I've tried all of Sephora's favorite primers from Becca, smashbox,korres, too faced, givenchi, cover fx, I tried it all. None lived up to what they promised, so I got a sample of clinique's pore refiner and tried it out and right away! My pores were gone and it didn't leave a powdery/dry finish like the Porefessional did. I am know love with this product.

Quick Take: lightweight, non-clogging, good for sensitive skin, lasting
I have an oily T-Zone and I hate wearing make-up or blotting my face w/rice paper. This product really works, I apply it every morning and it mattifyes my face and lasts all day really. I actually mix it w/my BB cream and I think my complextion looks almost flawless w/that combination, no need for any make up or cover-up at all. Worth the $.

I bought the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Stay-Matte Hydrator as an after Christmas present to ME. I had never used this product before purchasing it but thought that the terms "PORE-REFINING" and "STAY MATTE" sounded like just what my skin needed.
It has been three weeks since my purchase and I'm in love! This product is amazing! It does exactly what it says - which is control oil and refine the look of my pores. It goes on beautifully and makes my skin feel awesome! I am now confident enough to leave my house without makeup. This stuff is the best!

Quick Take: lightweight
So I put this on at 7 in the morning and I have been needed to blot my face around 11:30-12. If I don't use it I'm blotting at 11. For the price its not buying me the extra time that it should to justify it. It will be going back because my drugstore mattifying lotion is just as good and it is about $9 for 4 oz.

The best matifying product is LANCOME PURE FOCUS MATIFYING MOISTURIZING LOTION which is no longer available. I've been looking for a substitute product for several months and the CLINIQUE PORE REFINING SOLUTIONS STAY-MATE HYDRATOR is the closest product to Lancôme Matifying Lotion.
The consistency of the Clinic Stay-Matte Hydrator is a bit running, so it takes longer to dry. It feels messy when you apply, but it dries out to an almost perfect matt skin. It's supposed to keep your skin shine free for 8 hours, but it only last about 4 hours on my excessive oily skin. I can stretch a bit longer if I first apply CLINIQUE PORE REFINING SOLUTION INSTANT PERFECTOR.

A great light-weight moisturizer!

I never used to wear moisturizer during the day because it always used to make my skin oily. This has really changed my makeup routine. I put this on directly after washing my face and I stay matte all day - even when I use sunscreen and foundation on top! It would be great if it had sunscreen - but the reason I think it's better than Murad's mattifying moisturizer is that while Murad's has this weird gluey consistency, Clinque's is totally lightweight. It feels great on the skin!
However, it didn't really do anything for my pores - so don't buy it just for that - but it IS great for combination/oily skin. I can hide my pores with foundation - so I'm giving this five stars anyway!

Nice product.... glad I tried this ..... I like the smooth, refining and toned feel I get after use..... I apply before my moisturizer and them prime and foundation.... my pores seems refreshed and refined ..... very good product!

I have huge pores on my T-zone and under my eyes and I really tried liking this product but it's just downright terrible. I have the Clinique 3-step and thinking that this product would work even better with it, I was proven wrong.
This product makes my face greasier after the 3-step (I like the 3-step) and it makes me breakout too! NOT worth the money. I did NOT see any results.

Quick Take: doesn't work
I bought this because my nose is shiny all the time and this product has great reviews. The first time I put it on, I noticed that my face was more matte, but my nose was still shiny. Later that day, I felt oily and ended up using 3 oil blotting sheets. I gave it about anolther week and still the same problem. I will be returning this. If it's supposed to mattify the skin, I shouldn't have to use oil blotting wipes all over my face. Before this product, I only needed to use them on my nose. Now I have to use them all over.

I have suffered from oily skin for years and have never found an effective mattifying product...until now! Skin stays matte all day, with or without make-up. Even in the humid summer weather it keeps my skin shine-free, and without clogging my pores. It might be drying in winter weather, but for now I love, love, love this product!

I have extremely oily skin during the warmer months. Even worse when it's humid out. I can wash my face and put on moisturizer in the morning, and have an oil slick by the time I make it to work. I know that if you don't use a moisturizer, it can just make the problem worse, so normally I just use a ton of blotting paper. This stuff it great! It keeps my skin matte for hours. Sometimes all day, sometimes just most of the day. When it first goes on, it feels like it won't moisturize at all. But my skin never feels tight. It's a really great balance. I don't notice a difference in the size of my pores yet, but I am totally ok with that. This keeps my face supple, matte, and break-out free. I couldn't ask for more!

I've tried all the primers Laura Mercier, Smashbox, Nars, you name it, but love this one. Finally, I have found the perfect primer for my type 3 skin. It keeps me matte throughout the day, but not too dry or powdery looking. Just a fresh glow. This is perfect for me! Thanks, Clinique!

I am very oily in my t-zone and cheeks and this works really really well!!!! I love it! the only think i would recommend is putting a moisturizer on afterwards. seemed a bit drying but not too bad. Love it!

I like using foundation primers but have found that after trying many brands, I couldn't find one that would control the shine and oily skin in the T-zone until I tried Clinique . I still use my favorite primer on the rest of my face and use the Clinique on my nose and forehead. It does fill In pores and controls the oil, and me it lasts most of the day without having to use blotting tissues. I will continue to buy it. I use a powder foundation .
