After having spent probably thousands of dollars over the last 25 years in search of an eyeliner pencil that won't make me look like I got punched in the eye by the end of the day, I have ended my search. It does fade a bit by the end of the day, but it does not smear. I wear contacts, have allergies and have oily skin, so this eyeliner is akin to a miracle for me. I got the luminous fig shade, which works well with my brown eyes and fair skin.

Overall this is a pretty good product. I'm not sure it's worth the money, though - I'm giving the similar Sephora Collection version a try before I decide. It's very pigmented, goes on very smoothly, and stays put all day. It's a little difficult to get the right line with such a chunky tip, and it's kind of hard to smudge for a softer line, even immediately after you apply.

Great liner to get that smoky look (see the online Sephora tutorial) in a foolproof way. I have it in dark for night and a beautiful brown for day. I am suddenly wondering why I have been sticking to a thin liner with this great product out there!

This eyeliner is so versatile, you can wear it thin and nonchalant or dark rich and sultry. It stays on all day and never budges. I have oily skin and usually eyeliner comes off rather quickly, but not this product from Smashbox!!! One word...AMAZING!

Absolutely beautiful color. I do have brown eyes, but this blue with my caramel skin has been commented on to be very eye-catching. If you like majestic blues, you've got one here!

I absolutely love this pencil. It stays on all day and looks fabulous. It has a little shimmer which is very pretty. Stays put until you take it off. Beautiful color for me: hazel eyes, light skin and blonde hair. Love this!!

this is my first review, I am over 50 have much experience in the cosmetic world. I still have oily skin at 57, I take very good care of my skin. I have bought this shadow liner now in two shades and will buy them all. This really stays on all day. i have very small eyelids and every thing gets into the crease after a few hours, but this stayed all day. I am a professional and work 12-14 hour days. Great product. But once placed you can not smudge it, so work fast.

Fig brings drama to the eyes. I have one lid that always smudges/fades eyeliner and this one did not stay put. However it still left a good color and works better than others I have tried.

Love this liner! Great color, great staying power...
I put it on around 5am and when I get home at
5pm it still looks freshly applied. It does dry quick
though so if you intend to smudge it you have to
work fast.

I loved the product itself ~ the liner stayed on wonderfully & didn't smudge.. .unfortunately, it does not sharpen well ~ it broke off halfway down & flaked away... it used itself up just with the sharpening & I felt like I was getting ripped off. Thankfully, Sephora is awesome & took it back, no questions asked. If Smashbox could make this into a self-propelling stick rather than a pencil, I'd snap it up in a minute!

This item is amazing. I was so sick of having to apply shadow on top or under my liner. THIS HAS BOTH. It is time saving and has a great smokey look to it. The brush at the bottom blends the liner nicely to give it a more smokey effect and make sure it doesnt look like a giant line on your face. And, its waterproof and stays on all day, even after a shower most of it remains on. The only isssues I have with this is I wish the liner itself wasnt so big/wide. Additionally, I find that it does not sit well on top of shadow because a) its hard to use that large of a tip on the top of the eye without covering the whole eye and b) it doesn't stick too well to the shadow im using (cream).

It really is like wearing a bit of eyeshadow! Except you don't have to go through the hassle of putting on eyeliner and eyeshadow separately :)
It goes on smoothly, and lasts all day! No smudges, running on skin, or fading!
I only have charcoal right now, but I'm thinking of investing in other colors as well :)

This liner really stays put. In fact, the Sephora sales person told me (and it is true) you have 10 seconds or less to move it if you need to. Stays put all day - at least 18 hours. I'm in my 50's and the glitter nature to this doesn't come out "glittery". Love the Luminous (Brown) shade and the Shimmering Ivy (soft black actually) shade! It really stays put even with bad watery eye allergies!

I have this shadow liner in Chrome and I am obsessed! I was looking for a good grey/slate eyeshadow for a smokey eye and this product does the trick. I would definitely recommend

The color pigment was great. There was some glitter in the eyeliner that I did not expect but it was okay. What I did not like and the reason I returned the liner is that it just did not stay put even with lid primer.

I have oily skin and so as a result, my eye makeup usually does not last a full work day. This Shadow Liner went on smoothly and best of all stayed on all day. The color was a vibrant and beautiful at 5 pm as it was when I put it on a 7 am.
