Quick Take: dismal
The shadows are chalky, stiff, and hard to work with. I am very upset because I really wanted to like this palette. This is the first thing I have ordered from Illamasqua because I hate buying something I haven't seen in person. I hope this dismal product isnt' indicative of the other items they offer.

This palette was not at all what i expect from this brand. First off i thought that these were all powder...however the best color is a cream. I dont care for cream eyeshadows. The other colors are alright enough that i didnt return it but i also dont reach for this that often...

Gorgeous colors, ridiculous packaging

Taking into account the size of the actual shadows, this package could be about half the current size. The shape of the palette is cool, but the size is stupid and makes it cumbersome to put in a purse makeup bag. I will get over it though, because man these shadows are pretty. Especially Forgiveness, a chocolate plum color. I would buy Forgiveness on its own when I run out in this palette. I also like that the quad has a metallic cream shadow included. Nice variation in texture.

Gorgeous colors but staying power not the best

I have combination skin, but my eyelids can get pretty greasy by the end of the day. I love the various looks that you can use by combining the cream shadow with the powder ones in this palette, but the cream shadow contributes to the oil slick that are my eyes by the end of the day. It's to be expected, but I wish it had more staying power. I find myself not reaching for this when I know my makeup needs to stay put for 8+ hours.

Quick Take: blendable, rich colors, smooth finish
This palette comes with three richly pigmented powder shadows and one cream shadow. I love this palette for a more dramatic to evening look. The shadows are smooth and blends beautifully. My only wish is that there would have been a lighter wearable lid color to complete the palette. But if you're a beautyjunkie like me, you have other shadows that will work well with this palette. This is a quality product!

Quick Take: good value, travel size, a must-have
I got this palette after seeing it on the Illamaqua site and watching their tuitorial video which Ive linked from youtube below. Although i have alot of plum, brown and champagne color eyeshadows already, this palette is still unique enough for me to get because I do not have any cream eyeshadows like the one on top right in this palette nor do i have anything close to the bottom left shade which is a dusty rose color. These eyeshadows are all high quality, highly pigmented and long lasting. The palette and tuitorial were part of the generation q collection- geared towards us "older" ladies -Im 43 and want my makeup to be age appropriate and still be current. This palette is definitely good for ANY age tho so dont let that deter you if you are younger than me.

Quick Take: travel size, versatile
I'm a big fan of Illamasqua products but this is the first time I have tried their eye shadows. I'm impressed! The shade combination is amazing and versatile. The pigmentation (like all other Illamasqua products I've tried) is really great. I also like the texture of the shadows and I didn't have any problem with fallout from the dark shade, which was something I was concerned about.
I love that a cream shadow was included in the palette! It's great sheered out by itself, or as a base to intensify the color of the other shades.
I think this palette is worth the price and something I will get a lot of use out of!
