Product GOOD. Packaging BAD.
-05.08.13
Quick Take: creamy, moisturizing, long wearing, pigmented
The product itself is amazing! One of the best lipsticks I have ever tried! Pigmented, creamy and long lasting. However, the overly-gallant packaging tube has a major issue. I never liked Guerlain's heavy packaging, I think it's costly and unnecessary. But this one really has a problem: the tube is prone to getting stuck. You usually have to twist and pull the tube to get the wand out... and somewhere along the way, it does get over-worked. One other reviewer mentioned she couldn't close the tube after a few uses, this happened to me as well... TWICE. First time, the sales associate (not from Sephora) told me it was probably just a defective one, so we exchanged it. The second one worked fine for 2 weeks, then the same problem happened! Ugh!!! Luckily, I tinkered with it and found out that this is due to the tube not being adequately pulled out, which causes the screwing-back-on impossible.
If you find that you suddenly can't close it, just pull the tube a bit until you hear it click. Then try twisting the wand back on. Also, before purchasing this, I suggest you ask the sales associate to open-and-close it for you first before you purchase it. That way, you ensure that get a good one before buying it, as the packaging is prone to malfunction.
Hope this helps!

lovely product, more pigmented than most
-05.05.13
Quick Take: long wearing, great colors, very pigmented, a pleasure to wear, not drying, set-it-and-forget-it
I am fair-skinned, but have very pigmented lips, so have to steer away from most lip sheens or butters that are tinted, because usually, they have no real effect. I have the Rouge G L'Extrait in Paresse, and thought I'd give Orgeuil a try as well. The formula continues to be lovely, very long-lasting if you let it initially set. It's more of a red than a berry on me, and it is quite dark. You can of course blend it out to tone down the color, if you like -- on me, with the amount deposited by the applicator, it is quite startling. I don't think this is a color that is really for daytime, unless you're very dark-complected. I can imagine this would look fantastic as an everyday shade on African-Americans with medium-to-dark coloring. It's a red with bluish undertones, very rich-looking. I like it enough to keep it, mostly because the product (no matter what shade you choose) is so very durable and delightful. Has a distinct taste, so if that sort of thing bothers you, be aware.

Love this!
-01.18.13
Quick Take: creamy, long wearing
Got this in Avarice, such beautiful color and it stays and stays and stays even thru drinks and snacks. The price is quite scary, but it does worth every penny since it's so pigmented. You only need a little to cover your whole lips.

Amazing Lip Product!
-12.23.12
Quick Take: long wearing, creamy
I love this lip gloss so much! It has to be one of my absolute favorites! The color applies evenly and stays on throughout most of the day. It doesn't have a "heavy" feel like a lot of lip glosses and lipsticks have. This is fabulous product to buy and use!

Lasting Red
-12.14.12
Quick Take: long wearing
A beautifully balanced red in that it's not bright nor too dark. Color lasts for hours and stayed on during hot power yoga. Wish it was less expensive and came in a refillable packaging. It's a bit tricky to close.

Avarice color much darker than pictured
-11.29.12
Quick Take: non-drying, modern matte, comfortable on the lips, long lasting
I have Colere a vibrant coral/red, and Gormandie? a gorgeous bright but very wearable pink. This is my favorite modern matte formula running neck and neck with Armanis new Lip Maestro( # 503 is a must have pink/red). Rouge G feels great on the lips is non-drying, long lasting and fades evenly, no lip liner needed!

AMAZING
-11.27.12
Quick Take: long wearing, creamy, moisturizing
I LOVE everything about this lipstick. The colour is rich, bold, and long lasting. The finish is a perfect eggshell matter. It is absolutely feather light and feels like you aren't wearing lipstick at all. It doesn't dry your lips out. IT LASTS THROUGH EATING A MEAL!!! Like, actually legitimately holds coverage. I will never buy another lip colour again.

Colere and Orgueil
-10.18.12
Quick Take: long wearing, creamy, moisturizing
Best matte lipstick I have ever tried. It goes on liquid, obviously, but sets to a nice flat matte finish. The formula is very opaque and comfortably sits on your lips. It will transfer somewhat but tends to do so evenly, leaving you with a beautiful stain over time. Not to mention the loveliness of the colors. Orgueil is like Rouge G Gigolo in liquid form, and Colere is a bright, in-your-face coral warm red.

Paresse
-09.28.12
Quick Take: long wearing
Just tried my first Guerlain lipstick. I like the color but I find it somewhat drying. I will try it with some lip balm. The color does stay on my lips quite nicely but it feels fry after a few minutes. The packaging is lovely but heavy. Hopefully, one of my lip balms will change the dryness. It doesn't seem any different than my other matte lipsticks which cost far less.

terrific stuff
-09.17.12
Quick Take: plushy high-quality vivid
Pricey, but a real pleasure to use. Very pigmented; the lip tint stays put well, and is followed by a very natural-looking stain. If you're buying online without seeing in person, get one shade lighter than you think you need. It's extremely vivid. That being said, I have very pigmented lips, and the color Paresse leaves an absolutely perfectly pink stain on my that lasts hours. Ridiculously expensive, but delightful to use and hold in the hand. The quality of ingredients is evident, unimpeachable, and if you've never used Guerlain makeup products...a pleasant surprise. If you're a longtime fan...you won't feel let-down at all.

Mega Semi Permanent Color
-09.04.12
Quick Take: long wearing, opaque intense color, matte stain, non flaking
This lip product is more like a fabulous stain than either a lipstick or a gloss. The coverage is full and the color is stunning, but this product is matte when dry. It lasts for hours. Totally wonderful.

Colere and Avarice.
-08.30.12
Quick Take: creamy, moisturizing
I love every Guerlain product that I own, but I detest the packaging on this one. That aside, the colors were beautiful. Avarice was a little more brown than I was expecting but I topped it with a tiny spot of lip balm and that seemed to soften it. It is nearly impossible for me to get the tubes to close, it makes me afraid to use them.

Paresse and Avarice
-08.16.12
Quick Take: creamy, long-lasting
I love, love, love this formula. It's creamy and smooth and easy to apply with the doe-foot applicator, and one swipe is all you need for full color. It lasts a while--I have a hard time judging because nothing lasts on me, but I've talked to other people who swear it lasts for up to 8 hours, so I'm sure if you're not me it'll go the distance. It is *not* drying at all, although it's not *quite* moisturizing enough for me, but I don't find myself reaching for balm while I wear it.
Pros: Long-lasting, creamy formula, pigmented, and I personally love the classy packaging.
Cons: It's incredibly expensive and I'm not thrilled with the color selection--of the seven shades available, I only found two that suited me. I would possibly have bought more, but I just don't like the colors.
Paresse in particular is a lovely every day pink shade that I think will look good on a lot of people, and Avarice is a more muted brown-pink. I was a little surprised by how brown it is, but I think it works.
