Inspired by annual themes at Hermes, this fragrance is an olfactory stroll, in situ creation, in the footsteps of the in-house perfumer.Jardin sur le Toit features a little slice of nature perched on the rooftop of the building of the house of Hermes, 24 Faubourg Saint-Honore. A feast for the sense and the mind. A fragrance of light and delight, crunchy and cheerful.

Love the complexity, wish it lasted longer.

Quick Take: feminine, clean, complex, citrus, floral, spring
My older sister has been using Un Jardin sur le Nil, a beautifully complex fragrance that I just fell in love with. Of course, we can't really wear the same thing, so I went for le Toit- which is every bit as beautiful and complex. It is citrusy, floral, bright, springy, and mixes with my own scent/skin beautifully. I used to wear Gucci Eau de Parfum ii (for 6 years!!), I loved it for its complexity, how it mixed with my skin, and smelled like 'me.' However, since Gucci (in my opinion) has changed the formula, it's not nearly as strong and doesn't last long enough to really mix with me.
The reason I don't give it a 5 star review is that the same problem exists here from Gucci: It's not strong enough! I paid $125 for a bottle of perfume and I have to reapply it several times throughout the day for it to last? Good thing I love the scent so much.
Side note. I nearly purchased 'See by Chloe' and stood there debating, when a Sephora staff member helped me to decide. He said, one is the scent of a girl (Chloe), the other, a woman. NUFF SAID

Fresh and alluring

I love all these "Jardin" fragrances from Hermes. I always get tons of compliments on it. This one has an undercurrent of roses--a little like "Paris" by Yves St Laurent--but fresher, with more citrus and spice. It's lovely.

Quick Take: lovely but short-lived
This fragrance is just lovely...light and fresh and feminine. My only complaint is that it doesn't last as long as I'd like a $90 fragrance to last. It's nearly gone in about 4 hours, only traces of it remaining when the nose is pressed to the skin. At the end of a typical work day, or evening out there's nothing left.

Quick Take: potent, green
To say this scent is "green" would be an understatement. Originally, I was in love with this scent because of it's complexity and the fact it smelled nothing like anything I'd tried or worn before. However, the strong herbal and grass smells gave me a terrible migraine only two hours after applying it. I tried it once more and the same thing happened. Generally speaking, I'm not too sensitive to perfumes, so if you, or anyone you live with/work with/come within 6 feet of are sensitive, this definitely isn't for you.

Actually smelled this on a co-worker first and it was good enough to smell everyday I had to have some of my own. It has a clean fresh scent, but it's unique and noticeable and great to wear to work and events after. This is a difference from all other Hermes perfumes I've smelled of which I've never liked much.

Quick Take: fresh, lush
I'm a big perfume addict, but I can't think of anything I own that's similar to this. It's so different and unique. Almost... vegetal? Lots of fruits (I can definitely pinpoint the scent of pears) and some fresh florals. I can't adequately describe it, but it's almost exactly as the description says: a rooftop garden party. It's fantastic for spring or summer even, really refreshing. Always puts a smile on my face, my little daily indulgence. It's so lush.
It has pretty decent wear, although maybe not as strong as Jardin sur le Nil.

Quick Take: fresh and clean fragrance, great for spring/summer
I love this fragrance! It is definitely 'green' - smells like springtime, with grass, apples and pears coming to mind after I put it on. After it dries down a bit, I can smell a bit of floral. I love the fact that it is fresh and clean and smells like actual fruit and grasses, doesn't smell artificial . It also lasts quite a while on my skin. This is scent is one of my favorites!
