NOT HAPPY WITH IT
-05.23.13
I DIDN'T LIKE THIS AT ALL OR SEPHORAS PRIMER ANTI SHINE, NOT ENOUGH COVERAGE AND MY SKIN FEELS WAY TO DRY, I USED TO USE BARE MINERALS AND IM SO GOING BACK TO IT, IT'S A COUPLE OF BUCKS MORE BUT ITS WORTH IT, I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT OR THE PRIMER

not heavy at all!
-05.23.13
Quick Take: buildable coverage, long wearing, oil-free
I rarely wear powder foundation bc it gets cakey when I sweat, but this held up great for a wedding and never looked like I was wearing powder at all. I used the sephora brand liquid foundation in a few spots before I used the powder AND a primer to hold everything on my face really good. I was a clinique person until I started using this!

My 2nd favorite compact foundation
-05.20.13
This foundation is a better match for my skin tone than my #1 brand, but is lacking in the coverage department, IMO. I find this works better as a setting powder over liquid foundation than a "stand alone" foundation. Good deal for the price though!

Better than the old version; long-lasting
-05.20.13
Quick Take: long wearing, oil-free
I used and loved the previous version of this, in the round compact with the clear lid. I ran out of D05 in that (my spring and fall color) and bought this to replace it. I had to buy a shade darker (what they said would replace D10) to get a good match, but once I did, I found I loved it even more than the old version. (I don't know if any of the other colors run lighter; I just found that D05 did.)
I have very oily skin and the old version, though it worked, still was not matte enough nor long-lasting enough for me, but it was the best out there at the price point. This is much more matte, and it lasts much longer. It feels less creamy, which is reassuring to this oily lady. Of course, I still have to blot my face, but not as often, and this makeup stays on through the blotting. (It is unreasonable for truly oily-skinned people to expect never to have to blot. Just choose a makeup that stays on after blotting, and blot.)
The coverage is light to medium and can be reapplied without looking dead. It looks very natural and not dull. I never use the sponges that come with powder (I use a brush), so I cannot comment on the weirdly-shaped sponge, but apparently everyone else hates it. Well, use a brush; it will go on better anyway.
The only thing that would make this better is SPF 15, but I will still use it without it. I use a sunscreen for oily skin as my "primer" and it went on very smoothly. I don't do primers - the silicones in them break me out and make me feel suffocated, and this makeup works without it.

Pretty Good

Quick Take: oil-free
I use concealer and tone corrector and then this it looks really good. It doesn't really last very long though. I wish I could get it to stay longer, could anyone help with that?

Love! Except....
-05.16.13
The finish of the powder is very matte and it minimizes the shine on my face. I like that but I only am able to achieve this look when I use a powder brush. When I used the sponge, the make up went on cakey. I would recommend only using the sponge for doing only one part of the face (ie the nose). Use a powder brush if you are applying this all over your face.

Sephora collection 8 hour mattifying powder
-05.15.13
Quick Take: buildable coverage, long wearing
Compact case is more user friendly than the old one (having to flip if to get to the sponge and mirror)
Coverage is excellent - wish there was a flocked sponge vs. latex sponge
Color is true, lasts matte for up to 4 hours , then touch up is needed. I work in retail so I'm under lights and running around like crazy all day.
The only powder I think would have better coverage would be mineral makeup (except it isn't matte)
The price point is great for the quality!

comparison
-05.14.13
when i 1st tried the old version of this i absolutley FELL IN LOVE with it!! i have dark spots & oily skin, so with this powder it was the 1st time EVER i only needed to use concealer & powder without having to use a foundation. only difference is now that they "re-designed" it it isn't the same. i liked the old shape better..it did crack once it was starting to finish but wasnt a big problem as i didn't carry it around w/me. It did finish faster & loved that bc i didnt have to throw something away bc of change of skin color (beach tan). with the other one I knew exactly which color to use & now the colors i used before dont seem to be the same. before when i would get a tan i would use 33/34 & now im at a 33 & nowhere NEAR getting a tan just yet. This one doesnt seem to cover as well as the other one, as the other one made my face look more flawless. the sponge shape is horrible & i guess maybe its bc i have bigger hands but when i use it i get makeup on my fingers or in my nails at times. for the meantime tho i will use this one til i can find another powder that is similar to the old one as im not really too crazy about the new one. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD ONE!!!

Miss the old stuff
-05.13.13
Quick Take: oil-free
This is a reformulation of a similar Sephora product that I used for years. It's designed as a stand-alone foundation, but I've always used it as a setting powder. Man, do I miss the old one. This new version doesn't seem to have the same lasting powder. And I mean that in two ways- 1) it doesn't last as long throughout the day; and 2) the fall-out of this product is so extreme that I run through a compact in no time at all. I miss the stuff. Not sure why they changed the brought. I know the old packaging was worse than this one, but really- a complete reformulation was not necessary.

Do not like the new changes :(
-05.10.13
I have used the previous version of this foundation powder for years and found the buildability and quality worth coming back for. The old compact did break easily and I have not had that problem with this one yet. However, this formula seems different. It does not seem to cover as well and does not seem to last as long. It definitely does not seem as mattifying as the previous version. I also really do not like the new sponge shape. Also, comparing the old and new versions, there is slightly less product in this new one. I think I may need to find another powder foundation...

heavy
-05.09.13
I went in and ended up getting a consultation. The lady told me to use it as a setting powder after I told her I didn't want foundation. I was wondering why it felt heavy like a mud mask a couple of days later and then realized what it was...note to self: DON'T LET SOMEONE WITH HORRIBLE MAKEUP DO MINE.

I love this foundation because it always gives great coverage. It is very affordable, and easy to carry around. I use it over my liquid foundation to give a natural look.

HORRIBLE!!
-05.04.13
I used to use the original cover perfection liquid foundation that Sephora Collection had before they changed it to the Radiant Foundation. I was told to try this. I tried this for 2 weeks. Every time I put it on, it became blotchy. You cannot smooth out the blotchy parts. Do not even bother putting concealer on. I had to put concealer on because it's so sheer. The concealer became blotchy as well and wouldn't smooth out. (I was able to use it on my original foundation with no problem.)

Great product! Comparable to the MakeupForver Line
-05.04.13
Quick Take: long wearing, oil-free
This is a great product to use over liquid foundation especially if you have oily skin like me. I use mattifying primers and semi-matte liquid founation but I needed a LITTLE something else to get me through the day. This product did that for me. Unlike translucent powders, which can leave you looking ashy and ghost-like especially on darker skin, this product gives you a flawless finish without a cakey look.
However, on its own, it gives adequate coverage... not the best. I have acne scars that I like to cover up and this product covers them somewhat but not to the extent that I desire.
