I try all products I can get my hands on. I am truly a product junky! I must say I LOVE this oil! I have seen a major difference! I actually put it on at night and sleep with it on throughout the night and rinse in the morning! Major difference in my hair!!!

Love this product! I have thick coarse hair that I blow dry and flat-iron into oblivion. This product makes my hair so silky and smooth. When I initially tried the product I was disappointed with the way it felt when first applied. It does not stay hot for long and actually makes your hair feel kinda dry. Don't be fooled because once you start to style you will see the huge difference it makes. I'm hooked now and use it once a week!

Long gone are the days of old - self heating! It's just plain relaxing. The only thing that would make this better would be a larger amount per tube, but silky smooth it does very well! SO happy to have found this hair therapy!

This product is just OK. I have very long hair and each vial contains more than enough to cover it. It does heat up upon contact with hair/water, although it isnt too hot. It smells pleasant and is easy to put on and wash off. After use, your hair feels really great, but I haven't noticed a lasting difference. I feel like it only works for THAT day and nothing more.

I used this once and I can already tell the difference!
My hair is very fine and very thin, and using a blow dryer and straightening/curling iron every day creates a lot of damage.
I just used half of one vial (my hair is shoulder-length so i saved the rest for my next usage). My hair feels so much softer and lighter! This was definitely worth the money!

I was looking forward to trying the hair oil because my hair was so dry and hard to comb through even after always using conditioner. I was very disappointed in this because it actually made my hair worse. I returned it.

This product is a life saver!!! My hair is very thick and wavy and EXTREMELY tangly. One tube was enough for my hair and 4 days later my hair is still so soft. It is 39 for 5 tubes and if I use one a week that's less than $5 a week for amazing silky hair that is tangle free!! I don't think I can live without this now!! I put it on my hair after washing and conditioning and left it on until I was done in the shower completely. Love love love!

This might sound weird but this product actually makes me hair dryer than when I use just my regular conditioner. I got my hair permed 2 months ago and it got very dry and brittle. I have been taking hair supplements and using deep conditioning hair mask . My hair got in a better condition for a couple weeks, it was softer and not weightless anymore until I used this hair treatment last night. I felt that there was something wrong right away after I towel dried my hair, it felt dry and coarse right away and today my hair is really dry and weightless. I didn't know how it was supposed to feel with this self-heating thing, I could only feel the warmth when I squeezed the oil onto my hands and that's it. It didn't feel warm on my hair at all. I had a high hope and was looking forward to using it but it just doesn't work for me. :(

Overall, I found the Josie Maran Argan Hot Oil Self-Heating Hair Treatment a disappointment and probably will not purchase it again. I really like the idea of the product (single dose ampules of nourishing hair oil that heat on contact). It saves time and mess and space and minimizes risk of injury (if you've ever tried to heat up an oil on the stove for an at-home hot oil treatment you'll know it can get dangerously hot very quickly). Unfortunately, this product falls a little short of expectations. 1. It didn't really heat up on my hair but in my hand and was only warm for about 15 seconds before cooling off again. By the time I'd worked it onto my head it was the same as putting regular, room temperature oil onto my scalp. So I wasn't able to reap the benefits of hot oil. 2. There is not much bang for your buck. There are only 5 doses in the box, which made the product overpriced in my opinion. 3. Although I like the argan oil itself (minimal smell, silky texture) I didn't find the results at all dramatic or any better than the average hair oil. It's worth a try but won't be earning a permanent place on my bathroom shelf.

I've used this twice now & love it (used 1/2 each time). Makes my hair more manageable with less frizz. I can't figure out the "self-seal" part, but used 1/2 with no problem. Certainly will repurchase.

Makes my coarse, very thick hair smooth without weighing it down or affecting my natural waves and body. It is expensive, but as I don't get my hair cut often, I don't mind the price. As a few other reviewers have mentioned, the one strange thing is my hair felt very rough after I rinsed the oil out, but this does not last. One vial was enough for my waist-length hair.

Really fun way to treat hair with high quality ingredients. Feels great, softens and smooths hair. The price is pretty much on par with any hair treatment type product available at sephora, so if it's a little pricey for you, use half a tube each time, or don't use weekly.
