I was so excited to get these but was quickly dismayed after unrolling my hair. I have shoulder length straight fine hair, and my hair was so frizzy after removing the curlers. Frizz isn't usually a problem for me! I just hope this will fall out for me as quickly as others said it did for them. These are WORSE than normal hot rollers that I could get for about a quarter of the price. They also get very hot, and it's almost impossible not to burn yourself when using them.

Quick Take: good for farrah fawcett hair with long hair
I bought this set in Las Vegas and couldn't decide whether I wanted the long set or the short set. None of the sales associates in the whole store had used these or other hot rollers before. I prefer them to a curling iron because there is less damage. I have extremely long Asian hair down between my waist and past my breasts. I bought this set so I could do the Farrah Fawcett hair since the hair has to be wrapped up straight across the barrel to get that look. The short barrels wouldn't be able to heat up the whole hair shaft since I have so much hair. The problem is that the clips don't come as long as the barrel so my hairs will uncurl and fall out. I use dollar store clips instead which helps a little. For the look I am going for the design would be be better if there was an attached clip like a regular curling iron that would clip and hold my hair so that I could curl my hair up and then clip it down with the claws to secure while my hair sets. Instead on a daily basis I use these to get more of a Giselle beachy wave look by twisting and wrapping smaller sections of my hair around the barrel and then clipping my hair securely. For the Giselle look though the barrels do not need to be this long even though I have long thick black hair, I only use half the barrel so the short set would accomplish this better.
They heat up as fast as they claim which I am really pleased with and I have virtually no damage to my hair. All in all get the short set unless you have hair past your waist. Really wish I got the short set for travel and lighter weight. Long set is virtually useless.

The curls only last for 2-3 hours even when I applied the Living Proof Prime Style Extender. I have to curl in small sections since I have a lot of hair. The rollers do make my curls, bouncy and shiny considering that I have thick, damaged hair. Rollers do provide better results than my current curling iron but I was hoping my curls will hold up for several hours. I'm thinking of exchanging this product for the Sultra curling iron. Maybe Sultra will provide better results.

Quick Take: multi-purpose, time saving, heats quickly
My hair is stick straight, thin, but heavy. It takes a can of hairspray to hold a curl, and it falls out 10 minutes later. I got to try out the rollers and my hair had so much curl and bounce, it was really unbelievable. The curl lasted so long, I was able to wear my hair our that night, when I did the rollers at like 11am. In love with the rollers!!!!

I was so excited about this product. It was disappointing == no holding power. Curls are gone in 2-3 hours When I curl with my flat iron it lasts all day and into day two with an up-do. The curls themselves are mediocre- a little too small for today's larger flowing styles. This product might be ok for my Granny and her short fine hair.
