Quick Take: easy to use, travel friendly
i love the lasting power of the gel system, but i never look forward to removing them. the whole removal process in general is not very pleasant or easy to do, but this kit includes everything i could think of to make it as comfortable as possible. the wrappers are easy to use, have good gripping power, and stay on the nails when wrapped correctly. much better than the cotton ball and tin foil method used at the salons. the gloves are genius because not only does it keep the wraps on longer, i can still do stuff and use my hands if i have to while waiting for the remover to kick in. i am a repeat buyer of this product and have no complaints! until someone comes up with an easier method, this kit is the way to go!

Quick Take: easy to use
This is much easier and less messy than foil square. I use pure acetone on the little pads, strap them on like bandages, and just wait for the acetone to do the work!

Quick Take: overpriced sloppy and messy doesn't work!
The wraps that come in this kit are strips of sticky gauze with a cotton square end. Once you pour on the remover onto the pad, it will generally seep through. After this, the gauze has trouble sticking to itself because its wet, and good luck wrapping the thing around itself on your fingers! (again, it is one long strip with the cotton pad on one end) A better design would be to have the pad in the middle of the strip so that we can at least wrap the two edges around our finger, but it doesn't work this way. You'll spend most of your time trying to keep it on.

Quick Take: almost perfect
Love the idea. No more soaking at the salon. i can arrive with clean nails ready for gel manicure. The only complaint is the first on pads tend to get loose as I apply the rest to my fingers. Sure with experience that will improve.

Worth it!

I occasionally get gel polish at my local nail salon and have always removed it myself at home. Removing is a bit of a pain and includes foil, cotton, and acetone. With these wraps it's a lot quicker and more effective. The wraps stay on your fingers and in just 20 mins my gel slid right off my nails. A little buffing and my nails looked good as new - no damage whatsoever. Worth spending the $18 but make sure you get acetone which is not included in the kit.

This review is solely based on how well the product does its job. It isn't the best value (kind of expensive) and it takes some time to completely remove the polish. Having tried to remove shellac at home with foil and polish remover, I would never go back from using this kit again.

You need a polish remover and that is not included in the kit. That said, it worked better than any other home remover system for taking off gel nails.

Although this kit contains parts necessary to maintain your gelshine, it doesn't contain everything. What's missing, and not available anywhere for purchase, are the sanding block and the nail pads.

Quick Take: easy to use, effective
I have gotten the OPI service at salons, and removal is always a bother. The acetone smells, and I have to soak my fingers. I never liked this process. These little "bandaids" are so easy to use. The UV gel, just falls off your nails in about 15min, with not damage to my natural nail.

It's diffcult to achieve an immaculate effect unless you are a pro of opi gel nails but if you are careful and apply very thin layer the final result is awesome!. LOVE IT

Good but Expensive - Reusable!

I got three sets of these wraps in my Sephora GelShine kit. I was very pleased with how well it worked - the wraps went on easily, stayed on easily, and did a good job of taking the polish off.
The problem is that I just can't stand to pay $18 for five sets of these. I wanted to eventually save money by doing my own gel nails, and $3.60 per removal (not including nail polish remover itself) is just too much. So I decided to do one hand at a time - first my left, then my right - using the same set of removal pads. It took longer this way, but it worked just fine. So I get double use out of this kit, bringing removal costs down to $1.80. I will still be on the lookout for a convenient (foil is not convenient to me) and cheaper solution.

Better than soaking!

I love doing my own gel manicures at home but hate the removal process! Before I purchased these wraps, I would soak my nails in acetone for an hour, it was horrible. I was hesitant to buy these because of the steep price but im so glad that I did. No more soaking!! I saturate the pads with acetone, wrap my fingers, put the gloves on and do whatever I want. I watch TV, read, whatever.. Then after an hour my polish falls right off. I love it. I use these on my feet too. Love that I can remove hands and feet polish at the same time. To me, these are worth it, I'll never soak again. I took off a star because the price is high, they should either lower price or include more wraps.

LOVE the at-home gel kit, but these removers are not worth it. Use some cotton and tin foil wraps to make doing the gel at home truly worth it. Also, buy some $2 pure acetone at the drug store instead of the normal remover. Works like a charm in about 15-20 minutes!

Quick Take: works well but too expensive
Bought the gel shine kit for $160. Satisfied with the kit but ran out of wraps quickly. I ordered this before I could find another less expensive way to remove the polish. The wraps are fine but I think this particular set would serve better if it contained more wraps and/or a bottle of acetone. The cuticle pusher and gloves are reusable. Instead of buying this product and ending up with a life's supply of cuticle pushers and plastic gloves, I will use beauty-supply acetone, cotton pads and foil.
