Quick Take: long lasting, brown no sign of orange
This is an amazing lotion. I can't believe the fantastic glow my skin has! I look like I have a natural tan and that's difficult for someone as pale as I am to achieve.
The color is truly brown and not orange. The result is better than anything I tried before. I like that it doesn't dye your skin like other types of tanners. It washes off easily.
There are two negatives:
- slight staining of my fingertips, even after vigorous washing
-time-consuming to apply evenly (I had to work to acheive perfectly even skin color... it helped to use a moisturizer over top to even it out)

These negatives don't reduce the number of stars this product gets because the results are so fantastic and unlike anything I've tried before! I am so happy to find this product to get through the winter months when typically I'd look like ghost. You won't regret buying this if you're looker to get some color in your face.

This is my can't-live-without product! I REALLY hope St. Tropez makes this a permanent item in their line. It gives an amazing, natural looking "glow". I used this all summer to compliment my tan and am now using it into Fall/Winter. I have found that if you have decent skin, this looks amazing in place of foundation and paired with a bit of bright blush (like Tarte Natural Beauty). This gives the best glow and color out of any others I have tried. LOVE it!

Quick Take: long lasting
This works great for my fair skin with yellow undertone. The formula is super light and applies smoothly, which you can apply in multiple layers for a deeper intensity without any heavy build-up feeling. I found that the tint tends to stay on my skin the day after, so I apply this every other day. I really love the temporary, yet healthy color on my skin.

Quick Take: long lasting, subtle, fool-proof, dries quickly
What an amazing product! I love how subtle the results are. I love that it doesn't stink! I love that it's virtually fool-proof since I'm not too careful about applying this, just making sure I blend after moisturizing, and there are no streaks! There is no gross shimmer or sparkly nonsense. Just a hint of sun-kissed glow. Never discontinue this product, St Tropez! Will buy forever.

Quick Take: easy to use, fast acting, great color, minor break out
I broke out after using it. Don't get me wrong-- this product does everything it says it will do! I couldn't believe just how fast it added color to my very pale face without turning me orange or looking "over done". I LOVED the color! Unfortunately I experienced a minor break out after use. Nothing horrible, and nothing so bad that I wouldn't use it again. And the break out is the only reason I gave this a 4 star rating. Otherwise this product does everything it says it will and if you're lucky enough to have "normal" skin that doesn't break out every time you use a new product, you're gonna LOVE this too! Promise!

I hope they decide to make this forever!! I love St Tropez and this is such a great product. I was looking for a gel bronzer, because my skin is dry and found this. It was cheap and a great color. A little goes a long way, and it doesn't make you shiny. A lot comes out of the tube right away so be careful, the first time I used it - it went everywhere!
I have dry skin but I am acne prone sometimes and this doesn't break me out.

Beautiful, brown toned bronzer.

I really love this facial bronzer. The color gives your face a beautiful sun kissed look in a wonderful brown tone. It's not at all orange the way some bronzers are.
My face never tans as dark as my body and this bronzer helps even out my glow. It's so easy to use but you do need to clean your hands with soap and water after applying.
I also hope this will become a permanent product. After two uses I went back to the store to grab another before it's gone.

Quick Take: long lasting, believable bronze, lightweight
I hope they decide to make it permanent as I am utterly in love with it. What this is is an instant self tanner/bronzer for the face. It is not meant to develop into a semi-permanent tan, like their mousse, for example; iIt is meant to be a washable tan, much like a bronzing powder, but more natural looking and skin-like. I apply it after my moisturizer or sunscreen, adding layers should I choose to go darker (I don't wear foundation, tinted moisturizer, or BB cream, so I can not attest to how it should be applied or how it feels with these products). It doesn't feel heavy on the skin; in fact, it feels like nothing (I have normal to combo skin in the summer). It lasts all day through sweating and leaves the skin a truly believable bronze colour. I dare say I might even love this more than using the mousse for my face as I do not have to wait for the tan to develop. I'm going to hoard this stuff and hopefully St. Tropez will get the message.

Loved the color (NOT orange) but for my combination skin, it made me break out the very next day. I do find that it looks great on top of other self tanners to even out tricky spots on the body. So, good for body...bad for face.

I was given this as a birthday gift from a friend who knows that I am an avid sunworshipper.. Yes, I know it's stupid but I love the beach, I've always lived by a beach and the sun just relaxes me and I love how I look with a tan. Well, my friend thought this would be a healthier way to go and I must say I love it. No, it's not a self tanner so it does wash of but when it's on it gives your face a beautiful healty tan glow. When I first saw how dark it was I was a little unsure, but when I put it on it just blended in beautifully with my skin and it was awesome. It gave me a beautiful color.. You can actually just use that and a little bronzer, but I was going to work so I added tinted moisturizer and bronzer. Well, it looked great! I wish it stayed on permanently like permanent eyeliner or mascara or whatever some of these procedures are.

Omg...if you apply this with your moisturizer, over your face, shoulders chest....it looks as if you have a gorgeous tan.
I have olive/med. skin and I used this everywhere.
Everyone thought I went on vacation....and it doesn't come off until you wash it off

I really like the St. Tropez products and this face lotion gives a nice glow to your face. It's hard to find a face product that isn't orange or too dark when applied. I also like the fact that it comes right off when you wash your face so if you do tend to over apply, it's easily removable (rather than stainable).

Good, but makes my face shiny

I purchased this in conjunction with the St. Tropez foam tanner for the body, as I didn't want to use the foam on my face. When I first popped the cap on this, the color really scared me, as it was an extremely dark brown. Don't worry; the lotion blends really well, but you have to blend somewhat quickly because it dries fast. Don't be afraid to apply all over your face, including your upper lip area to get a more natural looking, even tan. Once I applied my normal make-up routine, it looked great and received compliments about my "glow." One thing that I did notice right away after using this for a few days in a row was that around mid-day, my face would get super shiny and oily, and I would have to go to the bathroom and blot my face several times in the afternoon. Once I started using an oil-absorbing cream as a base for the tanning lotion, that problem went away. It's a really fun product for summer if you want to stay out of the heat but still look tan. Just remember to either prime your face with some sort of oil-absorbing cream, or pack oil-absorbing sheets with you in your purse.
