I bought this trio as a "thank you" gift for a friend. It is a wonderful value and introduces you to the product without committing to full sizes before diving in at a higher price. Perfect for traveling.

Great Intro to B+B!

Quick Take: good value
I've been loyal to another brand for my color treated hair for a decade but decided to give Bumble and Bumble a chance after falling in love with the Thickening Hairspray. This "Be Color Minded Kit" is a great intro to the line- and will be great for travel down the line. The 2oz size is enough product to see if it'll work for you. My hair is colored red- which everyone knows fades quickly. This set has extended my color by an extra week compared to what I'm used to. Love it!

I love b&b styling products -so decided to explore the colorminded shampoo and conditioner. This is a great buy and value for the money. that said, the results aren't anything spectacular (for blonde hair). Im not sure i will buy the full sized versions of these products because they simply aren't worth the price.

Finally Soft and Shiny Hair in the dry winter

I have color treated aging hair that needs lots of moisture during the winter months so it does not look or feel like straw. I have used shampoo's designed for color treated hair for years but they all seem to fail me during the cold winter months when the dry inside heat does a number on my hair. Bumble and Bumble cleans my hair and leaves it wonderfully soft and ooh so shiny. In the past three weeks since I started using this shampoo I have actually gotten multiple comments about how shiny and healthy my hair looks. Thumbs up to Bumble and Bumble! I normally wash my hair every other day and I find I can still keep to that schedule with Bumble and Bumble. The styling cream is also nice. It does create some body (nothing over the top) and does not weigh my hair down. I am definitely coming back for the full size of these products.

Quick Take: nice trial sized for travel, 2 were great
The shampoo & conditioner were 4-5 star & I would purchase again! Now the styling gel was a 2. I have slightly dry colored hair that isn't thick nor too terribly thin. The styling gel made my hAir weird ( kinda greasy but yet tacky). This would probably be more like a wax styling aide. I just didn't work for my hair at all.

Quick Take: awesome!
My hair absolutely loved this combo right here and I am pretty picky with what I put in and use on my hair. I have very fine hair but lots of it and it takes a long time to dry and my hair dried so fast with this. Also, I get static hair easily because it is so fine and I didn't with this!

I have fine curly hair and find the B&B products to be too heavy/greasy for my hair. They always weigh it down and make it feel greasy on the second day (I wash every other day).

Good products, but kit not worth the money

Quick Take: good for colored hair
I kind of regret spending $28 + tax on this kit. I was in desperate need of shampoo & conditioner for my colored hair (I color it a red shade; red fades VERY quickly) and decided to try the B&B after reading positive reviews. I've ended up really liking the shampoo and conditioner - they keep my hair soft and shiny and it seems to hold volume better after styling. However, I'd probably never use the styling balm unless I was going to the beach and wanted the SPF for my color. The balm was a little to heavy for me for everyday styling and left my hair feeling coarse. So for only liking 2 out of 3 products and getting very small bottles of those, I would've rather spent the $28 on one full-size bottle instead.

Terrible product from a terrible brand

I get a keratin smoothing treatment done to my hair and with it, so I cannot use shampoos containing sulfates. This is the only reason I tried this product (tried a different kind of this brand years ago and was also very disappointed). After only one use, my hair felt full, not smooth, and as though it stripped out my keratin treatment entirely. It has been 8 days since I tried this and oin the last day or two has it started to feel normal again!

Quick Take: fragrant, high quality, true to purpose for color
I really like this shampoo & conditioner and already bought the full size immediately after testing out the trial. It smells lovely, improves my color noticeably, and you don't need much of it to work it into a nice cleanse for the hair & scalp (it still lathers even w/out SLSs). I'm blonde, so that may be one of the reasons why I liked the effects on my color so much.

I honestly love B&B and usually they do no wrong in my eyes but I feel their colour shampoo fades my colour faster. I don't know why...it seems like when I wash with this my colour is in my lather. I love the conditioner although for my short hair I have to be careful because it's really heavy. I worship the styling balm and it's the reason I bought the kit. I went back to using Gentle Shampoo because it never ever fades my do.

Okay gift set but price not appealling

I used B&B back in the day when I first starting using sulfate free products but switched to a more humanely tested line that happened to cost quite a bit less. (B&B has since improved their testing.)
I've given some samples of the line to my niece and she has liked it better than other sulfate-free products I've given her (she swears they feel different) so I got her this set for Christmas. I know their stuff isn't cheap but even at a $7 "savings," the package looked pretty puny in the store and the first time I saw it, I put it back on the shelf.
Because I'm a really good aunt (!) and I know it will make her happy, I gritted my teeth and purchased it during the VIB sale. I'm not cheap by any means but I do wish this set were a little less expensive. Given that the styling product is normally used (and sold) in smaller quantities than the other two items, it would have made the package more attractive to me if they had included a smaller bottle of it and dropped the price a bit.
I don't have any problems with the product, but knowing I can get equivalent (frequently better sourced) products for less money has really lessened its attractiveness to me. I would never buy this for myself these days; there are better options.

My hair is color treated and I am out in the sun quite a bit. This not only protects my color, but protects my hair from sun damage. The condition has somewhat of a chemical smell sometimes, but it is great stuff.

Quick Take: not worth the $$$
I was excited to try this because I LOVE the volumizing shampoo/conditioner but always used sparingly because my colorist did not recommend that product for color-treated hair : my color is WAY too expensive to mess with...this product pair is no where as fabulous as the aforementioned...no extra volume and it doesn't smell or feel particularly fabulous...so I give it a C+ and I will stick with the big brother and sister!

i got a sample of the shampoo when bumble was doing an event in sephora soho, i love it. i have bought pieces of the whole range now and the balm makes my hair very smooth and soft - i have fine hair, but my fiance uses it as well, who has thicker/curly hair and we both love it, even thought he doesnt color his hair. i think its a great more "natural" formula that can work on anyone who wants to preserve their hair as well as possible. also, i have no idea what the smell is, but its divine.
