I usually wear neutral colors but wanted to try something new and the color was amazing! The color lasted all day, even in high humidity. The color change made my eyes really stand out and this product is now my go-to shadow on the weekends.

This is the 1st KVD product I've bought, and I am so glad I did. I got "on the road", the brown, and I love the color shift as well as the eyeshadow blends easily with plenty of pigment. I like this one so much that I'll be purchasing the other three.

I already reviewed this once before, but having worn "On the Road" twice over the weekend, I feel the need to review again after getting numerous compliments. This is such a perfect shade of brown w/green - it does have the color shifting effect and looks great simply worn alone. I used a green eyeliner to emphasize the green and it worked very well. I might have to buy an extra shadow in this shade out of pure fear that it will be gone when I need a new one. It is the best shadow I own, both in quality/ease of application and overall color payoff. It is AMAZING!!!!

I love On the Road! I use it just in the creases during the day and it compliments my dark brown eyes perfectly. Although it is recommended to be used wet, I also apply it dry for a different look. If you're looking for something unique and fun, this is the way to go!

I bought this in the store and minutes afterwards I took a look and whoa the shadow was broken into tiny pieces! I hadn't dropped it or shaken it or knocked it against anything hard. I immediately returned it and now I'm not sure if I should trust this product. That's why only 2 stars. Does it break easily? Please tell me it doesn't and I just got a bad batch. The Kat Von D duo chrome eyeshadows are beautiful!

This eye shadow is amazing! I got Stockholm and love it! I applied it with the applicator damp and immediately noticed how this is different than other shadows. The immediate color changes made my eyes pop! Got to try other colors :)

OFF the Road

This gets 3-stars because of the quality. If I based on my satisfaction strictly in "On the Road",, I'd give it 1-star. "On the Road", was horrible. The color was totally muddy looking. I cannot determine if it was due to the color choice or if the entire Shadow Shifter would look as bad. The quality however is great. It goes on smooth, highly pigmented, does not crease and last all day! This gives to try other Kat Von D shadows but I'll be steering clear of the Shadow Shifter line!

Bought this at random as a little treat to myself after a particularly bad work week. I love all of Kat Von D's items because they actually flatter my skin tone really well, so I thought I'd give this a shot.
The box said something like "water-activated," so as soon as I got home I dabbed the spade in some water and brushed the shadow onto my lid. The result was decent. It was definitely brighter where more light would naturally hit.
A few days ago I thought to try it again with my "real" makeup brushes instead of that silly little spade and the results were phenomenal! It's difficult to convey in words what the final look is like, but it's akin to blending two totally different shades together. It's a little metallic-y but still smooth. I adore it. Never had a problem with it creasing, wearing off, or blending badly. Part of that is definitely because of the brushes I use, but also most definitely because this eyeshadow is good quality.
PS: Looks amazing on dark olive skin when worn with her Foiled Love lipstick in FYI~!

Devotion is great for green eyes

People may say purple and pink are great for green eyes, but they always make me look sick. This is a great warm metallic orange-gold. I use it in my everyday makeup for the office -- a light champagne all-over color and this along the lash line on the outside of my eyes. Even behind glasses, the rich pigment shows up very well, and lasts all day. Use on a damp applicator for really great coverage.

This is my favorite go-to eyeshadow. it can be subtle with just primer and still look cool as heck or more dramatic with a black base. I also love that you can just swipe across eyes quick and easily, unlike other eyeshadow looks which take more time and effort.

On the Road & Devotion are GORGEOUS . they have a real rock n roll / bad girl / metal chick feel when you wear them and the effects are outstanding. On the Road is brownish red with dusty blue shimmer, and Devotion is reddish orange with gold shimmer. Because the background color on each of these has a reddish hue it looks really sexy on pale skin because it makes it look a little sexy-bruised/dead-ish (lack of better word) and badass. and with the shimmer shade effects it is really eye-catching. i also bought the purple shade Love Letter. this one isnt as noteworthy in terms of uniqueness or shade shifting effects but its a decent purple shade and looks nice on. these 3 shades i mentioned look great with hazel eyes :)

This is my first Kat Von D purchase. I bought "on the road" and at first I had no idea what to do with the sponge applicator! So what I did was to first apply the shadow with a crease brush on my crease, then I wet the sponge applicator and swiped the shadow on my lid and it looked awesome! I how pigmented it is and the way it changes with different lighting. I will definitely buy more!

I first got this in 'On the Road" (brown with a green & purple shift) and use it with purple, green or brown eye pencil. I loved it so much that I bought another in 'Devotion' (a beautiful copper with a light brown to green shift). It would look gorgeous with any color liner. My eyes are brown and both colors are lovely .

I was expecting a lot and I was disappointed. The color is very nice however, I've yet to see it shade shift. I think it's a dream. Great color and it would look good on just about everyone. Not sure why the "paddles" need to be use. Not sanitary.

This stuff is Amazing, all packaged up and ready for purchase!
I have it in Devotion (copper) and it's gorgeous. It looks just like the package/KVD's picture shows, which isn't usually the case for makeup products.
Another winner from KVD's line! I can't wait to collect all the colors in her duo-chrome line.
