Comforting and moisturizing

Quick Take: delicious, aromatic, moisturizing
I like Philosophy products because they smell good and feel good on your skin. This flavor is my young son's favorite since he loves pancakes with syrup. Usually I have to force him to take a shower, but with this product he uses all the hot water. He loves it. I love the lip gloss as it really moisturizes my lips and keeps them soft and shiny.

Smells like a hot buttered rum

I love the way this smells. The body wash is wondeful. My whole bathroom smells good when I use this. The gloss is great. It smells like how a buttered rum lifesaver tastes. Makes you want to have a hot buttered rum.

Quick Take: good value
I love all things philosophy but this is just bad. The smell is great at first then on a second whiff and actual usage, all you can smell is BURNT rum. It literally smells like you burnt something very sweet in the oven. I can't believe all of the positive reviews on this. It just does not smell good.

Good shower gel - very economical since a little goes a loooong way. The scent lasts quite a bit too. Not very drying. Disappointed that the gloss dries my lips out over the course of a day (4 re-applications) but it's worth the scent. Very nice duo.

Soap is great, but lipgloss is awful!

I'd give the soap alone a 4.5. However, the lipgloss is a 1 star. It's terrible! It's sticky and it smells and tastes bad! not at all like how it's suppossed to smell. It has the smell of old molasses, and it actually made me feel ill.
The soap is great. It smells like hot buttered rum. Love it as a body wash (not as a shampoo... couldn't quite wash it all out of my hair and had a strange buttery aftersmell I wasn't so hot on).

I bought this for my sister-in-law for Christmas and it is DARLING! The box is lovely and what a steal for a lipgloss and 8oz body wash/shampoo/bubble bath! It smells AMAZING and the gloss has a very sheer, natural look! Amazing!

The gloss is lovely and sheer and would be fabulous over a matte lipstick. The set was a great value for the money but my rave is for the shower gel. The scent is light, reminds me of butterscotch candy. As with so many of the foodie scents, it rinses clean. After washing my hair with it, my hair was incredibly clean. A true winner!

I love Philosophy -- my roommates always commented that when I emerged from a shower, the house would smell like a bakery. Philosophy surpasses my expectations again! This smells like warm, buttery toffee. I smell no rum, but that's a plus for me. :)
The lipgloss, as with all of Phillosophy's other glosses, is a bit sticky and doesn't last particularly long. I'm not a fan -- I'll be honest, I purchased this set just for the body wash/shampoo.

Luscious and indulgent in smell (body wash) and taste (lip gloss). I was just a tad disappointed as I wanted to buy the body wash alone, and in a larger size. That being said, both products are lovely and I would purchase again.

This smells like a big plate of buttery, syrupy pancakes to me - luscious! If you like sweet scents, you'll love this. The shower gel is moisturizing and the lip gloss is as well.

This scent is truly luscious. It is a very strong hot buttered smell. It is a pleasure to use. Haven't tried the lip shine yet, but I love this scent. Feel free to go to the store and rub a little on your arm. A sure winner for Philosophy!
