The nude pulls really orange on me

I had no choice but to buy one of these because my name is also Monica but the nude I selected pulled really orange on me. I suspect it's better for warm-toned skin. I will say the wear time was great and I love the packaging.

Just a luscious, moisturizing lipstick. My only grief would be that the lipstick really requires lip liner as it is very prone to feathering, primarily at the corners of the mouth (like you've messily eaten a lot of strawberries). The color is a beautiful orange-based tomato red that is otherwise comfortable and lovely.

Amazing lipstick product

I have wanted this lipstick for so long and I finally purchased it! It is everything I could ever want in a lipstick: love the color, the pigmentation is incredible, the formula is ultra creamy so there is no need to apply a lip balm prior to wearing this amazing lipstick product. Even when the color wares down it leaves a fantastic stain. LOVE IT!!!

FINALLY THE PERFECT RED LIPSTICK! I have bought and tried all possible lippies there is. This is like no other. Reminds me of Italy in a lippie tube! it's sexy, radiant and highly pigmented color makes it a fashion staple in any woman's makeup chest. Easily applies with one stroke and the color is instantly visible. it does have a fragrant smell that reminds me of my moms lippies back in the 80s. But despite that I absolutely recommend 140 Attractive Monica... must stock up just in case.Only Lippie I use with pride and joy! Buy it and channel that inner Italian goddess...

Quick Take: moist but not too slick, long lasting
Love this color! I have dark hair, medium skin tone and many "natural" nudes looks bland on me. Not so here. I used the D&G lipliner with this for definition.

I loved the color so I though I would try Dolce Cabbana lipstick. I loved it. I have a retro band and the color was just perfect for me. Feels great on my lips , soft and creamy. Love, Love. I will conitnue purchasing the Dolce Cabbana Lipstick.

Perfect Red Shade - Has a Stain Effect

I am on the prowl for the perfect red. I've tried about a dozen this year, and most, even the ones called "true" reds, turn pink on my lips. I purchased this lipstick in Monica 160, which is called a warm red. I was worried it would be brick toned, but it was a beautiful tomato red. No purple undertones like cherry, no pink undertones, no orange undertones: just a perfect ripe tomato red on my lips.
I applied balm first, then the lipstick, and then blotted. This was where my first surprise hit - it didn't blot! The rich, deep coverage had already set like a stain on my lips. As a result, this made it a lot harder to work with, because the "stain" settled on any dry patches, and around the edge of the lips, like a lip liner. It took about 10 minutes of careful application with a brush, blotting, and reapplying many times. I was very pleased with the end result.
If you are looking for a "true" red, I really recommend this shade. I'm not a fan of the stain, because it makes it hard to tone down the color once it's on. And as with most dark, rich, bright shades, be prepared to put in a lot of time and work to get it to look right! The rich coverage of this lipstick is definitely not a "one swipe out the door" kind of coverage!

Quick Take: creamy
I wanted to love this lipstick. However, It was nothing special. I ended up returning it as the color was too light for my skin tone. It is creamy and moisturizing, but so are many other expensive high end brands of lipstick. Had to make a special trip to the store, as all Sephora locations do not carry the brand yet.

I was SO excited to recieve this lipstick because of the packaging, since my name is Monica. I purchased this in Natural Monica which is a gorgeous darker nude. However, I seriously can't stand the smell and the taste of this lipstick. It smells like old roses and that's exactly what it smells like too. If it wasn't for the smell and taste of this, I would completely love it. But, I think I'm going to return it because I can't get over the negatives of this lipstick.

Quick Take: creamy
Chic Monica 100 is very much a vivid pink color but very beautiful on. Highly pigmented, covers well and is glossy and creamy going on. Definitely feels good on the lips. I would recommend using a lip liner to make sure your lines are crisp if you are wearing this strong color plus it can bleed into lip lines.
