Quick Take: smudgable, long wearing, fluid application
If you are looking for ease of application then this is the eyeliner for you. Never thought I would give up my Lancôme, but this is now my favorite.

Quick Take: long wearing, precise
Goes on smooth with a very fine line that you can fatten up if you want to be more dramatic. I am over 40 so it can be challenging to get a smooth line on eyelids that are less taut. And a heavy line, which may look dramatic and lovely on a younger woman (even in daytime), can look awful on a career professional. Unfortunately, if you can't get the line straight the first time, you try to correct, and correct, and correct, making it heavier each time. This liner does not have that problem. I love it.

love this company. pea green cool color . very fine line that drags the line thin on top or bottom of eyes. rich looking and it has stayed on my lids all day. will be buying more of liquid eye liner and from this company ..

...application is hindered by the soft brush. It makes it harder to control. I prefer the Stila or NARS brush.Also not as long wearing but it is easier to remove at the end of the day.

Quick Take: long wearing, easy to apply
I haven't tried a liquid liner in years. I could never get the perfect thin line I wanted. Finally tried the Nars one which I liked but gave this a try based on a lot of reviews. I'm happy to say this is by far my favorite! It goes on smoothly - no drag - and I can get a great thin line or a few more passes for a thicker look. It also stays on fairly well for hours. (Got the 001 Steel which is a charcoal gray with some shimmer.) [By the way, I did also get the YSL Eyeliner Noir thinking it'd be the same in Black - but it's not; the brush seems thicker and the liquid bleeds too easily. That went back.]

Great except for applicator!

Love everything about this liner - its fluidity, color, staying power. However, it's really difficult to apply smoothly and evenly because the wand is too long! Everyone knows you have to brace your fingers against your cheek or brow bones to apply, and it's too long - unless you have an incredibly steady hand! I have other liquid liners that are much shorter. While they may not have this lovely color, I save time needed for Q-tip repairs...

These eyeliners are the BEST on the planet!! YSL discontinued these a few years ago and I am SO glad they were brought back!! I have tried them ALL--and I do mean ALL eyeliners out there. The colors are superb and the brush is perfect!!

I tried several liners, liquid and gel, before I purchased this one mainly because of the nice thin brush. I love a good thin liner. This is my favorite product! I bought it in black. The liner goes on easily, has amazing staying power, does not flake or smudge. I use it everyday for work. I recently purchased the cream liner in Blue Black from YSL, and that one has awesome staying power too. Overall I am loving YSL eye products, definitely the best in the market. I have very oily lids and use primer, these products work best for me.

Finally Found One!

I finally found a liquid eyeliner with a brush that allows me to apply a thin line, a consistancy that goes on smoothly and lasts until I take it off at night, and normal colors - black/brown! Pricey - but worth it. I will order the brown soon. I love the black!
