Quick Take: light, little goes a long way
I've been using the product for 2 weeks now and think I'm starting to see a small difference. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy which is nice. I'm gunna keep using it for sure

I've used so many brands: Ole Henrickson, caudalie, Clinique, and many more. I saw little or no improvement in the discoloration I got from acne scars and was upset I wasted so much money on products that barely helped. This is such a blessing. I really don't have to wear makeup anymore to cover up the discoloration. I had to be patient with this product of course but within 2 weeks I really have noticeably clearer skin. I have combination skin and good not have been more happier with this product and will definitely purchase it again even though it is pricey. It's worth every penny!

I use this after cleansing and underneath my moisturizer. I really didn't see any lightening of my dark spots or more balanced skin coloration as compared to when I was using the philosophy dark spot corrector. I will continue to search for another cream that works better than both.

Quick Take: not worth the money
To be fair and give this product a real chance I purchased it twice, used it faithfully am and pm for about 7 weeks with little results. I'm still looking for that product that will lighten my sun damaged skin. Ugh!

I have been using this twice daily for about 3 weeks, and I've only noticed a very slight difference. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and keep using it; hopefully the spots will keep fading.

Quick Take: moisturizing
I got this as a sample with my last order. I have been using Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum for a few months with pretty much no success. I started using the Dr. Brandt product 5 days ago and I see a huge difference in the acne scars on my face already! I am so happy I am going to order this.

Moisturizing but dark spots still there..

I used this serum day and night for nearly 3 months. I have a few sun spots but no major damage. Unfortunately I saw no visible lightening of any of the spots. It is rather moisturizing, however this was not why I purchased the product. I will not buy this again.

I was really excited to try this, but ended up REALLY disappointed with the lack of results. I've had good experiences with Dr. Brandt products before, and when I saw I this "dark spot corrector" I forked over the money without even thinking about it... I just assumed it would be worth it.
I followed the directions religiously for 3 months (pea-sized amount in the morning and at night massaged directly into dark spots, used in conjunction with a good SPF moisturizer, and so on..) and the effort and money just weren't worth it. My skin isn't severely damaged, I just have a few little sun spots and lingering marks from old pimples that I wanted to fade. But after 3 months there was literally no visible difference. I even asked my dermatologist if she thought my skin looked any different; she said it seemed a bit more hydrated, but couldn't see any visible improvement in the tone, texture or depth of my dark spots.
What a heartbreaker! Maybe this product has worked well for others, but it really didn't do much for me and I will think twice before spending the money on a product like this. I certainly won't be buying this one again.

Quick Take: lightening balancing
A good thing is that the product works, a bad thing is the effects taper off. My skin was improved for about the first two-three weeks using it, then it showed no more improvement. It's definitely a serum and it blends in well. It needs about 30 seconds to dry into the skin. Great under a daily moisturizer with SPF. I also so dislike this packaging. It is designed to appears that there is more in the bottle than there actually is, because it's a bottle that pumps from the bottom with a thick plastic casing around it. I will keep trying other products but if I'm not satisfied with those, I might return to this.

I ordered this product due to the positive reviews, but trying it for myself wasn't very pleasing. I've used the product for about 2-3 months; I did notice a slight difference in the new dark spots I had but not the old ones. Though, it doesn't drastically remove the spots from your face completely, it just fades and it does take a lot of time. Overall, I won't be purchasing this product again. It didn't work for me for sure.

I have been using this for 2.5 months. There were a couple of spots on my forehead that lightened nicely, but there are 2 darker areas under each eye that I really wanted to fade, but have not so far. They're older spots, so maybe it'll take more time. The packaging is not great and the product is a bit pricey, but maybe worth a try if your darker spots are somewhat new.

Quick Take: hydrating
Let me just start out by saying that I've used about every dark spot product out there; Philosophy, Origins, Clinique, Caudalie, you name it. While some of my acne scars did fade, my dark spots were not fading no matter how much money I spent. I was about to give up until a lady at Sephora suggested this serum. The acne scars and dark spots on my nose, chin, and forehead have lightened so much and the visible pores around my nose and cheeks have disappeared. What I ultimately love about this serum is that my acne has decreased and it gives me a dewy look in the morning. I totally recommend this product and think it's worth the price for what it does.

First of all the packaging is terrible - there are times where no matter how many times I pump it nothing comes out. Second, I found that the Clinique lightening product worked much better and is much cheaper. While my spots didn't get any darker, they certainly didn't get any lighter with this.

i got this as a sample and used literally one drop mixed with my moisturizer at night and all of the acne marks on my face are now gone a month and a half later. i went ahead and ordered the larger size. it's gotten me to a place where i don't need foundation anymore. love love love it and you only need to use a tiny bit.
