I get compliments every time I wear this scent. I still have a good quarter of an ounce left in the small travel size bottle I initially purchased and I fully intend to upgrade to a larger size next time. It's not too sweet, a very woodsy, spicy, and elegant scent.

I really wanted to love it but my boyfriend told me i smell like an old lady. It doesn't smell at all like vanilla to me. I would smell it first before buying. Not recommended.

I bought this on the description alone even with a sample on the way because I didn't want to miss out on the vib 15%. I think its fabulous. I get the lime very distinctly on my skin, and then a creamy vanilla dry down. It reminds me of those creamsicles I used to get as a kid every summer!

Quick Take: outstanding, complex vanilla, sophisticated
I purchased this fragrance through the new Vanille Insensee discovery kit (you can find it here on Sephora). Another reviewer stated she could not smell the fragrance on herself, no matter how liberally she sprayed it. I had the same experience, however I had the bar of soap to give me the scent that I rapidly fell in love with. No matter, I was ready to send it straight back to Sephora when a strange thing happened. I sprayed myself with abandon and went to work. I couldn't smell it but 3 people told me they loved my perfume. One called me to her desk and said, "every time you walked by I could smell this amazing scent and it's driving me crazy! I have to know what it is!" Incredible statements. Now I have to keep it. My husband loves it too and just told me that even though I sprayed in on over 24 hours ago, he can still smell it. Even though I can't smell it on me, others can and they love it as much as I love the smell from the wonderful bar of soap.

I really wanted to love this frag. I could not smell it on me. I spritzed liberally, too.
It simply was just NOT THERE. And I am completely puzzled as the reviews here stated how it has great sillage and longevity.
So it is on its way back to Sephora, and I return to the hunt for a a citrusy vanilla scent that has longevity, sillage, and character.

This is the every first fragrance I've ever bought for myself, absolutely love it! I tried the tester in store and couldn't get it off my head and had to go back and grabbed it before I went home. The best part about this vanilla is that it's not very sweet, which I found very calming and reminds me of reading books - calming yet alerting, and addictive. I got a smaller bottle as a gift with my personal engravings on the leather case that came with it.

High Expectations

I did have high expectations for this fragrance. I have worn Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Abricot, and Pacifica's Island Vanilla and they are truly favorites. I was looking for another addition to my fragrance wardrobe. This fragrance is a lovely one. For me, however, the vanilla is overpowered by the spicy and citrus elements. It is not a fragrance light enough to wear to work. I will keep it and use it, but most probably will not repurchase.

I, too, got this as a sample in a birchbox and instantly fell in love. I purchased the full sized and wear it constantly. It's such a warm and creamy vanilla scent. And it lasts so much longer than any other perfume I own. I put it on before going out to a smokey bar and at the end of the night when my friend hugged me bye she said "why do you still smell amazing!" definitely put it on your skin though when you smell it. It does not smell the same sniffing the bottle as it does on the skin. It seems to get sweeter as it wears through the day.

I first got this sample in a Birchbox and I was instantly in love. I'm a diehard Chanel Coco Madamoiselle fan, but after smelling this, I knew I would be switching. At first it just seems like a simple vanilla, but as the scent wears, it turns into fresh, sexy, almost spicy tones. It lasts too. Just love it.
