Big Disappointment

I bought these rollers with high expectations given the other reviews. I have long, thin, fine hair. The amount of curl these rollers provided was minimal (very slight waves) which fell out of my hair by lunch despite strong hold gel and freeze hair spray. Returned them the next day :(

Way too expensive for NOTHING

I tried this product 4 times and the curls do not last at all - even with using the B&B styling spray. PLUS the 12 curlers aren't enough for my hair - I don't see where the "new" ion warrents a high price - it only made my hair look dirty and oily and I do not have oily hair. I'll go back to my old 1970 hot rollers when I want a different type of curl. I have naturally curly/wavy hair - this product did nothing - waste of time/money.

I initially purchased these rollers in the smaller size... The smaller size, although it curled well, made my hair look different than I had anticipated. This particular size is fabulous! Curls hold, and the clips are really easy to use! Would highly recommend!

Improved but expensive

Improved over previous set: 1) base accepts 12 rollers (previously version could only heat 6 rollers at a time), 2) base now has on/off switch (previous had no switch), 3) electrical cord is longer, carrying case is still good and compact base makes it easy for travel. However, the temperature of the rollers seems to be not quite as hot as previous set - but they do heat up. Improvements still needed: 1) the clips work, but they do not hold the hair tight enough...(opening the clips to their max...and then clamping over the roller helps some...plus the little comfortable protrusions help hold the hair), 2) need an option for roller set larger in 'diameter'....not just length, 3) very expensive and the mineral (or whatever technology) is not well-described to justify a $150 price tag. However, all the rollers heated-up (the base worked consistently - which is far superior to the T3 rollers - I went through 3 sets of T3 rollers that would not consistently heat up). The Calista set is the best I could find in the marketplace as of today

Quick Take: time saving, heats quickly, lasting curls
I first bought the smaller 6 heating unit for travel. I love that it heats very quickly and compact. When I found the 12 heating unit, I was thrilled. I love the fact that I can heat up 12 rollers all at once and it's still compact for travel. I love these rollers so much that I use them everyday! I have straight shoulder length hair and live in Hawaii. Even with the high humidity, my hair stays curled all day. I do use a styling spray as well. I also use different clips - I found the ones that come with the rollers are too flimsy. I've been curling my hair for 30+ years so I have had many hot roller sets and this one is the best!
