Quick Take: good value, travel size
What a fun kit! I've used the glittery mascara (on top of my black Tarte waterproof) twice now for evenings out, and it does draw attention! Gives your eyes a dewy look. Can comb it thru your brows too for extra sparkle. What's nice is that it doesn't flake metallic pieces into your eyes, which I was afraid of. And I am a HUGE FAN of Buxom lip polishes--addicted to the minty tingle!

Quick Take: a great set
I love this set.. The lip gloss has gold (and other color) sparkles that match very well with the gold mascara top coat. It's great for days when you want to do sexy/glam but don't have a lot of time!
Great to carry in your purse for when you leave the office...darken up your lips with some extra gloss and tip your lashes with gold and Voila! you are ready to party!!

Great gloss, disappointing mascara

I love the Buxom glosses, and Starr is one that I have bought before and wear often. I thought the mascara looked like a fun top coat for a night out, however, I found that one sweep deposited almost no glitter. Two sweeps wasn't much better, so I ended up using the glob at the tip of the wand to try to get any glitter on my lashes. After much work, the result was so subtle that it barely seemed worth the effort, let alone the expense of the product. I'm glad the gloss came with it, or it would be a total bust.
FYI, this gloss is a semi-sheer rose with a pretty good amount of iridescent microglitter. On bare lips, the effect is flattering, but subtle enough for day. Over lip stain (my favorite way to wear it), lip pencil, or lipstick, the effect is rather intense. There is a tingle, which I like, that lasts for about 15-45 minutes, and I do notice a slight plumping effect. My favorite thing about this gloss is that it doesn't travel or look sloppy, the way other glosses do, and it has a bit of staying power.
My recommendation: just buy the gloss in the full size for about the same price, and skip the mascara.

Quick Take: disapointing, okay, not what i expected
Looked like a fun little duo, but it was disappointing. The mascara did not show up and the gloss did not have much pigment. I am going to try the new Sephora brand glitter liner and mascara combo instead.

Quick Take: to good not to own
I love Buxom's gloss and am striving to own it in almost every color. It is the right amount of gloss, not sticky, and not too tingly. Star is a great on the darker side of color without being too bold.
Also do not be afraid of the gold sparkle mascara. It is pretty subtle and can only be seen in little flashes when paired with your regular lash regimen.

Quick Take: not worth it.
The gloss has a minty taste and it stings a lot and the mascara is not what I thought. The glitter does not stick right on the eye lashes. I thought that BUXOM products were better because I heard good things about them. Maybe someone might like them but not me.

I love this combo,
The lip polish is just amazing. It's not really minty but it does have that feel of lip plumper in it. I am even more dazzled by the glitter in it that just brings my lips to star status. After swatching them both in the store I couldn't get enough. I even bought and extra one in case I ran out cause I seriously use this everyday. I like how small and portable it is so I'm not stuck with a heavy bulky packaging. It makes you shine.

For the sale price, this set is a good one to grab! The lipgloss is a nice universal shade. What I really like is the gold glitter mascara. I am a fan of weird colored mascara, so when I saw this, I had to have it! Thanks Buxom for my glittery gold lashes!!!!

The buxom lip polish has quickly become my favorite color. I love the richness and texture...
That said, the mascara is - well... light. You need to put it on over another mascara and even then, you may not see much in the results. It's more like a light glitter for your lashes.

Well when I bought this sparkly duo, I wanted to test out the mascara, since its gold, but really you barley see the gold and when you apply the mascara you see glitter everywhere in your vision! The lipgloss is amazing but the mascara is meh.

I love the Buxom Gloss color in this duo! It is also just the right size, as I find the larger ones do not get used before I am ready to change colors. I do not use the gold mascara on my lashes, but found that if I put some on my fingertip I can add some sparkle to my eyeshadow!

Quick Take: good value, travel size, subtle, sexy, glamorous
this little set is truly amazing! it's subtle; which, judging from some of the previous remarks, isn't appreciated by many people. this will NOT turn your lashes into a metallic fringe. this will NOT coat each lash evenly with molten metal. it WILL, however, give a glittery dusting to the tips of your lashes, which can be beguiling, sexy, and - yes, subtle. however, the devil is in the details, so this does give more than a nudge towards glamour.
i paired this with the buxom gilt trip - the eyeliners, and the black karat baked eyeshadow by laura mercier.... i'm going to be playing with these for a while to come. and while the holidays might be over for the year, there's still alot of time to enjoy this look! i'll be buying at least another, so that i don't run out too quickly!

Disappointed, not what I thought...

Quick Take: not what i wanted
I was so happy to see this and was hoping to really have the gold mascara! It just didn't work. I did it by itself and nothing showed up. I put it over other mascara and all I saw were little glitter particles in my peripheral vision. Nothing was visible when you looked at the lashes. :( I don't like the tingling sensation of the lip gloss. I am so happy Sephora has such a great return policy. I brought it back and got something I loved.

I picked up this sparkling Lips and Lashes duo when I was at the checkout at Sephora. I pretty much love all things Buxom and just couldn't resist the idea of gold mascara!
When applying I find it's more of gold glitter mascara as opposed to full coverage/color but it's still a lot of fun and makes for a great gift as well!

Quick Take: good value
This lip gloss is amazing. It has already caused me to go back to sephora for another color! It is a very neutral color, and it feels great. The reason I originally bought this was for the mascara. I use an eyeliner brush and used this as a liner--as a mascara it did not show up that well...but it is fun as a liner.
