Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush

What it is: A vegan brush for blending and buffing makeup to a flawless finish. What it does: Developed for use with Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation, this brush picks up and distributes all formulations from liquid to cream to powder makeup better than a sponge. The “optical blurring” comes in when you buff out your makeup: instead of a streaky finish from fingers or a sponge, buffing disperses the light-diffusing particles in Naked Skin and seemingly fine lines disappear. It’s blending ability makes it ideal for mature skin, as it creates a smooth, youthful-looking appearance. The medium-large brush with densely packed hairs has a domed top that maneuvers nicely around the face, making it suitable for under the eye, around the nose, and around the brow area. What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens- Sulfates- Phthalates- GMOs- TriclosanWhat else you need to know: The brush’s handle is made of recycled aluminum, and its synthetic, cruelty-free brush hairs are more hygienic than real hair (but never get that stinky wet-hair smell).

Best brush ever!!
-05.24.13
I have tried many other brushes but this one is amazing. It really evens out the foundation and doesn't leave any of brush marks that many others do. It really gives my skin a flawless look.

Great brush

I've been using this for a few weeks now with a drugstore BB cream, and it works great! It does soak a lot of the product up, so I normally just dot it on with my finger and then blend everything out with the brush.

Excellent blending brush

I can't live without this brush. I was one of those people who didn't see the need for a foundation brush; I've always made sure I my hands were clean and applied with my fingers. But this works so fast, blends perfectly, and just makes my foundation, BB Cream, or tinted moisturizer go further and look better. I definitely don't use more product than I did before, but get much better results. It cleans quickly, too, and stays soft & fluffy. Truly a must have.

Fabulous Buy
-05.16.13
I really like this brush. I use it with Laura Mercier mineral powder foundation and it goes on perfectly. Feels and looks like second skin. This brush distributes my makeup to make it look flawless. One of my favorite purchases in a long time. Worth every penny!

Ladies! If you buy the Naked skin weightless foundation, DO NOT HESITATE buying this brush. If you buy the foundation and complain, thats you're own fault for not reading or listening to any of the beauty consultants in the store. It REALLY makes a difference on the application of the foundation especially with the buffing technique.

Worth the Hype!

I had heard good things about this brush, and so far so good in my opinion. Bristles are very soft, and works well for my mineral foundation application. I'll try it with liquid foundation also, and anticipate that it will work just as well. Good product.

What's the big deal?
-05.07.13
Quick Take: synthetic hair
I ordered this brush after reading all the amazing reviews, but after using this brush for over a week I just don't see it. The quality is okay and will get the job done, but there are far better foundation brushes out there. I definitely recommend purchasing Sephora's Pro Flawless Airbrush #56 over this. It costs $7 more than UD's brush, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Also, I clean my brushes regularly and when I cleaned the UD brush, the bristles were nothing like they were when I first took the brush out of the package. On a positive note, it has a nice heavy/sturdy weight to it, but that’s about it.

Not worth the hype
-05.06.13
Quick Take: synthetic hair, soft bristles
On young skin, if you don't blend out well, it still looks streaky. It gave me a natural finish with the amount of product I would use for full coverage. If you want full coverage, this isn't the brush for you. This would be a better powder brush or a cheek contour brush. The biggest disappointment was lots of fall out on the first use!

I haven't found anything super special about the brush. It is nice, and it was a reasonable price. The optical blur technique??? I'm not sure about that. But, I do recommend it!

Great Buffing Brush
-04.29.13
Quick Take: soft bristles, great for buffing application
Bought this to use with the Hourglass Illume Cream-to-Powder Bronzer, and it's perfect, as cream-to-powder applies best in a buffing motion. I don't treat my brushes very nice, and this one hasn't lost a single brush hair. Will buy again if this one ever dies!

Decent for the price
-04.28.13
Quick Take: synthetic hair
I've been using this brush to put on tinted moisturizer and/or BB cream. It really does work well for blending it in around the jaw line so you don't have that weird "two tone" face. It is synthetic hair but it is very soft. I haven't had any bristles fall out yet. It does hold a lot of makeup so I've had to wash it a few times already in the short period of time that I've owned it. For the price, it's definitely worth it.

I didn't know if I wanted to add yet another brush to my collection, but I am glad I did! I use it with a cream to powder foundation, and it works really well. Very soft brush and I have not noticed any hairs fall out. Makes my makeup look very natural and helps it go on evenly. Worth every penny!

Wow, I was debating whether I really needed yet another brush for my makeup area, but I trusted that it may be a good idea and I've been thrilled with the real results. It's soft and luxurious and truly does do some magical blurring - very flattering...I love this brush!

great brush
-04.24.13
I was looking for a new fluffy powder brush, but when I saw all the rave reviews on this brush I had to try it. Up until now I have never used a brush for foundation, but I love it!! It gives your skin such a nice finish. Seems like makeup melts into your skin rather than sitting on top. I love it!
