Luscious Lips!

I was already familiar with the Korres mascara, so when I saw this nifty duo for a mere $10 at the checkout bins in the store, of course I had to try it. The lip butter is really nice - color is good, and stays for hours, even after the initial lip-gloss stickiness fades. The mascara is awesome, as always, and considering that the lip butter retails for $14 normally, it's a great deal if you can still find it!

I was very surprised at how much I loved the mascara in this duo. It's one of my first go-to mascaras when going through my makeup bag. It's very volumizing and doesn't clump up my lashes like so many other mascaras I've used. The lip butter is also nice, but takes a minute to get out of the tube and evenly on your lips because of how thick it is. However, the coral-ish color is perfect for my fair skin and it feels nice once you get it on. I highly recommend this. Korres is a wonderful brand.

Quick Take: great deal
I bought this on a whim (of course, because it's up by the registers) and I have been blown away by the mascara in this set. It's the best! I would love to repurchase a full tube, but most Sephoras don't carry Korres cosmetics. The lip butter is great, too. The consistency is thick, so I prefer the tub packaging that you apply with your fingers.

Good product, bad packaging

First, I want to say that I love Korres. Their lip butters and other products are great. However... When I opened the lip butter and tried to squeeze it out, it would not come out the designated hole. I kept massaging the product to loosen it up and squeezing...then I noticed the bottom of the tube had split open and I had a handful of lip butter. I was lucky to have an empty sample container sitting on my counter that I could scrape the product into. I very much like Korres lip butters. They are soft and make my lips feel good, especially now in winter when my lips are so dry. The mascara was a surprise. It worked very well and didn't smear. However, removing it was kind of messy. Took more effort than my regular mascara. It is not waterproof, but must require an oil based remover, because soap and water just made a mess (I looked like a raccoon!)

Lip butter is a let down

I haven't tried the mascara yet but the lip butter is nothing to cheer about. The product is thick and a very pretty coral color. It goes on smoothly, moistens your lips and makes them a little shiny like just applying a balm would. After about 20 minutes, the product dried out my lips and I had to put a lip balm over it to keep them from feeling like they may crack. The color faded fast but left a light stain of coral. This product does not last and leaves your lips a little dried out. Good product if you don't mind applying your own balm, butter or gloss.

Explosive is right, not in a good way!

This was to be a cute little stocking stuffer for my sister, except when she opened it, the lip gloss tube had somehow came unglued from the bottom and made a mess. When she tried to exchange or refund at a Sephora inside a JCP, she was told she couldnt. Now she's gonna have to either throw it away or send it back, which obviously she can't be bothered to do. Kind of surprised...usually customer svc is better. :(

Quick Take: handy, user-friendly, voluminous mascara, natural lip gloss
Having never tried Korres before, I bought this tiny set on a whim. The old proverb holds true, though--good things come in small packages! This is is now hands-down my favorite mascara. I keep this handy travel-size in my purse so that when I'm rushing out of the door for work, I can put it on in those few seconds that I have to clock in. The brush is lush with a lot of little hairs that catch all of my crazy curling eyelashes. It's a true black and I feel like my lashes stay curled and gorgeous all day. If you cry, it will run some, but it's definitely not waterproof. The lip gloss smells lovely, but doesn't taste overpowering. It has a nice light coral-y shade that I feel like would flatter most any skintone. It's an easy grab when you're going for a natural look.

The mascara came a little dry and clumps. It doesn't lengthen or really volumize, so there's really no point. The lip gloss was thick and I liked the color, but it was either dry or so think that when I tried to apply it, it blew out the bottom of the tube, ruining it.

Quick Take: good value, travel size, tiny but mighty
I love this set and for $10.00 you can't beat it. Great color from the lip product and I'm in love with this mascara. I sampled the mascara in the store and was in love. It is nice and dark, volumizing and it lengthens very well also. Very nice to have in my purse. Also I'm just so in love with this brand. Korres is one of my favorite brands Sephora carries. I will repurchase full size.

I got this at a great discount and oly bought it to complete the amount I needed to get the free shipping. I am glad I did. The lip gloss has a lovely amount of color that looks natural and lasts. It's consistency is creamy and smooth. I just love it and may have to go back and get some in other colors. Have yet to use the mascara which is now sitting in my travel bag waiting for the next trip.

Quick Take: not worth what i paid
Love the feel, wear and performance of the mascara. Korres products are great quality. As for the lip butter....the feel and consistency is great. The color is a more opaque bright coral that looks chalky on my pale skin. If the color was a bit more sheer and more wearable.
Unfortunately the lip butter fails this combo. I wn love.

I saw another review where the bottom split open and I decided to try it anyway. DUMB. The same thing happened to me, I squeezed it to get a little gloss out and BAM. Split bottom all over the place. I decided not to waste the gloss that had already gushed out and dabbed it on my lips. It was a little sticky and pretty convential as far as glosses go. Nothing super special. I returned it a few days later.

Quick Take: travel size
I had the same problem with the lip gloss that several other reviewers had. It squirted out of the bottom of the tube. I just put the tube in a snack size zip lock bag and use a lip brush to apply. The mascara was ok. Nothing special. I'm glad I only spent $10. That's about all it's worth.
