Hair to die fir treatment
-05.11.13
Quick Take: easy to use
I received the product pretty prompt, only 2 days. I tried the product right away and at first I didn't see much change. After 1wk of use I stated to see some volume and fullness. It's not a drastic difference but enough volume to work with. I would recommend this product for people with thin hair.

works for me
-03.12.13
Quick Take: good
This makes my hair stronger, shinier, and fuller looking. I used to have huge wads of hair fall out in the shower after conditioning my hair and now I have just a few strands. I'm on my second bottle and will definitely buy again. I would recommend this to anyone who's concerned about hair loss, especially age-related hair loss..

Review 2: completion of bottle
-03.09.13
I wrote a review of this product when I first purchased it, but wanted to update. First off, this lasted me a solid 2 months with twice a day, dropper full morning and night use. I took a few days here and there off. On those days my hair just didnt have the shine and volume I noticed when I was using this stuff. Also, it DID NOT make my hair oily in the least! Then again, I distributed a whole dropper full over my whole scalp, so only a few drops got on any one spot. Maybe this is why?? This made my hair look so much healthier and thicker. It definitely strengthened it, too. I'm definitely buying another bottle soon! I cannot say if it made my hair grow faster, but I DID have several people tell me my hair looked like it got longer really fast after I got it cut (I got it cut a week after I got this stuff, and my hair grew back the 2 inches and then some- I'd say 3 inches in 2 months). Try it! Worst case you return it if you hate it.

Not a miracle, but seems to be working
-02.08.13
Quick Take: easy to use
I have fine hair that has thinned out a bit at the hairline as I get older. I have been using this religiously for the last couple of months, and I do see some growth. I use a dropper-ful 1-2 times a day - I am on my second bottle, but the first one lasted a couple of months. I think the key is that this is a scalp treatment, not a styling tool. The fact that it comes with a dropper should tell you how much to use. So although it is expensive, it has been working for me (hence the purchase of the second bottle) and it lasts. LOVE the smell too, which helps motivate me to use it.

Hoped for the best
-01.15.13
Quick Take: easy to use
I had high hopes for this product, especially with the price. I bought this serum for use on my hair and eyebrows, which both have thinned over the last couple years. From Internet research, this was the go to product, but after using it twice a day on both spots, not only have I not seen any changes in growth, though its only been 2 weeks, but the bottle is 3/4 gone. I understand you must use a product for an extended period of time to see any results, but at $60+ a bottle, there is no way I'd continue to purchase every 2 weeks. Very disappointed customer :(

Instant Volume- Lasting Strength!
-01.12.13
Quick Take: easy to use, quick results, great smell, volume, strength
I was leery to try this stuff, as the price tag seemed a bit high, but I will continue buying it, because it definitely works!! It adds tons of volume, I have 90% less shedding (more strength) and I have more shine and bounce to my hair. Note: I put this on dry hair at the roots...rub it into my scalp...and I notice extra volume right away. When I put it in my hair damp, I don't notice as much volume. Strange, I know...also, I LOVE the smell...smells kind of botanical..a tad sultry...heavenly smell!

It really works
-01.07.13
I have sort of crazy proof that this serum works. I have a stupid cowlick in the middle of my forehead that previously I could brush out of the way and into my hairline but now the hair has been growing longer and is more noticeable. I've quit putting the serum in that area to solve that problem, but that was my concrete proof that it definitely will change your hair (for the better)

shinier hair
-01.01.13
I'm on my second bottle and haven't yet seen a difference in my ability to grow or retain hair. My hair, however, is shinier than it was before I began using the product. My hair was generally roughed up after sleeping, now I wake up with silky roots and healthier looking hair. Wish the shine would extend to the ends of my hair.

not worth the money
-12.31.12
Quick Take: too expensive
When I used this, it made my hair very greasy. You're supposed to use it every day, but how can you when it leaves you with greasy hair? It was very expensive, and although I would have liked to continue to use it to see if it really worked, the fact that it made my hair feel dirty just wasn't worth it for the money. So, I had to return it.

Oh no Peter Thomas Roth didn't...
-12.24.12
The packaging includes vague instructions for use. Are you supposed to use it sparingly? Only in trouble spots? Rub it in? What? I used it on my whole head for a month and nada - no thicker hair. I'd say put your money towards some vitamins rather than this product that stinks... For those who like the scent...call me crazy but I don't want my head smelling like lemon scented Pledge. Anyway...

I cannot wait for my stylist to see my results
-12.24.12
Quick Take: my saving grace
So you might be wondering if this product is right for you? I cannot answer that. I can tell you what this product has done for me. I am undergoing treatment for both post-cancer & thyroid issues - hair loss/discoloration/dryness - you name it... I'm dealing with it. I use many PTR products (Camu serum&moisturizer/anti-aging face wash/spf45 powder in the brush/TDF eyeliner/VZ-1000) I would look like the patients I sit in the doctors waiting room next to if it weren't for these products. This product has saved my hair/dignity - I still cry, mind you, because I still have a lot of pain, nauseau and ups&downs; but I also have a measure of what is my birthright - good skin/hair/a true smile. I will always use Peter Thomas Roth products. ~N

Disappointed
-12.13.12
Boo! I wanted to love this product, but it did not work out for me. It is a scalp treatment, but it is impossible to avoid getting some of the liquid on your hair. I found it to be viscuous, with a hair gel like consistency. In order to prevent my hair from being stiff and tacky where the product got on it, I had to comb through my hair. It was like combing out hair with a lot of hair gel applied, which caused my hair to pull out and break off, especially around my forehead where my hair is weak and damaged. It left a bit of a residue so that my hair was still hard to brush through in those areas by the end of the day. Also, applying twice a day causes a lot of build up if you don't shampoo every day. It got harder and harder to comb out the sticky sections where the product got on my hair if I didn't shampoo. I have bleached, wavy, very dry hair and because of the inability to apply this exclusively to my scalp caused so many issues that i was not able to tell if it actually did what it promised.

Hair Treatment

Quick Take: easy to use
I LOVE this product. I have waist length natural blonde, baby fine hair. I only us it once daily. Adds shine and very natural volume, not sticky nor does it weigh down your hair.
One of my favorite Roth items.

Amazing
-11.15.12
This is my second day of usage and already seen a big difference! My hair has been falling out due to stress, heat styling, products, etc. my front hair line "used" to be full and luscious. Now, sadly, it's kind of see through :( and fine. I have to admit I was very skeptical of buying this, but I am so delighted to say it was worth every penny. There are baby hairs growing in the spaces I have lost hair in the frontal hair line, there's a lot less hair loss. My hair is surprisingly denser, fuller, and "livelier" than it was. I've been having pretty consecutive great hair days. I place it next to my Estée Lauder advance night repair to remind myself to use it say and night. I'm going back to sephora this Friday to buy another bottle because I have that much faith in it. The trick not get that "oily, goopiness" is massaging it into the scalp/affected areas. Extremely happy. A MUST BUY

I love this stuff!!
-10.09.12
**Skip to the end for a summary....This is going to be long, but I am a hair stylist & I'm going to be really thorough! I am always "cautiously optimistic" when it comes to trying anything for hair growth. Not much out there works like it says it does. This product has been an exception in my experience! I have been growing out my hair for a few months now and it's growing faster than ever! I will admit I have also been taking the phytophanere supplements, getting regular trims according to the farmers almanac days for growth (check it out..it works!!) and trying to be more gentle on my hair. I used this product every morning & night, and I felt like I had soft, fluffy, shiny supermodel hair!
I used to have a small completely bald patch (like babys butt squeaky smooth) on my scalp in my lower crown area, it was there for a few months, and I had no idea it could ever grow back. About a week ago I noticed it was no longer bald, and I actually had a patch of about 2" hairs growing there!!
Once I finished up my first bottle I was trying to decide whether I wanted to pay another $58 (used to be $55!) and I went a few weeks before I ordered my second, and during that time my hair was super flat, dull, & just kind of "blah". I just started my 2nd bottle and my hair feels better already.
Soooooo to sum it up for you guys:
Pros-
-I went from handfuls of hair coming out in the shower to literally ONE STRAND OF HAIR in my comb after showering
-smells really good, not greasy or heavy
-actually gives your hair really good volume once it dries
-made my hair grow much faster than without it
-made my hair look & feel more thick, full, & shiny
-I believe it's what helped my bald spot grow back
-I felt like I had supermodel hair every time I used it!
Cons
-a little pricey
-apply 2x a day
-when you stop using it, your regular old hair will pale in comparison to the hair you had while using it
-you will be hooked for life
I tell all my clients about this product when they ask about my hair! I hope everyone has as great an experience with it as I did

Nice smelling hair goo...
-09.13.12
Have been using this product for about three weeks and have the following issues with it
1) There is nothing in the instructions about whether you are suppose to massage this product in or just let it sit there. The problem is that if you just let it sit there on your scalp you end up with a wet goo that makes your hair appear dirty. The consistency of this product is somewhat viscous and it does not absorb easily. When using it on the hair line it actually drips down your face.
2) This seems like a treatment for only small thinning patches of scalp not an all over treatment. If you use it as an all over treatment you basically run out of product in 4 applications. For that price for 4 applications it is rather expensive to say the least.
3) It has made no change to consistency, appearance or hair loss rate.
4) The dropper mechanism is somewhat pointless as one dropper full will only cover tiny area of the scalp. Seems like a squeeze bottle would have been a better dispenser for such a product.
In summation, I am going to finish the rest of the product but will not be repurchasing it. I guess one redeeming quality is as someone else mentioned, it smells good but that does not justify the price.
