SEPHORA COLLECTION Urban Luxe All Over Powder Palette

What it is:A portable, practical, and perfect compact with multiple shades of blush, bronzer, highlight, and contour colors. What it does:This versatile palette creates both contoured and highlighted looks with a luminous, allover glow. The pearly shades incorporate a light, transparent base that allows brilliance of pearls to amplify, while the glitter adds a subtle sparkle. Colors can be combined or used individually to generate different looks depending on personal preference and is perfect for you when you’re on-the-go. Infused with vitamin E and aloe to sooth and protect the skin, this must-have pallete produces a brilliant, iridescent, and multidimensional color, leaving an especially radiant finish.

I love bronzer and shimmer. This product has them both. You must use caution tho... the shimmer can be overwhleming for work or regular coffee day. I used my loose powder over the bronzer to help tone it down. Good find for low price.

Good enough

Quick Take: eyeshadow
Using it for eyes. Its nice sized, conveniently packaged nuetrals, but its not particulary creamy formula...so theres some fallout. It was is clearance, so it was a bargain.

Versatile Powder
-12.27.12
I puchased this powder because it comes in so many shades which can be used for cheeks, lids, highlighting etc. which makes it a great makeup product for travel. It also comes in a very generous size so it will last you a very long time. The only drawback for me was the layer of fine gold glitter atop. I realized after a few swipes for swatches that it's only a thin dusting on the top layer of the powder and it comes off in a few uses.

This palette is too small to separate for highlighting or bronzing purposes, its a nice light shimmer to apply with a slanted kabuki brush.

Definately Not Meant To Be a Bronzer
-12.05.12
This is more subtable as an eyeshadow. The light colors are more to add a subtle sparkle and the darker colors work as a medium eye shadow color. Not made to be a bronzer.

Not what I expected
-12.03.12
Quick Take: darker than expected
I love using all over bronzers that leave the face sun kissed, but this didn't deliver. If you swipe your brush across all the colors, the darkest dominates and makes the face look a bit dirty. And using the remaining colors isn't dark enough, but they do look pretty as a base eyeshadow, so for me, all was not lost.

Hard to get used to
-11.29.12
Quick Take: glittery, dark, hard to use
This was not easy to adjust to. I have used bronzers in the past that were more of an orange classic bronze. This however is very hard to use. It is very glittery... very. Another reviewer was right in that you have to use the black/brown very lightly. A little goes a long way with this powder. I had to wipe most of it off my face after my first application. I do like it as an all over shimmer though. Looks nice and glittery.
If you want something quick that you don't have to work to use this is not it.

To much glitter.
-11.23.12
Quick Take: shimmery
I don't like glitter, where are the pearl and matte products. If you like sparkle this is for you the colors are beautiful and go on and blend really well. But why so much shimmer. I love this palette and it is very versatile but to mu shimmer. Take it away from that have handed person. Less is more when it come to shimme in my world.

A little goes a long way
-11.20.12
Quick Take: soft shimmer
This is a cute little bronzer alternative if you're not willing to spend over 25$ on a tub of orangey-brown powder. What is great about this is that you have the option to mix colors, when you contour you should swipe the contouring color (mix between the lightest 3 and a *dab* -KEYWORD, DAB of the darkest color. Swirl, tap, and buff onto the face, blending very well after so there's not an obvious line. Then, take the goldish color and combine it with the white to highlight the area you contoured. Start by sweeping it up the apples of your cheekbones and work down. It will create that pretty shadowed effect, and the light micro glitter specks are hardly visible when on the face, they just create the illusion of light shiny, dewy skin. how "black" it turns out is simply based on how heavy a hand you have in applying product. I have medium-light olive toned skiin, and I could easily look like a clown by overdoing the colors on this. It's not a huge palette, so just be mindful about where the placement of your brush is. The best thing about this palette, besides how much you get for the price, is how multi-purpose it is. The brown colors are great for filling in eyebrows, depending on how dark yours are and you can mix and match, and the white is nice for highlighting under the brow. All the colors are pretty on the eyes as well, especially the gold on the lids, so it truly is an "all over palette as advertised." It's a pretty versatile palette that can easily match any skin tone provided a little attention is paid when applying it. Nice buy, and it should last a while, even if you don't like the way it looks as a bronzer it can easily make a nice every-day eyeshadow go to for a natural look. Try it. :)

Urban Luxe All Over Powder Palette

I actually decided to order this powder blusher/bronzer because it was on sale. It was practically a STEAL! And it give such a nice glow and color. I really like it, especially as a sweep over your foundation and final makeup.

Gliter*atti!!!
-11.12.12
Quick Take: glitter effect
If you are looking for shimmer more so than glitter, than keep looking. I purchased this due to the bargain price. It has much more glitter than I anticipated but I still use it daily on my decollete area. I also use the lightest section to highlight my brow bone as a final touch for my daily makeup.

Love
-11.08.12
I use it mainly for eyeshadow! I also use the darkest brown to fill in my eyebrows as opposed to using a pencil. Colors blend very well and last at least 8 hours! It is shimmery I like to dust a little over my cheekbones right after I've applied blush

Great Colors - Not for face?
-10.30.12
Quick Take: soft shimmer, great for eyes
I got this on sale and couldn't wait to get it. It says it's an all over powder, but I'm not too sure I'd use it on my face.
It has 4 colors - all of them are a "Brown" color, from light to dark.
I tried it on my face but the colors don't show up that well. And if I put something on my face, I don't want it to look like clown makeup - but I'd like it to show some color. What I did see on my face is a lot of sparkles. I swirled my brush over the palette and a lot of the sparkles were picked up on the first and second swirling, so most of the sparkles came off, leaving just some on the palette. I think to use this on the face, it would probably work better on fair skin tones/colors. I am portuguese so have darker skin tone and color but not dark, so these colors just don't show up on me.
I then used the colors on my eyes. I have to say it is like night and day. The colors show up on my eyes. I didn't use a lot so what I got what a natural glow with minimal sparkle. If you want to go darker just apply more or use a primer. I used the lightest color <center> on my brow bone, just below the brow, the next lightest color <top right> on the top part of my crease, the 2nd darkest color <above the bottom left> on my lid and then I used the darkest color in the crease and above/below my eyelashes. I have green eyes and this color combination made my color pop!
This product does have "ripples" throught it so if you're using on eyes you'll have to watch where your brush goes, unles you want it blended. As for the face, I have all kinds of blush brushes and swirling my brushes all over the palette gave me an even application - I didn't see any issues with application.
As for how long this has lasted - I applied this to my eyes at noon. It is now 6:30pm and it looks like I just put it on. No creases. I still have the luminous look and the sparklies are still there.
All in all I think this is a great product and even though I got it on sale, I would pay full price for it.
I only gave it 4 stars because I think this should be classified as an eye product, not an all over powder.
I would recommend it though!
