Fine, not great
-04.26.13
There was no noticeable difference when I used this serum. Perhaps because it didn't use it in conjunction with the moisturizing therapy. Not awful, but I've tried better.

Sigh....
-04.19.13
I wanted to LOVE this, I really did! BUT the 1oz jar only lasted a week. A WEEK!! I used it on my arms, twice a day for a week and now it's empty. And to make matters worse, it doesn't even look that much better... So disappointed.

Quick Take: absorbs quickly, smoothing
I've tried everything under the sun for the stubborn Keratosis Pilaris on the backs of my arms. This is the only product that has ever made a difference! It smoothed out the bumps and the redness has faded a lot. I can wear tank tops again without being embarrassed of my arms! Thanks KP Duty!

Wonderful but Pricey
-01.18.13
Quick Take: absorbs quickly, helpful
I don't mind spending money on products that work because it is SO RARE that I find a great product that helps my Keratosis Pilaris, but this one doesn't last long enough to get your moneys worth. I have lots of Dermadoctor products that I love and actually this is one of my favorites, I just wished I could get more out of it. I use it on my arms mostly but on the front and backs of my thighs in the summertime. I'd kill for a bigger bottle...for the same price of course. I have since been recommended to try First Aid Beauty's lotion to assist in my KP healing.

too expensive
-01.04.13
It does what it says. It did minimize the red bumps on my arms. But the serum goes really fast. I just don't think it is worth the price for such a small amount. I used it up within 2 months.

I'm not sure anything can help KP. I think we just have to accept (I do see some results with the Thymes body lotion, though).
Also, the scent of this is grody.

I tried a sample version of this and along with the moisturizer it made me skin look super shiny and the serum smelled really bad.

The serum did seem to help the KP Duty which did nothing for me on it's own, but for the price of both it's not worth it.

I'm a big fan of the KP scrub and lotion - they have made such a huge difference in the texture of my skin. This serum does moisturize...but I can't see any major difference in the appearance of my skin to justify the extra step.

It Works But It's Not Cost Effective
-11.12.12
This product really works but it is a rip off in terms of how much you get per $42 container. There's also no way to rip the container in order to reach that last bit of product that may be stuck on the bottom.
Bottom line is that my arms haven't looked this good in years. I use the primer and the lotion on my arms once a day (twice if I remember) and I use the KP scrub about 3 times a week.
What I found is the best way to use Dermadoctor is to start using them in the summer when your skin has less KP. That way the products only have to continue to prevent KP rather than trying to treat it.
If you can, get this product because it will work. If not, definitely use the lotion and scrub. But only start using them in the summer when your KP is less severe.

Too little product
-11.04.12
I have pretty severe KP and have the rest of the Dermadoctor line for KP. The line works just ok for me. Regular lotions and scrubs do nothing to combat it and this line at least lessens it if I use it consistently. This priming serum I'm not sure did anything at all. It might have but there is SO LITTLE in the bottle I ran through it too quickly to see any benefit. At $42 I expected more product and less packaging. I only used this on the backs of my upper arms and used it the twice daily as recommended and it barely lasted 2 weeks.

Worth it if you keep up with it

Quick Take: hydrating
This product paired with the KP Duty Lotion is fantastic. If you've struggled with KP or extremely dry skin, and you have red bumps to prove it, I would suggest looking into Dermadoctor's KP line. It's a little pricey, but so are other prescribed creams. I did not purchase the scrub because, let's face it, $50 for a body scrub is ridiculous. So I use my own scrub paired with the serum and KP lotion, and I have smooth thighs all day. It recommends you do this twice a day, and you definitely should - if you don't keep up with it, the bumps come back quickly. This would be my only complaint - the hydrating effects don't last long. But this is the only serum+cream that has actually made the bumps disappear. I've yet to decide if the price is worth it, but I would suggest trying it if you've exhausted all drugstore options (which don't work at all) and/or your dermatologist suggests a ridiculously expensive prescription cream like mine did!

Bumps on Arms GONE!
-09.05.12
I have been using this product in conjunction with the scrub and the lotion... Maybe that is the difference. I use the scrub in the shower at least twice a week, followed by the serum when I get out and then the lotion. I have noticed that my arms are completely smooth. I still have a little redness, from old scars, but I can be patient.
My thighs have been a little more stubborn, and while I have seen a marked improvement the bumps are not yet gone, but almost. I am not sure that it is the serum or using all three together, I just know that I was desperate. I even started using my clarisonic on my arms and legs. Now that I am seeing an improvement I am seriously happy.
The only negative I have is the price of the serum. Small bottle, (It looks bigger than it is because the bottom is a small thing of the scrub), and out of the three this is the least cost efficient. If I had to drop one this would probably be it because you just get so little for the price.

Made my KP worse
-08.14.12
I was really hoping that this KP serum would work given the great description. Unfortunately it made my KP MUCH worse. I have a pretty mild case (but still bothersome to me) on my upper arms and thighs, and my bumps got significantly worse after about a week of using this product. It was worse than it has been in years. I will be returning this.

Don't waste your money
-08.10.12
This serum did NOTHING for the bumps on my arms and thighs. It is a total rip-off in the cost department too - 1 oz. for $42? If you are using it on larger areas of your body (such as arms and legs) it will be gone in no time. The sample of the scrub that came with it was fabulous though. Took tthe serum back to the store and exchanged it for a tub of the scrub.

Not sure but seems good
-08.01.12
Quick Take: absorbs quickly
Ok, I have severe KP on the back of my thighs. The scrub KP duty offers is amazing, can't say enough about that. The lotion is also pretty good, not as good as the scrub though that's for sure. But this serum, I'm not sure. When I started using it, I also had bumped up what I was doing with the other two... I use the scrub in the shower daily and the lotion after the shower, and AGAIN before I go to bed. I started using the serum right before I put the lotion on after showering. And after doing this, my skin got even better (no it's not perfect though) but it's pretty darn good now. I honestly think the serum only helped a little, but to me every little bit counts if you saw how bad my skin was. So I guess I would keep using this. But don't bother using this if you don't also use the scrub and the lotion. Using this alone wont do much.

I want my money back!
-07.23.12
Quick Take: scented
I was really excited to buy this product, when I finally did I got a huge surprise the product didn't do nothing to my arms, it didn't reduce the red bumps or make my skin smooth, I used it as recommended but the outcomes fail, I'm very sad and disappointed.
