Quick Take: illuminating, smooth, fantastic
Believe me, I've tried so many tinted moisturizers and this is the best! It goes on so smoothly and covers very well. I like it also because it is illuminating. The tube has a pump on it so I can control how much moisturizer comes out. With other brands, I squeeze the tube and get a big blob. It has a slight cinnamon smell but that goes away after it is applied. I love it!

Quick Take: sheer coverage, expensive
This product is hard to blend out and felt dry on my skin. Also it has no coverage and the color selection is not so good. And I really didn't care for the scent. It didn't do anything for me and is definitely not worth the price. Had to return it.

just a little too expensive for what it is. Thought I would get a larger amount. Coverage is sheer. I'll be going back to by regular foundation and skin moisturizer. I was just as happy with that and I'll pay less and get more in the long run.

I have tried numerous tinted moisturizers and the new BB creams, searching for something with a bit more coverage than a tinted moisturizer. I don't routinely wear foundation because I have never found one that I can get used to - the texture and concerns about it not looking natural have made every experiment fail (for me). As I have gotten older, I would like some coverage to even out my skin tone, hence my trials of BB creams and now this Lancome product. Because of my age and job that includes a lot of driving and sun exposure, I also always wear sunscreen, usually Shisedo Urban Environment which is mineral based.
The Lancome is a little thicker than most tinted moisturizers I have tried, but a little does go a long way - you just need to be sure to rub it in well, otherwise it looks to think and cakey on the skin. I did not necessarily notice "firming action", but it did not have a greasy or super moisturizing feel. I have combo skin and it did not increase my oiliness in t-zone while it did seem to give enough moisture on cheeks. The problem I ran into was where/when to apply sunscreen. I tried applying sunscreen before and after the Lancome, but both had problems. Applying sunscreen under increased the look that this tinted moisturizer was a product sitting on my skin, like foundation. Applying sunscreen over worked better, but I had more issues with dryness. Mineral based sunscreens will be a bit more drying because the zinc absorbs moisture. For this reason, I have only used this Lancome moisturizer at night, to avoid the sunscreen problem. It does look good and feels natural, but ultimately my goal was to find a tinted product for daily wear...

This year I embarked on a quest to find the most perfect "Tinted moisturizer" or "BB Cream." The product I chose had to be an all-in-one product. It had to stand on its own without having to add other products with it, (with the exception of sunscreen, which I do not use unless I am going to be out in the sun that day, then I add it) to make it complete. Many products make this 'all in one' claim, but for me, most of those claims turned out to be, not true. Cost is a factor but being able to use a product without having to add others can save lots of money.
At my last count, I tried over 20, brand name and not so brand name products. I purchased many and used samples. I was beginning to think it was impossible to find one product that did it all, for me, at least. Then, I gave in and purchased Renergie. What a wonderful surprise! Renergie Eclat is, clearly, my winner. Here is why:
This makes my skin look years younger than it is. I am 62 and have good skin but this made it look so much better. The look, for me, is like natural skin, only much better. We talk of luminosity, "lit from within", well, this does it! It gives me a glow that lasts all day, long, until I take it off. Some others gave the luminosity look when first applied, but within a short period of time, it was gone. It is not greasy looking at all but gives my skin a dewey look. Can't explain it, you just have to see it for yourself. Most of the products I used, had a matte look to them, which is 'murder' for aging skin. I managed to make them look better by adding face oil base, moisturizer, primer, highlighter, etc... more $$$...but who wants to do all that, when this product stands alone and needs nothing else? I mean, not even a light moisturizer! Of course you can add other things, it if you want, but not required. I can easily justify paying this price, because of that. I do use concealer under my eyes for dark circles. This product is not heavy, but you can use more for better coverage, if needed. So many of the products I tried were so heavy, heavier than my usual foundation. If going out in the evening, I would use this and just a bit of my foundation on top, but seriously, that isn't even necessary for me. I haven't used foundation since I began using this.
I live in a very dry climate, a have very dry skin and you would never know it, when I wear Renergie. Some of the other products I used made my skin look so dry and were difficult to apply. I believe this would work for all skin types, except, maybe, the very oily & prone to break outs, I just don't know for sure, since I don't have those things to consider. The color is gorgeous and blends with my skin to even out my skin tone and just looks great. I have a mid-medium complexion, without a tan, with yellow undertones. Many other products I tried, had terrible color to them. Many too orange and too grayish. I chose the number 3 shade in Regenerie, but it was too dark for winter months and had to exchange it. It would be perfect for well tanned skin. I usually go a little darker with these products, but not this one. It does have that chemical reaction thing, where it does sort of a match to your skin color, within reason. I would suggest this shade, number 2, for medium range skin tones. Might be best to go with the number 1, if you have light or fair skin. Try it first , if you can.
I have noticed the slight lifting affect before and after use, particurlarly in the jowl region. I imagine it would depend on the degree of skin sagging one has, as to how much it would help. I don't use it everyday as I work from home, am bare skinned much of the time, so don't know if the lifting gets better with regular use. I'll take any degree of lift!
I know I am in the minority, about loving that Regenerie does not have sunscreen added. I feel it is like salting food, you can always add it. First, I believe sunscreen changes the quality of a product, for the worst, when mixed in. Also, some sunscreens cause break-outs, and have for me. There are so many different types of sunscreens available and I would like to pick my own and apply it to my skin, under the Regenerie. That way, it is not mixed in with the product, in the container, to mess with the texture and consistency. I believe the sunscreens added to other tinted moisturizers and BB creams causes them to have a degradation of quality. I am not saying, don't use sunscreen, USE SUNSCREEN, just don't mix it with products. Choose the one you want to apply to your skin. I believe Lancome knows what they are doing by leaving it out of Regenerie.
Lancome scientists have almost alway done a great job, in my opinion. Lancome products are dependably good in most cases, but this one is GREAT and has exceeded my expectations.

I compared this to Omorovicza's SPF 20 BB cream and this performs & looks way better. Just wish it had the sunscreen too and ONLY reason I gave four stars, instead of five. But still LOVE how it makes my face look (much smoother and brighter). I'm light to medium and color #2 was PERFECT!
On my second tube and still hoping Lancome will eventually add or either make an identical one with sunscreen (preferably the non-chemical type).

Quick Take: sheer coverage, lightweight
I use mostly Lancome products and have fallen in love with BB creams so I wanted to give this one a try. It works fairly well to illuminate without sparkles or anything un-natural. Im young, so I dont really see the lifting benefits but it hydrated and worked good for color correction. I normally wear a full coverage foundation so I did layer it in some concern areas but if you have clear skin this will look amazing on it own! Like it a lot, will probably buy when it runs out.

Extremely disappointed

I thought I'd try this new product, I was actually looking to purchase Lancome's wonderful lifting and brightening serum Collaser-5x, but they have discontinued it! It was the most effective product I've ever used and was hoping this new tinted moisturizer would also be as "lift-ful." No way. It didn't do much at all -- either used alone or under my foundation. Lancome, please bring back your 5x, I miss you!!

I have explored a multitude of products, Lancome and others and can say this is tops!
This has replaced my moisturizer AND foundation so helps justify the price.
The key to this product is less is best! The less I use, the better the results!

Feels good, just the right amount of coverage, evens out redness and doesn't rub off during the day. I just wish sunscreen was included. A little pricey but it only takes a couple squirts for the face and neck.

I have been a Lancome user for many years and while most of the products are quite pricey, they are always worth the price you pay for the look you receive. This product is no exception; it is phenomenal. It does illuminate my skin without making it sparkly or with flecks of glitter like you see in some other products, it glides on smoothly and evenly, does not take much product to cover your entire face, and provides great coverage. I had been searching fruitlessly for a BB-type, all-in-one cream/tinted moisturizer but found that every other company that makes them does not come in any color darker than "dark" (which truly means tan) and I finally found what I was looking for with this. This will be my summer staple and probably all year round staple. It provides a nice luminosity to your face, not making it oily or greasy (and I have oily skin), and it lasts all day. Truly worth a try.,

Too oily for me.. not impressed...

I really did not like the texture of this product by itself or on my face. It feels greasy and slippery right out of the tube- I wanted to scrub my hands with soap immediately after touching it. Even worse, it made my face feel and look like an oil slick. I bought it with the intent of wearing it as a base moisturizer/tone corrector under my makeup, but it did not blend well with any of my usual face cosmetics and I still looked oily even after several applications of powder foundation. I also tried using the Illuminate with a mattifying primer but that didn't make much of a difference. The "lifting" and "firming" action wasn't anything to write home about either- but I only used the product a handful of times before deciding to return it, so maybe the antiaging effects become more noticeable with continued use?
I had pretty high expectations for this product (and rightfully so, at $75 a pop,) and this didn't even come close. So now I'm back on the hunt for the perfect tinted daily BB cream.. sigh.

I took a sample of this home and was a bit turned off at first by the smell. Lancome over does it a bit on the scent but it does fade almost immediately. As I've moved into my 40s I 've found it harder and harder to find a good foundation that doesn't clump into my pores and look terrible within hours of applying. This tinted skincare product is perfect. I read the other review this received on Sephora and I have to disagree on all levels. The product is very lightweight and I found that I didn't need to apply very much. It goes on flawlessly and I can't even tell I'm wearing makeup. The real test was at the chiropractor when I had to place my face in the paper. Normally I get up and see all my foundation there but not with this product. I really love it and would definitely recommend it.
