Just getting started
-01.25.13
I've wanted to try Carol's Daughter for years but I just didnt want to have to wait for shipping. So I was very excited when I found out Sephora sold their products locally I was so happy. I wish the bottles were larger because the products are a little pricey. However my hair is worth it. I did notice my hair was softer than normal. Ask me what I think in a month....

Quick Take: easy to use, multi-step, quick results, moisturizing, repairing, softening
I use this once or twice a week and I get incredible softening results. (Even after the first use.) It has really repaired my hair as well.

Transition Made Easy
-10.25.12
Quick Take: easy to use, multi-step, quick results, fabulous
This product works very well. I've heard a lot about it and I purchased it a few weeks ago after transitioning out of a relaxer. I went for the "big chop" and used this product. It softened, detangled and strengthened my hair. I was very amazed. It does exactly what it says that it does.

Not Good For Me At All
-10.11.12
Quick Take: too many steps and time required for shower
Tangles my relaxed hair soooooo bad. I've tried using this twice and it doesnt work for me. Dont go over the sink using this product. I was scared I was going to snatch myself bald trying to untangle. The shower isnt much better. $40.00 gone . . . .

Awesome

Quick Take: easy to use
I've been transitioning for quite some time and just using a regular shampoo. However, I noticed that my hair would just break off after I washed and conditioned it. With the transitioning kit, I have not noticed as much breakage. I feel way more comfortable. Thank goodness for this kit.

Upset
-08.24.12
I was doing a long term transitioning until I've used this product. It tangled my relaxed hair really bad to the point where it loc up. I've tried everything to detangle my hair but no luck. I had to cut 6" of my relaxed hair off. I do not want to do the big chop because I do not feel comfortable with short hair. Reading the reviews on this set made me make the purchase. The shampoo did not allow me to run my fingers through my hair. My hair felt dry and brittle. The second step made my hair worst. I thought the conditioner would help but nothing happened. I would like to believe that I got a bad batch. Very upsetting.

Quick Take: drying, moisturizing at first
Just some background, I have already cut off all my hair almost a year ago, and finally have gotten my natural hair on the right track to being healthy. It was looking very nice and healthy the first time I used this set, but by the second time not so much. My hair is kinky/ curly, thread- like strands that are very fine and need lots of moisture without heavy products/ buildup. I thought this would be a great kit to use and complement my routine, and I so wanted it to work.... it seems that all three must be used at the same time, as in step 3 can only be put in hair after you have used steps 1 and 2. Also, I found that I couldn't use the shampoo (step 1) by itself which was a shame, because I liked how it detangled my hair but it didn't work as a good base for other conditioners/ treatments for my hair.
I think I'll just stick with using CD's Tui hair smoothie, it definitely gives my hair much needed moisture and strength conditioning.

So Far; So Good
-07.31.12
Quick Take: easy to use, multi-step, tried and true
This is my second time trying to transition from relaxers to natural. The first time was around 2005/2006 and I was no where near educated on caring for natural hair like I am now (with the help of Carol's Daughter). It's been 3mos now since my last relaxer. I have been using the Transition Kit (along with other Carol's Daughter products), I clip my ends every 6wks (although in the picture the stylist cut too much), and I flat iron twice a month to help manage my long grow-out. It has been a WONDERFUL product to use: helps keep the hair manageable and it really does control a great percentage of shedding. I HIGHLY recommend this kit to help with your transition.

Ive only used the kit one time so its hard to give a rendering of how well the product does what it claims. I like the idea of a "scalp exfoliant" especially for chemically treated hair and the helping correct the damage done to the scalp by chemical treatments. I like the idea of the lo poo to help keep the different textures of hair supple and less likely to break at the weak points. The conditioner was really soothing and thick. The scalp spray did make my hair a bit dry (which I understood to happen since its an exfoliant) but the conditioner did give it back slickness and softness; I'd like for the conditioner to be a stand alone product in the CD line.

No great for me
-07.11.12
Quick Take: multi-step
It was only ok. The second step was frustrating. Hard to part hair to spray on my 4a transitioning hair. The first step does not get hair soft enough to do part 2. A waste of money in my opinion. The 3rd step was ok but no better than any other conditioner. I also used the koret pre shampoo treatment as suggested.

Phenomenal!
-07.07.12
Quick Take: easy to use, multi-step, quick results, immediate result, restoring, manageable, curl boosting, moisturizing, supple, effective, soft, excellent
This product is THE TRUTH! I am going through a transitional phase and it has been quite a struggle to keep and maintain my hair. I have naturally kinky hair (4c to be exact) therefore, it tends to be fine, coarse, tangles and frankly, a pain to brush through. I have tried many different products at difference price point but never truly felt satisfied with the end result. After making several research and looking at what it takes to grow good, healthy and manageable hair, I became aware of the key ingredients that are necessary to remedy and restore the overall health and well-being ofmaintaining natural hair. I chose to either look for products on the market that would contain all these key ingredients or make them myself. Frankly, after adding it all up, it would have been costly to combine them all together for usage.
Being a savvy and educated consumer, I stumbled upon Carol's daughter products. With a quick glance, she has packaged a hair care system with ingredients that are key to the successful care and maintenance of hair growth. My first use was today and I am a loyal new fan! The fact that I am able to comb or run my fingers through my hair going throw each steps left me amazed. The end result is even more phenomenal once you'll notice how soft, define, manageable and moisturizer your new beautiful, natural hair will feel.It takes time, but it is worth every single minutes I've invested!!!!!
Before starting the treatment , I did a deep olive oil home infusion treatment which is also a result-driven and fantastic home care system. I gave myself a well worthy haid/head spa and the best way you can understand my experience is to try it for yourself and you'll be preaching too.
At this point, I'm ready to make make a run to Sephora and buy more of her products. I am highly satisfied when it takes a lot for me to be pleased. Thank you Ms. Carol for making my dream of starting to and maintaining my natural such a delightful experience. Now I'm extra thrilled to be on the path of enjoying my natural tresses :-)

GREAT PRODUCT!!!
-06.26.12
It really repairs hair... after few uses my hair look much better, shiny and healthy.
The product is natural and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.
It's easy to use but he only problem is that it takes too much time to use it every day (minimum 35 min).

WONDERFUL!!!!!!

Quick Take: easy to use, multi-step, quick results
I am usually a skeptic until I try out a product for myself, but these products are great. I have thick, coarse hair so I usually have to use a lot more product to get result. Then I have to blow dry and either use a flat iron or a hot comb. ***NOT THIS PRODUCT*** My hair felt so silky smooth after just blow drying it. I recommend using it with Olive Oil Infusion At-Home Treatment for maximum results.
