The Best Mascara & Primer!

Tried many mascaras & this is the only one I've used where I see a really notable difference! Lashes are thicker & longer. Primer really adds to results as well. Tried the Urban Decay & it left a white residue, this did not. Also like these small sizes cause you can really get in the detail of your lashes & you can change packaging more frequently so they stay fresh.

For me, this wasn't a great value at all. I would have been better off getting the full size of the mascara.
I absolutely loathe mascara primers, so I bought this to try out the mascara alone.
The mascara is, unfortunately, nothing special. It's just like any drugstore mascara I've used. I wouldn't recommend this unless you're super curious about this mascara and you love mascara primers.

Quick Take: portable, good value
Full disclosure: my lashes are fairly long naturally. HOWEVER, with this duo, they become insanely long. I love it. I just purchased the full-size primer (I'll eventually buy the L,C,L masacara, but I recently replaced my staple drugstore mascara, which also works well with the Tarte primer, by the way.) Tarte is an impressive brand that I'm becoming increasingly interested in.

I love this mascara! It looks great, washes off easily, and stays put. It doesn't irritate my eyes at all (and I'm allergic to most cosmetics). Thanks Tarte!

Quick Take: great value
I have blonde, very small eyelashes and have tried thousands of mascaras without any real difference. This stuff is seriously magical, makes my lashes look very long and thick, without the clumps. HIGHLY recommend!!

I was really excited to try this product, but unfortunately the sample didn't even work. The mini mascara was fine but the primer didn't even seem to have any product in the tube I used it one time and it didn't really even work that once. I would've sent it back, but it seemed like a waste of time. Wouldn't waste my money on this

I love this mascara! It's in my top 3 and it delivers. My lashes aren't thin or short to begin with but there was a noticeable difference between my bare eyes and then when I used this duo. Even my boyfriend noticed! My lashes didn't look like fake lashes but it was pretty close in my opinion. I agree with the other reviewers, the primer is a bit weird and seems dried out but that's the way it's supposed to be. There is also a small tendency for it to clump but nothing a brush can't fix.

I love how long and full my eyelashes are after I use this product, but I have to be careful with it because it tends to get clumpy easily. With this mascara I only need one coat and my eyelashes are the length and fullness I desire. Will definitely keep purchasing.

Not impressed with this product in the least. I'm a professional makeup artist and I must say I look for a nice even, non flaking, non dry looking primer and that's exactly what I got here. My lashes looked worse with the product then just a bare lash. Try harder.

Quick Take: trial sized, thickens, doesn't lengthen, a good trial, good for thickening
I found that this duo didnt do much for lengthening my eyelashes. It left the ends kind of white no matter how much I tried to cover them, but it made them really thick which was nice! I need the thickness not the length so a good fit for me, and for only 12$ it's a good price to pay for a trial size mascara. Won't be repurchasing

Questionable primer + bad mascara

I love Tarte - I have used their foundation/bb cream/blush/etc/etc and wanted to love their mascara. I have a full size of this mascara but wanted to try the primer and thought this was a great sample size to try it out. People who say they received a "dried out" bottle need to realize that is how it is supposed to be. Tarte's mascara is dry anyway and goes on very lightly. I am officially not a fan of their mascaras because it looks like you just tinted your lashes and takes what feels like a million coats to get any effect. I will say though that this mascara looks great and applies easily to bottom lashes. However - I am trying the primer out with other mascaras to see if its worth it with a mascara that is actually half decent.

Thick, but clumps easily

The primer liquid is very thick and tends to clump (both on the lashes and sticking the lashes together). The mascara works well, alone or over the primer, and doesn't migrate like some. It's not my favorite mascara system, but also not my least favorite. If you are looking for high impact, noticeable lashes, you will likely appreciate this product.

The product I received must've been dried out, no matter how many times I inserted the brush nothing came out. I'm not gonna say don't buy it, but this was my experience, not the best purchase for me.

I'd heard such wonderful things about Tarte's 'lights cameras lashes' mascara and so I wanted to get a sample size to test it out. I found this kit, which also contains a primer, on the website and gave it a go. My lashes are thin and short (that's what I get for being Asian, I guess) so the primer really helps to lengthen while the mascara adds a bit of volume. It's not over the top or clumpy, which I really appreciate. The formula doesn't leave my lashes stiff either - they're still soft and flexible. I actually prefer smaller-sized mascaras to the larger ones, as they tend to dry out on me before I can finish the tube so I plan on repurchasing this exact kit when I've finished up with the one I have. Plus, the travel-friendly size makes it great for tossing in my clutch for touch-ups.

I LOVE this mascara! It works when so many others have not. I have bigger, bolder lashes and they don't flake or rub off. It's gentle on my eyes and skin and I will definitely buy a full size. What a great trial size to see if you want to use this product!
