Green tan!
-05.16.13
Quick Take: long lasting
Comes out green and ends up a faded dark green tint. The mouse is perfect, but this seems a huge mistake

Don't waste your money
-05.16.13
Quick Take: long lasting
I love this brand, however this lotion comes out a dark green color and dried that color on my skin. I tried different times and a few other bottles but all were same. The brand of this product, which I have used for the past 10 years was great up until this color of lotion. Had to return it each time.

Not worth it even if it were $10.00
-05.09.13
Quick Take: weak and expensive, bad self tanner, no color after color guide rinsed off
I have tried nearly every self tanner on the market. The white colored St Tropez self tanner gives a decent color, but fades within less than 24 hours, so I thought that the deep tanner would be a great alternative. I was wrong. Even with a mitt, it is difficult to apply, and when set overnight and the color guide rinsed off the next morning, there is little to no color left on the body the next day. It is absolutely no good. On top of that, it is over $40.00. DO NOT waste your time or money on this product. If you want a good self tanner stick with the neutragena spray or Fake Bake lotions

Nice color, but....
-04.25.13
I accidentally picked up the lotion instead of the mousse, so I thought I would go ahead and give it a try instead of returning it. It gives a gorgeous color, but you look like Hulk until you rinse it off. It is a must that you put this on at night and rinse it off when you wake up. My main problem with this product is after you wash it off, there are some areas that still have a green tint. It's not horribly noticeable, but for the money I would expect it not to do this.

Holy Green Tan!
-04.19.13
I had high hopes for this as I love the normal version of St. Tropez. The original formula gave me a great olive toned tan to my otherwise pasty awful white skin but I wanted to see if the dark version would make me...well...darker lol. And the answer is no it just turned me green lol. When applying this stuff it does not go on very smooth for some reason and even when washed off in the morning I literally looked like I was bruised everywhere I put the tanner. It was that color when a bruise is just starting to heal if you know what I mean?
Def. disappointed so I will be sticking to the original formula

Hated it - GREEN
-04.16.13
I was a strange shade of tan with a greenish tint. I don't know why it won Allure's award for best self tanner 2012. It tanned my palms too quickly and was hard to scrub off. This looks unnatural - definitely won't be buying it again.

Love it!
-03.31.13
Quick Take: long lasting
I have tried so many different self tanners throughout the years and this one is the best! There is no scent and if I apply it sparingly at night, that green hue isn't even there in the morning to wash off. Since it is a lotion, I don't have to worry about it getting patchy like the mousse formula when i exfoliate, as it really sinks into my skin. This product gives me the deeper tan that I was looking for and it lasts a while!

not that good
-03.28.13
Quick Take: green
This comes out green, is not as easy to blend in, and even when washed off, still leaves too much green behind. I get why they made it green, to negate any orange tint, but this is just excessive and hard to apply. The one pro is the fact that it does not smell. Hardly any smell develops. The color pay off wasn't as deep and dark as the original. You get the best even application from the original lotion. I will be sticking to the original, or my other self tanners.

The lotion is a green color that does not go away until you shower, I would not recommed using this lotion any other time then before bed. The self tanner smellw as minimal.
I did not develop a deep dark tan even after the green was washed off.
I ended up returning the lotion to try the St. Tropez Mousse, which I like much better.

Green
-03.25.13
Quick Take: too green!
This product comes out green on your skin. After washing it off the next day, I didn't notice that my skin color had changed at all. I ended up exchanging it for the original St. Tropez lotion, which works fantastic.

made me green :)
-03.11.13
Quick Take: green
I'm in love with the original formula ( which is hands down the best self tanner) but this one made me olive green. I thought it was just the initial reaction to the lotion but the next day after washing off the residue I still had an olive tint to me. I was hoping the product would be like the original formula but darker.

People aren't kidding about the green...
-02.21.13
Quick Take: green
This product turns your skin legit GREEN. I only did a test patch on my leg because the green made me nervous, but I did not feel like the color that developed was very dark. I ended up returning the product. I have used the med/dark gradual lotion and it seemed like the results were not even as dark as using the gradual product once. I'd recommend that one which is cheaper and you can avoid the stress of turning yourself the pre-bronze green.

Still torn about this product
-01.27.13
I was thrilled when I first read about this product in Allure. A non-orangey self tanner? I was sold! The problem is, I don't think it sticks to my skin most of the time. The other bummer is that it looks green when you apply it, so you can't put it on and go anywhere in public.

GREAT color! But beware ...
-01.24.13
Quick Take: beautiful natural color payoff, non-orange, streak free!
This is by far the BEST COLOR result I've ever achieved from a self-tanner! YES - you will turn Hulk green but that's only temporary. Best advice is to apply at bedtime and wash off in the morning - it does come off and nobody is the wiser to your Wicked green skin. The only reason for this lower-star rating is the formula - - the lotion was really cumbersome for me. The application is not as effortless as the mousse formula in this same brand. I watched their online tutorial and there's a lot more to it than I knew when I bought this - - like you need to buff it into your skin with their buffing mit after it's dried. All in all, I have definitely found the brand to use .. I just prefer the mousse formula.

Works well
-01.10.13
would have been five stars but the green colour at application is pretty ridiculous. However, after I wash it off the tan is beautiful and gives me the effect after 2-3 regular st tropez self tanner lotion. Saves me time and hopefully money.

not enough color
-01.03.13
the little amount of color I got from this product just isn't worth covering myself with green goo until I look like a witch! The scent is really nice and not at all self-tanner smelling, but the regular lotion works much better on me.

the green works!
-11.20.12
Quick Take: long lasting, rich color, time-consuming, effective
I read the reviews about this self-tanner beforehand so I already knew that the lotion would be green. What I didnt expect was how hard it was to apply! It did take me a lot longer to apply it all over compared to my other self-tanners. But this worked SO MUCH better than any of my other tanners by far. I did apply it after i showered and slept with the green on. When I woke up I showered to get the green off and I found myself still a little green, but thought it would disappear eventually. It didn't so I took another shower and the color came out SO BEAUTIFULLY. I am very satisfied! It would have been 5 stars if only they could make it last a little bit longer and make it easier to apply!

horrible
-11.09.12
Quick Take: uneffective
I mean, I have bought products before that didn't work for me or were not right for me. So no big deal. But this bronzing lotion - not only did it not make me look any tanner than the regular tanning lotion from St. Tropez, but it is a horrible murky green paste that you have all over your face and you are supposed to leave it on for a while. So I left it on overnight. Results: green pillow, green hands where I touched my face while I was sleeping and when I washed this murk off the next day, twice, the towel got green spots as well. Needless to say this goes back.

Expensive and doesn't live up to the hype
-11.07.12
The sole purpose of the nasty green tint is that it is
supposed to achieve color correction to counter the orange issue. Well... I could have given an oompa loompa a run for their money. I was still orangeish. I also thought it turned out muddy looking. Maybe I'm just too Irish for self tanners. I give up. The only positive. It had no odor.

Horrible!
-10.22.12
Quick Take: green, horrible
I love St. Tropez but not this one! I don't know why this is different from the original (maybe because it says "dark"?) but this green color STAYS on you! I don't understand the reviews that say it has a nice color after you wash it off. A couple of us just used this to see if one of us did it wrong and we all look like we were in an accident - bruised green from knee to ankle (thank goodness nobody used it on their face!). This leaves you with a green tint! Stay Away!!! U
