Quick Take: lightweight, volumizing, softness, shine
Alterna does a grab job with fine hair. I use this every day to my roots (which is usually not where fine hair girls put product). It seems to coat my hair to make it appear thicker and fuller.

Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use, fresh smelling
My stylist used this on my hair and I could see an immediate difference. I have fine hair and this product plumped it up and made me look like I had a lot of hair. I will buy it again once I'm out.

I really wanted to like this product but it was just ok. I didn't notice much difference immediately after I blow-dried and styled my hair with it. I did notice my hair was thicker and had more body the next day (I wash my hair 2-3 times a week). Because it does give sustain my volume and style longer, I decided not to return it but I don't think I"ll be purchasing it again. Disappointed because I really wanted this to be a fantastic product that was also more natural and contained fewer harmful chemicals. On the plus side, it does smell great, like all the other Bamboo products.

Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use
I sprayed this all over my baby fine, thin hair and it really gave it a thickness. It has nice movement, softness and shine yet looks fuller. It didn't look matte, puffed up ,and dirty-feeling like many products...it's still looks smooth and healthy, just thicker. My only complaint about this product is the smell. It smells very masculine, like men's cologne and kind of gave me a headache at first. The smell does fade away, but while styling your hair it is potent.

Great volume when hair is wet...

I have thin black hair. I have always struggle with getting the right amount of volume. I tried this product and I love it. However, I did notice that it works best when hair is wet and then you blow dry. I tried on dry hair and semi wet and the effects aren't as great as when its wet. That's why I gave it 4 stars. I also loved that I didn't even have to style as much to feel my hair fuller and with great volume.

Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use
I like this Alterna Volume spray and use it daily. As the title states, it is effective...temporarily. Immediately after applying there is a noticeable difference in the volume of my hair, but it falls after thirty minutes to an hour.
The spray is indeed lightweight, does not leave my hair sticky or crunchy, and smells great. Some reviewers have commented that it's more effective to spray into hands; I have no problems when spraying it directly onto wet or dry hair. It does not make my hair look greasy.
However, this spray does not increase volume anywhere near 105%. I would say it increases thickness *temporarily* by perhaps 25%.

Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight, non-sticky
My hair can become very flat because its so long its weighed down. Its impossible to create natural volume without having to backcomb at the roots...until i found this! after i shower i spray this into my roots and blow dry and the volume is insane everytime! Theres no residue or anything after either. Cant live without this one!

I did not get much volume at all. I tried it several times, but it just was not happening. Maybe my hair is too thick and heavy and long. I think if you have short hair this may be just what you need for a bit of volume.

Quick Take: amazing
I have very fine, thin hair and have looked and tried everything on the market for many years. I happen to come across Bamboo Spray, in fact the whole Bamboo line by Alterna and was thrilled with the results. I get compliments wherever I go on how luky I am to have such thick hair, when I give all the credit to Bamboo they start writing it down with Sephora the place they can buy it.

My second order and it does what it claims. Makes me look as if my hair is way thicker than it is. I just wish the amount would go further, not a very large bottle for the money.

I have fine straight hair, and I also HATE the feel of having product in it (bad combo, I know!). I've been seeking a strong volumizer product that lasts all day and gives my hair swing and movement. This is the best volumizer that i have ever used-- no question. I'm on my second bottle! I have shoulder length hair with lots of layers, so this complements the cut perfectly. I can see that if you had long, heavy hair this might not be for you, but for me-- PERFECTION every time... and the volume lasts until I wash my hair!

The most unusual volume spray I've ever used - lightweight, doesn't noticeably thicken my fine hair, but I can get amazing volume that lasts....and lasts....and looks great the next day. My fine hair is easy to work, easy to manage, and holds its style with this product. Despite high cost, will definitely buy it again!

I have a normal amount of hair but very fine strands. After having a child my hair was so limp, fine, and depressingly awful. I felt like I was balding. Over the years I have become a connoisseur of voluminzing products and decided to try this after reading about it in In Style. I spray it on wet strands then blow dry. My hair is instantly fuller and looks so much better. This product has done a lot for my self esteem since my fine hair has been something that has always bothered me. It does exactly what it promises!
