I have combo skin with oily T zone and suffer from regular mild to moderate adult acne as well as large pores on my nose. When I went to the Origins counter, I opted for the gel-based treatment version of this product rather than the moisturizer version fearing the moisturizer would add further shine to my T zone. So far, this treatment has not disappointed. It hydrates my skin so well after just one application in the morning it has dramatically reduced my breakouts and improved the texture of my skin with a brighter complexion and less visible pores over the last 3 weeks. It is truly an amazing product. For those of you whose breakout stems from over drying your face with ace products leading to sebum over production and more acne formation, this may help stop that vicious cycle for you and lead your skin to a better place it ought to have been a long long time ago. Highly recommend!

Well, I had high hopes for the Origins Make a Difference Plus + cream. But ladies, be warned, there are 6, yes 6 different oils in this product!! Yikes! If your are looking for a lightweight day cream, this is not the product for you. If your skin, however, is as dry as the Sahara then you will love this. Just love it. This might work for me in the winter...definitely not in the summer. Love the packaging, nice fresh smell, love the natural element. I just didn't research well enough, it is for DRY dehydrated skin...not combination oily. I am transitioning this to an intensive moisturizer to the back of my hands before the bed!

I had read great reviews on sephora and from beauty blogs but this broke me out.. I seem to have issues with Origin products always breaking out.. I don't know what it is but nothing seems to work for me from their line.

My favorite Origins moisturizers

This moisturizer was reformulated about a year ago. Just so there is no confusion, there are actually 3 different types of Make a Difference Plus (there used to be only 2 options in the USA): Treatment (combo/oily), moisturizer (combo/dry) and Cream (dry/very dry). My review is for the treatment designed for combo/oily skin.
I love this moisturizer. I love the way it feels, I love the way it smells, I love the way it absorbs into my skin without leaving a greasy residue. It leaves my skin prepped for whatever I'm going to do to it next. I love that it layers well with serums and sun protection and it plays nice with make-up. It is a lovely product and it keeps my combo skin in check. I actually started using this product when I was having dryness around my nose and mouth and excessive oiliness in my t-zone and hormonal acne around my chin. I am happy to report that my skin is now at equilibrium.
I love skincare and I will always be out there trying new things but this is definitely the moisturizer I always go back to/keep as back-up.

The product is a great moisturizer. It does not leave my face feeling greasy. I have very sensitive and dry skin and this product has not caused any further breakouts and it keeps my face hydrated all day. I would definitely recommend this product!

Great product, bad smell

Quick Take: moisturizing, non-greasy, doesn't smell great, natural
I love this product: it has the perfect texture of really moisturizing my skin without being super greasy. I use a straight up sunscreen in the morning and love this for the nighttime. The only con I can think of is I am not very fond of the scent. I suppose that is the cost of using a natural product.

Purchased after having bought and loved the origins night a mins cream. This has a light and refreshing scent and dries quickly. Having moved from a humid to dry climate my skin really needed an extra moisture boost and this has really helped keep my skin hydrated without causing breakouts or a greasy feeling. I apply this under my hydrating makeup primer and it feels hydrated all day.

Good, but use sparingly for oily skin

Quick Take: hydrating natural gentle
I really enjoy the texture and fragrance of this product. It is very hydrating and leaves the skin feeling incredibly smooth. I have oily skin, but wanted a hydrating treatment to help with speed up the process of fading some of my acne scars. I've found that I only need to use a little bit of this; if I use a lot, it just exacerbates my oiliness. I've only been using it for about three weeks and my skin feels very hydrated. Gals and guys with oily skin, get this if your skin is dehydrated but use sparingly!

Quick Take: lightweight
I went into Origins to actually get the Mega Mushroom cleanser and instead got trapped by one of the very anxious-to-be-helpful, clingy salespeople and talked into trying the line that this belongs to. It does smell really, really good - one of the reasons I got talked into buying it - and after it absorbs it does make my skin feel really soft and supple. I almost can't help but touch my face kind of soft. It is lightweight and doesn't feel heavy. And it smells really good.
The cons: it takes a couple of minutes to absorb into MY skin (which I guess is different than others here) and it doesn't quite moisturise my cheeks enough, as I'm often left with flaky patches. Another fingerful of the gel-creme will make them go away, but this stuff is pretty pricey, and I don't like having to make another pass to do what it should do in one. Also, I'd really prefer a pump as the jar packaging isn't very hygienic. Still, you can see how much you have left.
But it smells really good and it does work pretty well on most parts of my face. My forehead (with fringe) is the only part that usually gets greasy during the day.

This is my absolute favorite moisturizing product! I have really sensitive skin and will break out easily will most moisturizers. This gives me amazing hydration, never leaves my skin dry, and I never break out. I use it before I apply my primer, and it dries very quickly in between.

I love this moisturizer. I have combination oily and dry skin so this moisturizer is just perfect for my skin. Because it is oil-free it is very lightweight and absorbs quickly. But, it also greatly hydrates my skin. I use this in the morning and use Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins™ Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream at night. I definitely recommend this product.

Truly repairs dry skin

I am in my early forties and for the past few years, my skin has become very dry, to the point that it flakes despite how much I moisturized. I have tried every product on each end of the pricing spectrum and nothing delivered what I truly needed - skin hydration/repair. However, I decided to give this product a try, after comparing the ingredients to what the Mayo clinic recommends for dry skin. I am so glad I did. Not only is my skin hydrated, but it feels so much softer to the touch and looks smoother. I suffer from allergies which further complicated my dry skin in the past, but this product has turned things around for me, regardless of allergies or dry/humid weather conditions. I will definitely re-purchase!

I've been looking for a night cream that is oil free. Seems like most night creams have oil in them to keep hydrated, but this gel formula does the trick without the oil. Smell is a little medicinal but still fresh. I would consider trying the Clinique Moisture Surge gel to see how it compares if they offered a sample of that, since it's a little cheaper. But I love this stuff!

I have used Origins products for 10+ years. Having sensitive skin it is the only product I've found that is continually comparable with my skin. With this moisturizer a little goes a long way. I am not a makeup/beauty product person. My daily routine is Origina Checks and Balances face wash, this moisturizer and Chapstick. I am always told how beautiful my skin is, and I thank Origins products for that!
