while I agree with other reviewers that you have to be careful with bobbi brown palettes, since a lot of the colors are not that saturated, so they come out very muted on the eyes. However, i found the colors in this palette came out very nice. I do have fair skin, and this is not going to give you a super dark smoky eye, but the quad on the left gives you a really nice, shimmery, champagne colored eye, and the right quad will give you more of a smokey, purple eye. the only thing I was thrilled about is the blush. its not very pigmented, and its a little glittery. So you cant use it by itself- it can be used as a highlighter but it doesnt have enough color to be the perfect blush (NARS orgasm is a better alternative). I gave this 4 stars since it is a little expensive and the blush isnt great, but it would make a great gift, and its a nice edition to your makeup collection if you already have all your makeup staples

Quick Take: portable, overpriced, beautiful light shimmer, only shows up on fair skin, natural
If you have a darker skin this product will NOT work for you. It barely shows up on my fair skin. But I like natural looking makeup.
PRO: The colors are very pretty
CON: However not as pigmented on actual skin.
PRO: Very natural light eye shadows
CON: Can NOT be worn heavier.
PRO: Beautiful light shimmer.
CON: More shimmer than actual color.
PRO: Comes with matte colors also. Dark ones work better.
CON: White eye shadow barely shows up on skin.
PRO: Great portable attractive compact.
CON: Overpriced.
CON: However not as pigmented on actual skin.

I would recommend this palette only to very fair skinned people because otherwise I don't think the colors will show up. If you like natural easy blendable barely there eye shadow with light shimmer this is for you. This can NOT be worn heavier even if colors are layered.
I do think this product is overpriced. I would rather buy only the colors I like than the entire palette.
The colors I like are: The light golden shimmer on left quad. And pink shadow left quad. The matte brown right quad. The light purple shimmer right quad. And silver-ish color right quad. The "blush" is better used on eyes than on cheeks and it is a pretty pink and peach shimmer.

Quick Take: portable
I was so excited to get this set. I loved all the colors but when I tried them on it took many layers for the color to actually show up, and the blush had hardly any color just sparkle everywhere. I use it more as a highlighter for this reason, but the sparkles get all over when you apply it. I am very bummed this one didn't work out, especially after I paid $75!

Quick Take: portable
I received mine a couple of days ago and of course did the back of the hand tryout immediatly. Eeeww. So much sparkle that it floated all over the place. Today I used a couple of colors on my eyes. Had to apply several times, lack of pigmentation?? For the money, skip it.

The colors are pretty, but the description and image on the website give the impression that they are more pink than they really are. I was expecting pink tinged neutrals, but they are mostly just shades of beige or brown. The ballet sparkle blush is VERY sparkly. If you like glitter, this is for you. If I had been able to see this in the store, I would not have bought it for the price.
