I have acne prone skin and I need to wear makeup everyday. The coverage is pretty good! It's a little on the pale side so I might need something darker for summer. It's way less greasy than other BB creams. I love it. The only negative thing is the price and lack of shades.

I’ve heard about BB creams and how miraculous they are and how people swear by them and how it changes your skin, and basically how it will change your life. So I did some research and pored over reviews to see which one may suit my skin and its needs. Dr. Jart’s Black Label Detox BB Beauty Balm seemed to garner the most positive reviews based on a large percentage of reviewers. I went to Sephora to ask for a sample and to ask the sales associate for something comparable so I could compare products. She also recommended Boscia’s B.B. Cream SPF 27 PA++.
I tried each of these samples for a week before deciding to go with Dr. Jart’s Beauty Balm. With both products, I used as little as possible and then built coverage if I saw the need. While both BB’s offered good coverage, the Boscia BB cream definitely felt heavier and thicker on my face. It felt like I was wearing foundation.
Dr. Jart’s BB also made my face matte. My skin type is combination – definitely oily in the T-zone. However, when I use this cream, my skin remains matte for the entire day. If I’d like more coverage on a particular area such as a blemish, I can add more cream. I can easily add concealer if more coverage is needed. The downside is that on the portions of my skin which are not oily, it can be a bit drying.
I use the bb cream in my daily routine for its coverage – it’s not full coverage but does a very decent job, and manages to remain natural looking. I didn’t have any problems with the color blend. I also use it because it contains an SPF of 25. And lastly, it keeps my skin from looking greasy by the end of the day. That’s never happened. It hasn’t done anything to help lighten my acne scars or prevent my skin from breaking out. I’m a bit skeptical of those reviews.
It’s definitely changed my skincare routine and I think it’s changed my skin slightly, but definitely not life-changing. All in all, a good buy.

Tried many BB creams, most haven't impressed me, but received this as a sample and immediately loved the tint and didnt weigh my skin down. Just recently bought a bigger tube!

Words cannot express how much I dislike this BB cream. I wish I could give it zero stars. My first complaint centers on the ridiculous color. After less than an hour of wearing it, it turns into a strange shade of orange with bits of red and purple mixed in. I apply it the correct way and blend it and all that good stuff yet this disgusting color still persists. It also does nothing for acne-I've had mine for about two weeks and my skin has broken out and flaked off as a result of this so called moisturizing cream. Please ignore the other reviews and do not spend your money on this completely worthless product. Seriously. You will regret it.

This goes on an odd color, but it quickly blends in perfectly with my skin. Good coverage for sun spots and for blending in redness on cheeks and nose. It kept my skin moist throughout the day with no need for additional moisturizer or primer under it. Great product!

This is the best BB cream I have tried, and it has now replaced my normal foundation even for work, special events and nights out. It covers well--even my acne and dark circles--and leaves a flawless finish. Since I switched from the other, heavier foundation I was using I have gotten so many compliments on how good my makeup looks. This has also really helped to clear up my skin and acne. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with it and will continue to purchase. I agree with the other reviewers that it does leave a bit of a shiny, dewy look. But, I have found that putting BECCA's Blotting Powder Perfector in translucent over it really helps with the shine and keeps me oil-free for most of the day.

if you read all the reviews you'll see lots of complaints about the color, I have fair to medium warm complexion. If you have skin like Nicole Kidman's this might work. It's very fair and pink/grayish. Feels really good on though

I really love this product. It covers my rosacea and makes my skin look pretty flawless. I have to blend very carefully at the edges of my face because the color change is noticeable. I have this 4/5 because of that and because it doesn't moisturize at all. In the summer when my face is oilier this will be perfect.

My skin is sensitive, oil, and acne prone. This product has reduced my acne, appearance of pores, oiliness, redness, and skin tone. Never has a product worked so well for me. I get complements all time on how great my skin looks. Worth the money. Looks great on skin alone. I also use Premium for the fall/winter season. Love it! I have spent years and money to perfect my look, this is the miracle.

I was hoping that the "universal shade" would work for me. Unfortunately, my fair skin was too fair for this. I'm not the fairest person I know, so I wonder just how many people can use this so-called "universal" shade. It also didn't go on very smoothly.

I got this back in January to help with my winter dry skin, although my skin is oily and I have breakouts, the acne products I use always cause my skin to get dry and flaky in the winter. I've found that now it's warmer my skin gets too oily with this product if I use it everyday. I mostly use it now when I want extra coverage and my skin is feeling dry. When I do use it, I use bare minerals on top of it and sometimes a little concealer if needed. I think it's pretty amazing how it's one shade but works so well on different complexions. This matches better than my bare minerals. I definitely noticed my scars fading when I was using it everyday!

This is an amazing product! It's done wonders for my complexion (slight brightening of dark spots) and hasn't caused any breakouts. I also appreciate that it has a physical (not chemical) suncreen ingredients.
The color works well for my skin with cool (pink) undertones. It's similar to BareMinerals "Fairly Medium" (i.e. NOT for very fair skin). The coverage is medium, much better than I expected, but I still have to use some concealer. You can use BareMinerals or any setting powder on top of the BB, but you will want to wait a few minutes for it to dry. It goes on a bit sticky/tacky.

Quick Take: amazing, great coverage
I've always been a little on the skeptical side when it came to BB creams, mostly because all the ones I had tried were American brands, trying to hop on the BB cream bandwagon. But let me tell you, this product is the holy grail of skin products! I My routine is to apply a lightweight oil free moisturizer and layer this on top. The coverage is fantastic (I always have breakouts, dark marks, and my cheeks get red from sensitivity) and I don't even need to use concealer anymore.
This product is the perfect balance of coverage and moisture, and don't forget it has SPF!
My only warning would be that it is a light color, and can sometimes appear to be a little gray at fist. Also, you don't need much product to cover your whole face. Other than that, I urge you to go buy this right now :)

I have waited a week and a half-2 weeks of using this product before writing this review. Overall, I'm pleased with this product so far. It is a BB and not a CC, so the coverage is light/sheer, but it has been helping my acne clear up a bit and evens out the skin tone quite a bit as well. My acne is better by leaps and bounds than how it was just one short month ago. I don't know if I can credit this all to this product alone since I am also using 100% argan oil as a moisturizer and applying calamine lotion to help dry/clear up my acne at night. This regimen together is really helping clear up my skin and I will continue using it.

I heard that Dr. Jart has some of the best BB creams out there (according to Allure) so when I ran out of my Laura mercier tinted moisturizer I decided to try it. At first I was skeptical that one color could be "universal", but its true! When you first apply it, it looks pale and chalky, but just give it a few minutes and it really does blend in to your skin color, it's amazing. I also love that by the end of the day my face is not oily, it does moisturizer well, but it does not leave you feeling oily at all. Try it!

I tried many BB creams before finally finding the right one for me. I have dry sensitive skin that is prone to redness and needed a BB cream with a good amount of coverage. This cream is perfect for me. I love the texture; it is thick but easy to blend. It has very good coverage and completely erases all of my imperfections. It makes my skin look flawless without aggravating it or making me break out. I will buy this product again and again!
