Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight, non-sticky, makes hair shiny
I was looking for new hair protector from heat. I am so glad I asked for a sample from the associate before making a solid purchase because I hate this product. When you spray it on it feels and looks like your just sprayed Aquanet on your hair. So this did nothing for my dry ends. It does give a shine, and maybe it protects your hair, but it doesn't make your hair look nice if you have damaged parts. I usually use oil based hair protectants and they make your hair looks so healthy and undamaged. So I will not be buying a full size of this product.

Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use
I kind of agonized over purchasing this as I have used many other flat iron sprays that left my hair feeling and looking stiff. I have pleasantly surprised with the Alterna spray. Indeed, it leaves my hair silky, soft and protected.
I have found that application makes all the difference. Rather than spraying directly onto my hair, I spray it onto my hands and then apply to my hair section by section. I then wait a few minutes before ironing.

I really wanted to like this stuff, but sadly, I've already returned it.
Left my hair feeling strangely sticky and looking dull. Not crazy about the smell either.

Quick Take: easy to use
I've been using Alterna Bamboo products for a few months now and I love them so I decided to try this from their Caviar line. I have very thick, dry hair that I flat iron twice a week. I like the idea of this product (spraying it on section by section immediately before flat ironing) because it seems thorough, like you're protecting every strand of hair. Unfortunately, I hated how it made my hair feel and look. I didn't feel like it moisturized my hair at all, my hair felt dry and stiff after spraying it on and it didn't look any shinier. It doesn't have a bad smell, but its not a good smell either. I'm definitely returning this product ASAP!

I've never been compelled to write a review on Sephora before, but this deserves one. About me: Fine, thin, super-straight hair with blond highlights that veers towards "lank" if I don't wash every day. A weird combination of oily scalp but dry ends with fly aways. Basically, cr*p hair.
I bought this Iron Spray because I was getting a headshot taken at work and wanted my blowdry to be smooth and neat. It worked very well for that. But then I started using it on other days, when I wasn't even blowdrying my hair. For me, it's a miracle. I spray it on dry hair, give it a brush, and leave it be. That's all! It gives me body and movement without weight.
Every other spray or treatment for "body" ends up either weighing my hair down (see above: lank!) or acting like hairspray (alternative: crispy and crunchy!). But this is gorgeous. My hair feels soft, natural and full of movement, but has more body and oomph than ever before. Basically, I know I can't transform my head, but this is as good as my hair ever gets. I love it.

Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight, non-sticky
I have tried a multitude of sprays formulated for heat styling so when I got this one I was not expecting too much but it was excellent. My hair is naturally curly, very fine, chemically processed to the max and I blow dry and straighten it daily. This spray left my hair extremely smooth and silky. Usually by the next day my hair is a frizzy mess but I find I can actually go a couple days now without subjecting it to heat styling (I just put in a bit of Argan oil or Oscar Blandi Jasmin serum - but keep in mind my mane is parched - and tie it up in a loose bun at night). It is a very lightweight formulation and is not at all greasy or sticky.

Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use
I was looking for a heat protector spray and found this one after reading reviews on here. I really like the product. It sprays a very fine mist that goes on easily and doesn't make hair greasy. Although, the nozzle does gets clogged frequently it is an easy fix. I just run it under hot water for a couple seconds and wipe with a towel. My hair feels smooth and super soft after using this product in conjunction with my smoothing serum from a different brand. Thought about skipping it as the bottle was running out to see if my hair could manage because of the price, but last minute gave in and got another bottle.

My hair is post menopausal, frizzy, fine, and brittle. I have to use the straightening tool, however my hair looked dry. This spray protects it from the heat and gave it great shine

I have only just started using heat protection sprays and thought I'd start with this. It doesn't really smell and is very light when spraying. It does seem to work and my hair seems really shiny and full. I use it after lightly blow drying to finish with the flat iron. My hair does feel really soft and doesn't seem to break as much. I'd try a few more sprays before settling on one though.

Like the other poster, I really wanted to like it. I really like the Alterna line, but it really did nothing for my hair. Still felt dry and made it feel almost fiilmy.
I never return anything to Sephora, but this one I think is going back. $28 is a lot for something that really just does not work.

Quick Take: easy to use
I really wanted to love this product, but when you use it, it leaves a film that gets on your hands. But I did notice that after a couple of hairs my hair had a really nice luster to it.
