not for people with large pores or wrinkles

I had to return this as I knew I wouldn't use it. Where my skin is smooth it looked nice but my wrinkles and large pores were like a beacon asking to be stared at. I suppose if I used primers or something it might help but my goal was ease of use, not complications.

as good as the smaller containers, just bigger

I like the size. This is a staple, so no need to purchase it in smaller containers.
The only complaint I have is that this larger container didn't have the newer sifter-cover that slid over the holes. This larger container is just like the older powder containers that just had a sticker over the holes in the sifter but you couldn't close once the sticker was peeled off.
I scooped some into my other container w/ the sifter that closed. I'll probably use the powder from the big container at home and use the smaller one for travel, as my bf lives 4 hrs away now, and my parents live 750 miles away, so I travel w/ some regularity.

Quick Take: buildable coverage
I have been using bareMinerals for years and I love this super sized foundation! Not only because of the size but also because it doesn't have that awful lock and go lid! The other lady that said you leave a good amount of product in the bottom of the container is right! I like to get every bit of my make-up out of the container! The lock and go lid does not let you in to get all of the powder out! I think it is a ploy to buy more before you have too. I just ordered another container so I will have enough to hold me until the next time the special is on! Thanks BareMinerals for a great product! Just change back to the old shaker,or give us a choice for those who like the lock top!

This is the first time I've bought the exclusive jumbo size Bare minerals and I will definitely buy another one next year!! Amazing quantity for the price and the pretty box and gold lid are just so fun!! :)

Unfortunately I bought this makeup one shade too dark, which wasn't the worst of it. Though it went on very smooth at first, I noticed after a couple of hours that it was settling into fine lines and starting to look cakey. I have seen other women my age (early 30s) wearing this foundation and it looks absolutely flawless, but I guess my combination of dry skin and larger pores is not a good mix, which is such a bummer because I do like the way it feels on my skin. I just wish it looked as good.

Quick Take: buildable coverage, long wearing
love love the bare minerals foundation products! I have worn them for years and there is no comparison. I recently tried to switch to the compact of Bare Minerals, but couldn't make it work to my satisfaction, so I am back to the loose powder now! The only complaint I have is that I wish they would make the XL size year-round!!!

If you're looking for natural look this product is great for everyday wear and the finish gives my skin a subtle glow!! However the coverage is not good but that's the point of this product. If you apply more to get better coverage its just gonna look powdery. Use a concealer for hiding those dark spots or imperfections.

I love bare minerals and I always stock up when the XL size comes out. I like the bigger size because there is more room for my brush and it lasts me for about 6 months. The gold top is always nice as well.

Quick Take: buildable coverage
I've been using this foundation for years. It is fast and easy to apply, and feels very light. The coverage is excellent. I try other foundations, but always go back to my BM. I highly recommend!

Love bareminerals foundation! So when I got the chance to buy the value size I jumped on it. I like that it does NOT have the lock and go lid. I think the lock and go doesn't let you get all your makeup out of the bottom of the container. I like being able to take out the sifter lid and get it all out of the bottom at the end. Want not waste not!!! hahaha.

Quick Take: high quality, good coverage, doubles as concealer
I have used this foundation for many years and it is one of the few that I can use without irritation or breakouts. This one came in a very pretty package in a larger size, so that was a bonus.

Like always, I love my bare minerals foundation...so, when I saw the value size, I thought it'd be fantastic. The color and foundation is the same as always, and is great. My huge disappointment came in the fact that the foundation does NOT have the lock n go feature, so I feel some will be wasted over time. I'd have been willing to pay a little more, just to have that feature. It seems a shame.
