I love love love this red lip stain! I don't typically like red lip stick because it doesn't really look hot on me but this lip stain has a blue undertone and it's amazing! It lasts the complete 14 hours.... I never needed to retouch!

I purchased this lipstick in Icon red and it instantly reminded me of the red in a rose petal. It is a matte finish which I do not mind because the color is stunning. It is much lighter than other continuous wear lipsticks I have tried. However, I dropped a star because it does rub off a tiny bit more at a time if you eat or drink compared to other brands.

I tried this at the store and I absolute it loved it so I went back and bought it.
This gloss stays longer than others and the color looks great I got the red and makes your lips look fuller and more attractive just like a magazine model :)
I recommend this product and is perfect for a nigh out.

Vibrant color but overly drying

I purchased these in Ballet and Muse. I really wanted to like these because of their beautiful matte vibrant color but they were incredibly over drying on my lips. If you looked at my lips up close about after 15 minutes they just looked super chapped. The color also kept coming off on my teeth! I ended up returning both :( Sorry Hourglass but this just didn't cut it...

It's a lipstick that actually stays on, for hours. It almost feels like it's going to be too dry, but fools you. It softens up....crazy but true. I love hourglass products. Love.

This is a very matte (which I like) lipstick, with pretty solid staying power. It's not terribly uncomfortable like some longwear lipsticks are. I used a brush to apply because of the color. Although I liked it, I ended up returning it because I thought the gloss had a deeper color, and I was willing to sacrifice a little of the matte-ness for a darker blue-red.

Icon is a Must

I purchased this in the color Icon because I own the lipstick and simply adore it. I was not disappointed with this liquid version! It is silky to apply and once dry, will stay on all day. I use the icon liner first all over my lips and then apply this. It is the most beautiful blue-based red that I own.

I purchased this on a bit of a whim thanks to the recommendation of a sales associate. It is the first truly red lipstick I've owned and I love the color (I'm fair with neutral undertones). Apply to dry, exfoliated lips for best wear. I don't find that it wears for 14 hours but does hold up better than anything else I've tried.

Pretty color but this doesn't stay moist unless you totally cake it on - then you're just wasting it.. It starts to crack after the first hour. I had primer on underneath and it still didn't work out for me. I had much better luck with Tarte enchanted lip tint.

Almost great - smeared all over though

I purchased this after I had spoke with Jessica Alba's makeup artist to see what lip color she chose for her Red Carpet look at the 2013 Golden Globes - she was in that beautiful coral gown with an orangey/coral lip. Turns out she used this Hourglass Liquid Lipstick in Riviera. Definitely a brighter orange than I was expecting, so I believe she must have manipulated in with liner.
After playing around with it at home the consistency worried me. I walked to work the next morning wearing this lip, and didn't realize until I got to work that I had BRIGHT ORANGE all over my face. I guess the wind had little strands of my hair that had touched my lip and then my face leaving orange on my face. So embarrassing. I was so shocked! I thought for sure this would wear more like a stain, or a long wearing lipstick, but definitely not. I had it on for 15 minutes before I even left my house, and within a 5 minute walk it was all over my face from a tiny bit of wind.
Before i returned it, I went into SEPHORA to ask their artist if I was putting it on right, and to make sure I had allowed enough time for it to dry, and she said she didn't know of any special instructions and that I should be okay just putting it straight on. Since that's all the reassurance I got, I decided to return. It's a shame, though, I thought I had for sure found my new favorite lipstick line!

Quick Take: a good long lasting liptick
I really like the way this lipstick stays on throughout the day without that drying feeling most other long lasting lipsticks do. The only complaint I have is the color. it is hard to choose a color from the online examples and I think next time I will get it at the store. The color I chose is too light.

My container leaked profusely, I have to constantly wipe the opening after every use. It dries inside, not the pleasant experience. The quality is overrated, if you put too much of a gloss to soften your lips, it becomes runny. Otherwise it's too dry. Would never buy it again, it belongs on a shelf of a drug store.

I REALLY loved this color, but the formula was terrible. It bled & traveled all over the place, and it was WAY too much maintenance. I ended up returning it & getting the Icon lipstick instead.
