like it draws out all the oil and really helps my acne a lot. I love sulfur products and feel like the sulfur really helps my acne compared to other acne treatments. Like other sulfur products, you can definitely smell the sulfur but I guess that can't be helped really. LOVE this stuff, will be buying it again once I run out even though this stuff will last a long time!

I have sensitive skin, which recently started breakingout a LOT due to stress, hormones, whatever. This product is amazing, use a spot treat overnight for big uglies and helps draw out the junk as a mask. I have not had any problems with hthis, and I htink its a great product for acne prone skin. I use it alternating with retinol and it makes such a difference in signifiantly less, since I started using retinol (first RetinA now I used PTR's retinol serum..

I bought this mask to replace the above brand I used for years and its results were equal due to the same active ingredient 10% sulfur. excellent results. banishes black heads oil and shine. highly recommend! keeps pores small and clear

If you are looking for something to really kill the acne bacteria and deep clean your pores. This is the product for you. I could see results after the 1st use. My pores are now smaller and my acne is disappearing. It does tingle when you have it on.

Refreshing but causes some dryness!

This was the first time I tried this particular mask. I wanted something to help my skin look fresh and clean. I was having some unwanted break outs and was looking for help in this area as well. I enjoy the mask and feel it makes my face feel very refreshed. It has caused me to have a little bit of dry skin (which is common for me!) I leave on the mask for only about 10 minutes and only use the mask about twice a week. Overall I think the mask is worth the money.

Quick Take: calming deep cleaning not irritating
Great product. It did a great job of calming my skin and clearing up a few breakouts. It really did work well. Most products irritate my skin--it's very sensitive, but this product did not. I would highly recommend it. Also, a little goes a very long way so the jar should last a long time!
